The sign up fee was only $15 for a first time class, which was such a great deal. The studio is downtown in a little plaza with several other shops, with lots of parking available. The inside of the studio was stunning – so clean, so well lit, honestly felt like you were going into a spa. The reformers were particularly nice in the room we were in, as there were only 2 so it really felt like you were doing 1:1 training. Judy led our class who was wonderful – I’m so used to doing classes that push you to the breaking point without focusing on form, but Judy was super attentive and helpful which was so appreciated. The class was an hour, and felt like a great workout overall. A wonderful studio with wonderful teachers (all are great but special s\/o to Matthew and Mallory) and wonderful classes. I was lucky enough to take a variety and can highly recommend them all. For the beginner and advanced student alike, this is the place to build strength (mental AND physical), deepen your practice, and listen to great music while you do it. The level of care and devotion permeates from the teachers and into the room. Most of the classes are heated which is not something I am a huge fan of but there are enough regular classes for me. I feel like some instructors are much more professional and practiced than others but the ones who are good are very, very good. I also love their physical studio, I think it has the best set-up and arrangement and is a very calm and soothing environment. They have a wide variety of classes and I enjoy all of them and love having so many options. They’re always super helpful\/non-judgmental\/cater to you and your body. They also have incredible prices\/student discounts. I’ve gotten so many friends to come try it out with their “7 for $7” deal where you try 7 classes within 7 days for a total price of $7. They also do have free yoga mats to use and towels if you don’t have one. Some classes they use free weights. Some days I feel like doing barre, some days I want hot Pilates, sometimes I would rather do a more gentle\/restorative yoga, maybe a hot yoga, they really have every option and a lot of time slots throughout the week. I use the MIND BODY app to sign up for classes and it literally takes two seconds and is so convenient. Peoria most definitely needed a place like this and I’m so happy I gave it a try! I absolutely love going to Jacaranda classes! I was never into yoga at ALL before giving them a try and now I want to keep going!!! They also are very attentive and genuinely want to help you with whatever your body needs. They have beginner classes which help newcomers learn the art and technique of Pilates, and intermediate classes that always offer the option of even more advanced moves. I have been at Plank for a little over a month, and I have truly fallen in love. A car accident left me with a neck injury, and the sweet and knowledgeable staff at Plank are always offering suggestions specific to me and my injury so I can get the most out of class without leaving in pain.
