She gave me a reading last year that was on point mostly. There was just one confusing thing i wanted to re-address.
Shasa B F. rated 4 stars on 9/15/2014
I appreciate Judy letting me see her within short notice today for a reading. Her insight is amazing and straight on for the most part although her wide range of clientlel with similar experiences gives her an advantage to understand the common denominators to issues like my own. Where she sees where my emotions are guiding me, I would say that I had hope she give me more assurance that I can take charge of my own solutions. I just need validation of what made me so restless and she gave me the confirmation that I badly needed.

Honest, straight-forward and insightful. Judy is accurate in all that you have told me.I loved her energy, insight, and calm demeanor. She is amazing!
Elizabeth K. rated 1 stars on 7/6/2015
A friend and I went to visit Judy for a reading. I wasn’t sure if she really was legit or was she just gathering things from the things we told her. So, I waited several months to see if the things she told us we’re true. Fast forward 7 months the information she gave the both of us were totally wrong. I feel Judy is a gypsy and just waves her little pendulum over the paper for show. I’ve been to psychics before so I know what to expect. I’m just very sad that she prays on people when they are vulnerable. I would not recommend her at all. If you do decide to see her do not give her any info and be cautious.

If you are seeking relief from chronic pain or acute injuries, preparing for or recovering from surgery, and/or looking for holistic, trauma-informed bodywork that treats you as a whole person, Myofascial release, energy work, and shamanic healing can help. Myofascial release (MFR) is a form of bodywork that uses gentle, effective techniques to address pain and constriction within the connective tissue throughout your body, producing long-term pain relief and better health overall. Energy work, including Subtle Energy (Therapeutic Touch) work and Reiki, can help ground you and restore balance throughout body, mind, and spirit. Shamanic healing can remove negative energies, restore your vitality, and care for your spirit. Let’s talk about which ways of working—alone or in combination—are right for you. To get started, contact me today to make an appointment and talk with me about how I can support your healing journey.
History: I have always had an interest in the healing arts. As a U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sergeant, during two tours of duty in Okinawa, Japan, I was exposed to Shiatsu and massage as a method of lessening recovery time from strenuous training in various martial arts, including Karate, Okinawan weapons, and Iaido (swordsmanship). I started my bodywork practice in California, where I worked for five years both privately and at a fabulous facility in the Lodi wine country: The Spa at Wine & Roses. Of the 30 therapists, I was the “Most Requested Therapist” in 2010. In 2011, I moved to northern Virginia. I had a solo practice in Reston, VA, for six years, where I worked on athletes, children, diplomats, people from “Three-Letter Agencies,” retirees, and military personnel. Then in 2017, I moved my private practice to Williamsburg, Virginia, where I am today.

John is a great MFR therapist! It’s evident in his touch that he is very passionate and dedicated about helping people. I can honestly say that John is very intuitive and has a great sense of touch. MFR has personally changed my life and I no longer suffer from migraines and menstrual issues. It really is authentic whole body healing! I first met John at an advanced MFR seminar and I can immediately tell that he has a pleasant demeanor and a great sense of humor. He took the time to treat my arms and showed me self treatment techniques for my wrists, arms and shoulders and I am so appreciative. I also remember him really taking the time to help another therapist with an issue and to me that was a such a selfless act of kind and compassion. John is also the founder of Warrior Recovery Network, a much needed resource for veterans to receive myofascial release for PTSD and other ailments. It’s a great way to share and bring myofascial release therapists that offer volunteer time to our serviceman an servicewoman and experience authentic healing. Please book your appointment with John and feel first hand how MFR can help you have a pain-free life!Thank you John for being you and having such a loving and caring heart!

I have experienced a couple of amazing Myofascial release (MFR) sessions with John Ludwig. The first time I saw him I didn’t know anything about MFR, so I was checking out the technique and finding out more about it. John took the time to explain what it was and some possible things I might experience, which was helpful. During our first session, a painful memory from my childhood came up, that I thought I had already let go of. With John’s gentle guidance, I was able to truly heal it. I was able to release guilt and shame that I have carried for 30+ years and forgive myself for the first time. I also noticed over the next few days after my appt that I felt an increase in my self-esteem and self-confidence. I thought that was very interesting and wondered what other benefits I could experience from this fascinating work.I have had a lot of painful digestive problems for the last 20 years. I’ve seen many doctors and they had no idea what was causing it. They diagnosed it as “Irritable Bowel Syndrome” and several of them even told me to not come back because there was nothing they could do for me. As you can imagine, that did not help me with the nearly-constant pain that I was in. I booked a second appointment with John in the hopes of receiving some healing for this area. I was not disappointed. For the 4 days following that appt, I felt better than I ever had both physically and emotionally. I was full of love, joy and peace and my digestion was great and pain-free! This was absolutely astounding to me and a promising beginning to healing my digestive system. I know there are more things within my fascial, emotional and energetic system that need to be released/healed. One thing John told me during our first appt was “My goal is to get you to the place where you don’t need to come back.” I like that kind of attitude in a therapist. The sessions are worth every penny.Since then I have been doing some reading about MFR. I have discovered that by releasing areas of tightness in the myofascia, any number of shifts and changes can happen in the body on all levels (mind/body/emotions). It can help many different physical problems and issues because it doesn’t just treat a symptom, but heals the problem. I do not understand how something so simple can have such profound results, but it does. It is clear that John cares deeply about people. He was fully present with me and I felt safe with him. His touch is warm and caring. He is non-judgmental, gentle, encouraging and creates a safe place to do healing work. He has taken a lot of MFR classes and is an expert in it. I highly recommend him.
Linda N. rated 5 stars on 9/23/2013
John is the man to see for MFR and massage. He is well trained and professional. His knowledge of the human body is amazing. I saw him the first time for a back problem and felt great relief afterwards. I continued seeing him monthly for a maintenance massage until his recent move. If you have a chance to receive a massage from John don’t pass it up.

I first saw Sasha when I was in high school as an elite athlete and he helped me immensely with intense pain in my lateral quad with dry needling and E-Stem. Now as an adult with chronic issues for over 12 years, I came back recently and he literally eradicated my pain. If you’re considering physical therapy there is no one better out there He’s an absolute must!

This place has been great for me so far, everyone is extremely friendly, the office environment is relaxed and welcoming, Erin has helped my pain a lot in only two visits. They even allowed me to bring my young kids in with me while I was being worked on and were super understanding. Highly recommend!

I have been seeing Sasha at Peak for several years now and he has assisted in multiple areas from plantar fasciitis to knee pain to post surgical rehabilitation to lower back and hamstring reconditioning. I consider him to be simply the best with dry needling, helping me a great deal. Following a doctor’s consult regarding my knee And their desire to do surgery Sasha, reviewed my symptoms and was able to remedy all the pain without any surgery required. Sasha and Peak are extremely knowledgeable regarding muscle imbalances and treatment plans to help you get back into an active lifestyle and having been a triathlete in the past, he knows the different muscles that get impacted from the sport. I highly recommend him and Peak

I have just moved here (and have had over 10 PTs over the course of the past 5 years) and was referred over to this PT. After only ONE session, i have a wholesome understanding of what exactly is causing my pain. I was shown which muscles were being restricted and how to loosen them up through specific stretches. I used to think PT didn’t work, but I was wrong. 10 out of 10 would recommend this practice. Every employee was friendly and helpful.
Bradley S. rated 5 stars on 7/6/2018
I needed PT after a car accident. Sasha and Cindy took time to evaluate my injuries and come up with a plan to get things back to the way they used to be. What I thought was very nice was that every time I was in there, it was like the first time. They didn’t cut corners or assume that I knew what to do. I’ve already recommended one coworker to them, and I’d continue to suggest people give them a shot.

I had a wonderful massage at Inner Peace Wellness (innerpeacewellness.com (innerpeacewellness.com))with Christine. She was very attentive and professional, and she used just the right amount of pressure to sense which muscles needed to be worked on. The place was clean and cozy, and christine was friendly and helpful. What set Christine apart from other massages.1. She creates a unique blend of oil for the conditions I am having that day.2. The massage was longer than a normal massage. When she said it would be 90 minutes, I was worried about being bored. However, I was never board and it lasted two hours. I would describe the massage as positively transformative!3. Christine’s knowledge of body and mind was exceptional. Her practice is more than just a massage, so take a look at what she offers. I highly highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an excellent massage and transformative experience!

We specialize in people! We offer classes for every level of experience providing the optimal Hot Yoga, Hot Vinyasa, Restorative Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Barre and Hot Barre class for every person who walks through our doors. Did you know….if you can breathe, you can do yoga! We look forward to helping you find the classes that are a perfect fit for YOU!
History: My name is Katy, and I am the founder of Studio South. Several years ago, I thought I was not the “yoga type”. I wasn’t flexible or in particularly great shape, having just had 2 babies in less than 2 years, life was a little crazy! But I walked into a Hot Yoga studio in Virginia Beach called Hot House. Inside I found an incredibly friendly, non-judgemental atmosphere that allowed me to explore yoga at my own pace. If I stayed in child’s pose (a yoga equivalent to the fetal position) it was ok! After practicing with the Yax family at Hot House, I decided that my hometown of Williamsburg needed what Virginia Beach had. So I set the plans in motion to build Studio South! We love what we do and love sharing yoga, barre, and beyond with the wonderful members of our community!

I made the mistake of going to another hot studio in Northern VA and was bitterly disappointed. The energy and atmosphere that Studio South has is unmatche. Now I’m no professional yogi or advanced anything, but the instructors are respectful and kind while still helpful and constructively critical. The studio is CLEAN. Such a huge deal to me, and I didn’t even realize until I saw another hot studio with carpet instead of the hard flooring. There is never any odor, even at the height of class. AND there is an immense student discount!! 275$ for the year or something like that when I’ve seen memberships as high as 1800.
Laura H. rated 3 stars on 10/2/2019
I won’t return here. They have a crazy cancellation policy which does not permit you to cancel over the phone. There was about an 8-month period where I couldn’t attend (due to “life,”), so for 8 months I paid the monthly fee thinking I’d start up again at some point and 8 months I paid them and didn’t use anything I was paying for. After about 8 months I decided that at that time, I probably wasn’t going to go back for a while. I was out of town on a trip when I called to cancel, and they would not cancel my membership over the phone. It was a lengthy trip, so I got charged an additional 2 months for a membership simply because I was in a completely different state and they would not cancel my membership over the phone or even just send me an email cancellation option. You’d think, since we are almost in 2020, that they could figure out a way to accommodate people who need to cancel via phone or email. No. I had to wait until I returned and could physically go in to cancel – absolutely ridiculous, and I was charged for an additional 3 months because of that. It has been almost a year, and this still makes me upset. I will never go back to this studio due to what I feel was extremely poor customer service. I understand they have this noted on their webpage — you’d better make sure you read everything before you sign up with them, is all I can say. Personally, I find it ridiculous and I’ll find another yoga studio.Other than this issue, I actually enjoyed this studio and I would have highly recommended them to anyone. But after that — I’m sorry, but I don’t understand why someone can not cancel over the phone or via email. It’s a bit ridiculous to require someone to personally go in and cancel, especially if they are in a completely different state. What would have happened if I had moved and forgotten to cancel? Would they just keep charging me and I would have to purchase a plane ticket solely to come and cancel my membership in person? It’s almost 2020, people — time to get into the digital age.

Today I enjoyed two classes from home!Something I was never able to accomplish before this Staying Home Time. Luckily, my favorite studio never missed a beat and while they closed the studio doors they blew the virtual possibilities wide open. Now I can just sign up for classes and enjoy them LIVE on line. LIVE is so much better and motivating. Community is important! I’m getting to try instructors I never had class with before due to my own hectic life. Added bonus: no extra fees for my cats to join in on class! No judgement as per usual as a novice I am inspired to see my yoga mates doing it their way during class. Grateful to still have yoga even though so much else is upside down.
Alicia G. rated 3 stars on 2/10/2021
The studio is very clean and many classes are taught by wonderful instructors. However, many teachers seem to lack theoretical background in the principals/teachings of yoga. For example, in class once an instructor explained dharma incorrectly as the spark that brings you joy. I’m ok with a person not knowing things but don’t presume to explain the philosophy of yoga without doing some reading first. It isn’t supposed to just be a form of exercise. Also, as of late, the customer service has not been very good. Given the high cost, this is not ok. I’ve found a new place to practice with a more humble vibe and won’t ever be going back. I wish them good luck.
Sandee D. rated 2 stars on 4/18/2019
This studio looks good on the outside. It is very clean and offers a variety of classes. However, it has become more of a boutique lately and it seems as though the owner is more interested in selling merchandise than the practice of yoga. She seems to have lost her way a bit. People who work there for years disappear without any explanation and there have been many over the 4+ years I went there. It was OK (other than the monthly fee) until I asked to take a leave of absence for a month for a very personal issue. I was told I would have to “rejoin” when I returned at the $139 a month versus the $109 I was paying. This is extremely expensive. I found a new Yoga home and am saving so much money as well as practicing with a lot of true Yogis.
Deborah Jane W. rated 5 stars on 4/28/2020
I adore Studio South and so appreciate the founder, instructors and facility. They care deeply about their members and strive to be of service to them physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. When Covid-19 hit and required social distancing and sheltering in place, the studio expanded its offerings in a matter of a few days to support instructors live streaming classes from their homes and in making on demand videos of classes available 24/7 to members. Thank you so much for all you do to foster joy, hope, belonging and vitality by boosting my mindfulness, stamina, strength, flexibility, stability and dexterity.

Studio South is a wonderful yoga community and so much more: in good times and times of crisis the yogis are so positive and supportive of your individual yoga practice, all while building a warm, welcoming fellowship in yoga, barre, and other outlets. The creation of the Om From Home sessions are just what many need right now. I am grateful to SS for responding quickly and creating this online opportunity for yoga and connection to others.

This place has it all! When joining any workout/gym/studio we all feel a bit out of place at first but not here. The staff is friendly and amazingly helpful. They walk you through all the classes and are more than happy to answer any questions. This was my first time at trying Barre classes and I’ll admit I was hesitant. The staff being so helpful and friendly put all my reservations at rest and now I can’t stop telling all my friends how amazing they are!!! This place makes you feel like family. I look forward to seeing the staffs friendly faces everyday and love the challenge of all the classes.

The people are amazing, hardworking, and helpful. After tearing my left ACL, I had to move between physical therapists, and this place helped me so much. Despite what the other reviews say, all of the staff call me by name, are accommodating of my wild schedule, and genuinely care for my recovery. So long as you are outspoken and honest about your condition and needs, they’ll put you on the right path to recovery. It can get busy, but the people are nice, knowledgeable, and dedicated!

If you can go anywhere else I would recommend it highly. The front desk treats you as if they could care less if you gave them your business. The equipment is not state of the art, the staff juggles 4-5 clients all at the same time and worst of all they do not refer to you by your name. That lady, her, she but they seem to be too busy and unconcerned to address you with respect. I found a new place that is amazing and who I will refer anyone to that asks. Sorry Tidewater, you lost my trust and my money.

I came to Core Fitness as a Physical Therapy client. I fell off a ladder and broke my tibia. I was a PT client at Peak Physical Therapy which is affiliated with Core Fitness for four months. I enjoyed working with the PT staff and after my PT treatments were complete I decided to join Core Fitness to continue improving my level of fitness. After a year as a Core client I am in better shape and am seeing multiple health benefits. The staff at Core (and Peak) is top-notch. They are friendly, enthusiastic and are committed to helping their clients improve. The facilities are modern, clean, and have a variety of equipment to support almost any personal training objective. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone needing physical therapy and to anyone who is seeking to get in better shape.

Comber physical therapy itself wasn’t my favorite experience, but Dr. Danielle Young deserves all accolades for making therapy wonderful. She was very well educated on my situation and went out of her way to help me recover in a timely manner. I absolutely adore her. I was barely able to walk when I walked into comber but with her persistence and patience I’ve been able to run. The negative side is there seems to be a high turnover rate. There is also a gentleman named Chris who calls around dinner time, even though I requested him to no longer call. In my humble opinion, Dr. Young is the best in the business and worth the headache of turnovers and a persistent man who calls without purpose. Without Dr. Young I wouldn’t be able to be the parent I am today. I will forever be indebted to her for giving me my life back.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr.Bruce today and could not be more pleased. I had a chiropractor in Maryland that I loved so was a little reluctant to find a new one. Happy to have found Fusion Chiropractic, and Dr. Bruce. The staff at the front desk were friendly making me feel welcomed. Tavon was a gem and so easy to talk with. This was my first visit so I was impressed that Dr. Bruce took time to get to know me and what was going on. And Asking several questions and sharing his education and experience as well as a little about himself gave me confidence that coming here was a good move. And speaking of moving, after just one session I feel amazing. I am thrilled which is why I am taking the time to share. If you need Chiropractic care check Fusion out, ask for Dr Bruce, and I believe you will be very pleased. For sure two thumbs up!

There are not enough good words to describe the staff at this particular Comber’s facility. The place is very clean and they are very fast to disinfect the equipment and or beds after each use. All the staff members take the time to explain in detail what exercise or stretch will be for the day. I have and will continue recommending this place to anyone that I know who may need any physical therapy .

First the positive — the physical therapists are fantastic. I had rotator cuff surgery and was getting scar tissue build-up. The work they did on me helped significantly. It seems a bit chaotic there at first — but came to realize it was controlled chaos and they had everything under control. Now the negative — Make sure that you do not get overcharged! I had reached my cap with my insurance company and therefore did not need to pay a co-pay. Despite my questioning it on multiple occasions, they required me to make a payment on each visit. I overpaid them by hundreds of dollars. Even though they were getting the payments from my insurance — they did not stop collecting from me. Once I gave the verification from the EOB from my insurance, they agreed that they owed me a refund. However, they would not refund me UNTIL I WAS NO LONGER A PATIENT! I had to stop going there and opt to move to a different PT group in town. The therapists were stunned and disappointed — as was I. It has now been several weeks and I still do not have my refund. My advice is to carefully and immediately follow up with your insurance to make sure that you do not overpay Comber.

DPT Young was excellent. I highly recommend her. I also had good experiences with the other DPTs I had there, recommend them too. Front desk was always very helpful. Like another said there was some staff turnover. Been to other places and this was my best experience.

Bulifants location: The front desk staff are rude. I don’t understand why my fiance and I are not greeted upon our arrival…not a word! As I wait, seated not 20 feet away, others are greeted cheerfully when they enter.? We’ve received this treatment ever since we pointed out a charge the male receptionist told us we had to pay was found by myself and confirmed by the office manager to be erroneous. I will NEVER again choose this location for therapy services, and probably not Comber at all.

I’ve been going here for about 9months and have had some major problems with their receptionists. The doctors are wonderful, but my complaints have fallen on deaf ears until Dr. Hummel was hired. He is the first to listen. I have had major medical issues for the last 8 years (including 11 surgeries, the last of which was in August), which is why I have attended their practice. They were fully aware of my issues and that I would sometimes need to cancel or change appointments. One of the receptionist’s has repeatedly tried to kick me out of the practice and has attempted to refuse to book me, despite the higher ups and doctors excusing my attendance due to my very real and severe medical issues. Dr. Hummel has been very kind and helpful in all aspects of my treatment and has listened to my frustrations and has made a plan of action to help (as it seems many others have had similar issues with her). This has given me much hope because I was close to switching practices. When you are 28yrs old, trying to finish law school, having had to take 4 years off of school due to surgeries caused by a broken back from playing D1 volleyball, the last thing you need is to feel guilty that you aren’t able to get out of bed on a particular day, especially by the doctor’s office that is supposed to be helping you. I really hope Dr. Hummel is able to turn this practice around because the doctors are great, really care, and really help!

Great place, Dr. Russ and the staff are all talented professionals who know exactly how to make the pain go away! Was here for knee rehab and first visit walked out with 80% less pain. Easy, flexible hours and simple location. I worked with two PTs and three PT Assistants and they are all knowledgeable experts. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone who need to recover from injury.

Love this place! I am here for a few months for work. Had total shoulder replacement and a lot of pain. Everyone is super attentive and really good at reading their patients. Could not ask for a better PT experience!

I have had issues with my left foot not responding after surgery. I received top-notch care at Comber. Kristin was the main therapist and Mya worked with me as well. They both exerted every effort to get a better response from my foot and did a fantastic, professional job. I always felt welcomed there by everyone at every level. I highly recommend their expert care, good humor, and excellent results.

With all the options available locally for workout and fitness locations it’s hard to decide which one is the right fit…many times the “special offer” trial period is so short you can’t get a real feel for what you’re getting yourself into. I bought a Groupon for 10 sessions and that was plenty of time to get hooked! Pure Barre at Wburg is great on many levels…first of all, it’s an excellent low impact workout that shows results in a short amount of time. Secondly, the instructors are great…Jill makes sure she knows your name, gives great encouragement during the class and pushes you to your limit and makes you believe you can do it. My arms and stomach are showing definition after seven sessions over a month. And finally, classes are varied and you won’t get into a rut or bored with a routine. Unlike some of the gyms in town, there are women of all shapes, sizes and ages…easy to be a newbie and not feel out of place.

This studio is awesome and I wish my body was able to do more of the workouts. Barre itself is an intense workout. They do offer a free beginner class for anyone that wishes to try the workout. Heidi was the instructor and she was full of energy and very helpful. I might go back and take a class here and there if my body allows me.

So obsessed with this studio! It’s a killer workout and an amazing community. The staff knew my name on the first day and all the other patrons welcomed me and helped me get started. Varying classes to keep it interesting and convenient times for busy schedules.
