I’ve been plagued with lower back pain, spasms for over a year. Combination of getting old and a congenital defect. Orthopedic surgeon doesn’t recommend surgery at this time, rather physical therapy to strengthen my core and increase flexibility. The Orthopedic office provided me with a list of recommended Physical Therapy locations in the Tally area. There aren’t many with reviews on Yelp. I chose Tallahassee Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy. My first appointment was a meet and greet, fact finding and review of my history. Started seeing them 2x per week for 5 weeks now.Tina is my therapist. She’s knowledgeable and genuinely cares for her clients. Diligent at focusing on my issues. I’ve been given various exercises to do as homework (I’m not a good student, I’m compliant about 50% of the time. Results to date have been terrific. Of late, I’m pain free and my flexibility is greatly improving along with stronger core muscles. The facility is clean and well equipped. If you’re looking for a physical therapy facility, give TOSPT a try. They’re located on Capital Circle NE.

Dr. Zachary Verrier has been nothing short of a breath of fresh air- he is an overall committed, passionate, knowledgeable, thorough provider who cares about his patients and their wellbeing. Dr. Verrier always has a possible solution to my physical problem areas and works to make sure whatever he recommends is a good fit to my physical needs and can easily fit into my lifestyle and daily schedule. He has a very holistic and thorough approach that includes full body adjustments as well as at home exercises, various stretching recommendations, and various other at home entities made to make my life easier. I have noticed a huge change in my posture and the way I carry myself. This mental connection and cognizance have been absolutely imperative in addressing my spinal health- present and future. He is focused on educating the patient in a way that empowers and motivates them to take small steps towards corrective posturing that over time have resounding impacts. The office is also paired with incredible massage therapists, and varying services to ensure all of your needs are met and addressed as best as possible. Not to mention the overarching warmth and amiability displayed by the staff- I truly feel they want me feeling my best.As much as I love going into the office to see my friends at Magnolia Chiropractic (shoutout to my girls Dede and Alissa) I love even more knowing that we are all working towards a common goal of getting me to a place where I don’t have to consistently come in and fix things- they strive towards upkeep, and consistence maintenance to ensure I am physically, mentally, and emotionally living my best life.

I’ve been to multiple doctors for my scoliosis problem over the years, but this office is by far the most professional and very friendly! Recently I’ve been involved in a car accident and they have helped me jump to a speedy recovery! I highly recommend checking in and become acquainted with Dr. Zackary , Nurse DD, Reception Desk & Legal Advisory because they will make your day a lot easier!

I was very skeptical about chiropractic practice until I came here and tried it for myself. I had been experiencing almost constant pain, the type which isn’t completely debilitating but uncomfortable enough where I was constantly twisting trying to relieve the pain. I came to them at first solely because the location was great for me, but I stayed because Dr. Zachary Verrier was genuine, I could feel the results, and I appreciated his holistic approach to health and well being. He was and is very assuring when it came to concerns, he came up with a plan moving forward for adjustment (turns out I have minor scoliosis), and he is very knowledgeable. All together I’ve been happy with my experience there and still go for scheduled appointments. *Also, I have United Health Care and I believe they accept all UHC plans, but am unsure of what other coverage options they accept; you can just call and ask 🙂

I started going here as a new patient but not new to chiropractors a few months ago. I think I had a total of 4 or 5 appointments. I have a repetitive motion injury from 5 years ago that still flares up and in general a weak back that has issues after long days at my physical job. During my first appointment, no x rays were taken, no physical given, I don’t think Dr. Verrier even felt my spine before he began adjusting me. With each appointment, I would notice I really did not feel that much better after, sometimes even having more or new pain after the fact. I have pain in my mid back today where I’ve never had it before. I’ve gone to four other chiropractors in my life, never had a problem. It did not occur to me until today what was missing here. All of the other chiropractors began my first appointment with x rays, a physical and sometimes even a scan of your back. In my opinion, it is irresponsible not to. How can you adjust a spine when you don’t know what it looks like? I won’t be returning. I already found a new chiropractor in Tallahassee that won’t even allow an adjustment without X-ray and a physical before my first adjustment, in fact, the X-ray and physical will happen at the first appointment and an adjustment at a second one after they’ve had time to review them.

Since 1990, The Center for Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy | COSPT has offered physical therapy to patients suffering from orthopedic, sports, and vestibular related conditions in Tallahassee, FL, and North Florida. COSPT Physical Therapists provide evidence-based assessment & rehabilitation treatment to rapidly resolve back, neck, and other joint pain, improve function, and prevent recurrence of pain and injury-related conditions within the first three clinical visits & are advancing the treatment of dizziness, disequilibrium, vertigo, and balance through vestibular therapy.COSPT serves as headquarters for the Integrated Musculoskeletal Care (IMC) Family of Companies–a network of advanced practice JointStrong Clinical Providers.
History: COSPT grew out of a small clinical practice established by Tom Kane in Tallahassee, Florida, in the early 1990s. The practice’s lead researcher, Chad Gray, believed the prominent regional clinic had the makings of a world-class musculoskeletal condition management company. Gray invited Mark Miller (an international faculty member in MDT methods and a protégé of the method’s pioneer) to join the Tallahassee-based clinical practice. Gray and Miller jointly led literature reviews, practice-based research initiatives, and Fortune-500 insurance claims analysis projects to better understand current practice patterns and establish a new gold standard in orthopedic care.

I recently had the pleasure of taking my sister to COSPT for a series of therapy visits. She was initially sent for fall evaluation, but her therapist, Risa Green, took a personal interest and virtually transformed her life. When she began therapy she was on a rollator full time, and on 3 liters of oxygen 24/7. Also had major BP and blood sugar issues. Thanks to Risa’s determination, caring and expertise, within a few weeks she was off of both the rollator and substantially off of the oxygen during the day. Her last month or so of visits required no oxygen, and she is now able to go out for a haircut or out to eat without the burden of the rollator or oxygen. I was very impressed with the whole organization, from the front desk personnel to all of the therapists I saw in action. This is a first class organization.

My mother went to cospt for sciatica. Being 80 and on a fixed income, she asked what the charge would be after her first visit. They responded that they would let her know after it was processed with her insurance. This was repeated after her second visit. Following her third visit, she was finally told that her bill for three 1 hour visits was $971. Her insurance covered half. If Cospt is going to charge over $323 per hour per visit, they should atleast be able to provide an estimate of the amount that they will be charging. Absolutely exorbitant prices with little regard for a patients ability to pay.

I couldn’t recommend COSPT more, and I have worked with 3 therapists in there now (Alan, Erin, and Chris). I had a knee issue that only would occur when I ran. I went to a chiropractor for help but nothing worked so I went to COSPT. Right off the bat, they are dedicated to getting to know you, your problems, what feels right for you, and what is a sustainable solution for you. They thoroughly explained to me the methods they would try and they walked me through my at home exercises for treatment. They stress that they do not give their patients any exercises that they don’t see them perform first in the clinic, and they keep it simple and short. I kept a great working relationship with my therapist, who was always active to respond to be via their texting app. My problem was extremely complex (an upper thoracic issue that caused my knee–who knew?) so Erin ended up collaborating with another therapist in the clinic for help. They were very eager to help me and they made sure I was doing everything properly. They really exhaust every option possible–which is amazing. Finally, after months, we managed to figure out the problem. When I started first running again with no pain, I couldn’t have asked for a better support. They were so proud of me, and I was so thankful for them. They are so dedicated to their patients and have such a skill with their craft.

I have surveyed the market and I can tell you that Fit and Functional Is the best in individualized physical therapy.I had been essentially bed-ridden for 18 months, primarily with serious nerve damage from a fall down a long flight of steps. After many surgeries, my pain management team gave me a choice of 10 physical therapists. I stayed with my first choice for 6 months. Although highly rated, they did it “by the book” without regard to my personal situation. And it was not a private session: A physical therapist would get me started on an exercise and then get the next person started. What’s more, even with medical insurance, my out-of-pocket costs were very high.Over time, I visited every place on the surgeon’s list, tried some, and was eventually referred to Fit and Functional by a family member who is excellent at medical research. She recognized that Sherman and his staff had the exceptional training I needed. My situation could not be handled with a cookie-cutter approach.I have been with Fit and Functional for 10 months. First, they worked on my balance issues so I would stop falling even on a level surface. They have steadily helped me regain strength and stamina. I go twice a week and work with a private physical therapist who is terrific. I could not ask for anyone better – this includes Sherman and anyone else I’ve worked with. They understand MY body and what I need to do. Sherman diagnosed my lymph node problems before the medical doctors did and he adjusted my sessions accordingly.I am steadily improving and look forward to my sessions there, which, by the way, cost less than the recommended physical therapists.

After my failed foot surgeries in 2016, I struggled to get motivated to run again. I’ve always been a pretty healthy and active person, but everything hurt my feet so I pretty much gave up on running and most fitness altogether. I had surgery again and decided that this time I wasn’t going to let my feet get in the way of my health. I hobbled into Fit & Functional while I was still in a cast and told Sherman I needed help gaining strength and getting fit again. I started working with him in the following weeks, surgical boot and all. My left leg was extremely weak, but I slowly began to see improvement. Two months later, I gained enough strength in my leg and joined the Core 7 program. The workouts are challenging but fun and the trainers are motivating. Despite being unable to run and jump since I began my fitness journey, there’s been noticeable progress. I feel more energized, motivated, and confident. Most of all, I actually enjoy working out!

Waste of time! I purchased a groupon for a massage here and it was the worst massage I’ve ever received. Whenever I called the place the guy on the other end of the phone whispered creepily and had like no personality. The massage itself was done by some older lady who seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. I do not recommend!

I’ve had some great massages over the years but by far the best are the ones I have gotten from Nick at F&F. He is extremely knowledgeable and intuitive. I was so crippled the first time I went to see him. I had really messed up my back and was in a lot of pain and not sleeping well. He did a really deep massage and got my spine completely re-aligned. By the time I left, I was 100% pain free and slept like a log that night. Whenever I am hurting, I go see Nick and he fixes me right up. He’s also a really nice man and I always enjoy talking to him.

These people could not have picked a better person to write a review for them. I have been going to this studio for more than a year and the service is superb. As they are personal trainers, they personally train you. My schedule changes often and not a problem whatsoever. My trainer is dedicated to the best health I want to achieve, not what he wants for me. They work with all physical conditions and ages. Much love and major shout out to Sherman, Bill, and my beloved Nigel. These guys and gals are top rate.

Bought a groupon for an hour massage for my back which was jacked up. They were able to fit me in early the next morning and the massage therapist was able to work the knots out of my back. I was actually able to walk around the rest of the day and sleep that night! Totally Worth It!!!!!!!! Thanks Fit & Functional!!!! 🙂

I recently had a massage at F&F and I was very pleased with the massage. I’m forgetting the therapist’s name but he was wonderful. It was cold in the room and I would suggest a space heater or heated blanket for the limited number of cold days we have here in Tally. Based only on massage my rating would have been higher, My problem though, was with the woman at the desk when you checked in. I walked in and she completely ignored me, to the point that the trainer who was busy working with a private client had to ask her to help me. She was rude and not a great first impression for what otherwise looked like a great facility. My check out process wasn’t much better, I had trouble accessing my groupon and asked if I could call her later with the number to process it even though it said it had been redeemed. She said no, that she didn’t want me trying to redeem it again for another visit. She really put a negative energy to the whole experience if I’m being honest. The massage was great but I don’t think it was good enough to put up with being treated like that.

Do not ever come to this location. They are horrible. I requested and made an appointment for an annual physical. But after sitting for over an hour in the room and not seeing Dr. Mignon (like I requested) but a PA I was asked to come back in a month. They wanted me to come back in a month to do my actual physical and do my blood work and this was only an initial visit. All they are trying to do is bill insurance companies and get money out of people. Do not bother with this location. All of the other reviews on the internet regarding this center is holding true and it’s sad for the fact I was trying to support black medical doctors.

I had a back experience with their front desk/phone people; the owner tried to reach out to me trying to make it better. I am happy with the manager, but it does not change the first impression.

Michelle is a great energy worker and a wonderful person! She was the very first healer and Reiki Practitioner I worked with when I started this journey several several years ago. Let me say it was life changing. That being said I was fortunate enough to travel this weekend to meet her in person as well as become a student of her Reiki Classes. I was initiated in Reiki Level I by Michelle and it was an extraordinary experience!! I am working toward my Masters in Reiki and plan on taking every level needed to accomplish that through Michelle. Michelle also has a Vogel Crystal Bed and I was able to have a session using the crystal bed at her place of business. I don’t even have words to explain how awesome this experience was!! Thank you Michelle!! I feel blessed to begin this journey of my path with your mentorship, wisdom and knowledge.

I booked with Michelle when the doctors couldn’t find a way to regulate my hypertension that is caused by stress. Michelle immediately contacted me to connect on a more formal level. She was patient and answered every question. Before my session she sat down and explained the process and what I may experience during the session. Again, she was patient and wasn’t regulated by time constraints. During my session Michelle ensured I was comfortable and asked if the music or temperature was of concern. Michelle is compassionate, highly knowledgeable and an expert in the healing process. I left feeling like a brand new, enlightened and uplifted woman. I can’t thank Michelle enough and I’ve recommended her to my family and friends. I’m looking forward to my second session. Michelle is the real deal!

She decided to cancel my appointment unbeknownst to me and then was rude. Glad I didn’t waste my time or money on this quack. If you’re looking for healing, this isn’t it.

I have had multiple Reiki sessions with Michelle and each time I have had great results. Once in person on back which was in a tremendous amount of pain. During the session I began to get relief, an hour later my back didn’t hurt at all. I also got a distance healing on my feet and ankles which brought me almost instant relief. I look forward to mre Reiki in the future! I highly recommend her to anyone needing healing.

I had a Distance Healing with Michelle for general stress, anxiety, and sleep, as well as to feel more spiritually connected. I felt extremely calm and relaxed during the whole thing! I’m usually somewhat fidgety when trying to lie still, but my body and mind were peaceful. Afterwards, I continued to feel very calm and stress-free as I went on with my day. When I went to yoga that night, I felt like my practice was even better than usual and I didn’t compare myself to others as much. I fell asleep quickly at night and slept pretty well, only waking up once. I really enjoyed and benefited from my session and I would recommend Michelle to everyone. Thank you, Michelle!
