I love this bookstore. It’s so cozy and they have a wonderful selection of books to choose from! I particularly enjoy looking through the cookbooks that they carry- all of the latest and greatest titles!!The staff is super friendly as well! Taylor and Jessie are absolute gems and so welcoming! Upon meeting both ladies I had long conversations (lasting over an hour) with each and am now friends with both! They help make the atmosphere of the store so wonderful!Bonus- they always have a candle lit in the store that smells like a cozy home! I’m not doing a great job of describing it, but the scent evokes a feeling of homey-ness

Don’t know how you couldn’t love it here. Great selection, friendly staff, amazing atmosphere. One of my favorite bookstore in OKC!

Unimpressed. This is a bookstore with barely concealed religious leanings/bias. They have tables filled with religious books with a tiny fiction section (ironically selling Stephen King among the Christian books, which I found funny). One of the employees explained that if I saw more religious books it’s because the owners are religious. Suddenly, it all made sense. This person was not only dismissive, rude, and unprofessional, but obnoxious in their approach to any kind of customer service. Not a good experience. Not recommended. Go to Full Circle Bookstore instead. Bigger selection, far nicer people.

Such an adorable book store! After purchasing I realized I could’ve found better prices on Amazon, however I’d much rather support a small business. Get out there, buy a book from Commonplace, the vibe is awesome!

Commonplace is a community treasure. It’s more than bookstore, it’s a community gathering space. Hence the tag line “a common love for books and people.” I think of it as the best place to come across a title that I didn’t know I wanted to read next. They have curated some of the most popular tiles of the moment, but by & large they stock books that feed my mind, body & soul and challenge us to live at our fullest potential. Come hangout anytime. It’s a great spot to pop in on a date and explore titles together, or hangout here in between meetings in Midtown. It’s also a hit with out-of-town guests. They offer a great kids book selection. Every Saturday morning at 10:30 they have a story time for kids who they lovingly refer to as “Littles,” which I just adore. They have a fantastic cook book selection. Their titles are organized by subject titles like “naturalist,” “achiever,” “intentionalist,” “intellectual,” “historian,” “activist,” etcetera. If you are looking for a book they don’t have, most of the time they can order and get it for you pretty quickly- a lot of times in just a day or later that week. They often have book sales with books on a cart sitting outside for up to 30% off. Good deals can be found on that cart, let me tell ya. The bookstore is connected to the Kitchen at Commonplace which serves breakfast & lunch and they open most days of the week at 8am. Final thought: Their signature candle, Unhurried Wonder, is one of my favorite candles. It makes a great gift for just about anyone, especially your out-of-town guest(s) who found themselves swooning over their experience with Commonplace and are bummed they don’t have a Commonplace of their own at home. ——–Cheers, Team Commonplace! Thanks for such a welcoming-for-all gathering space in this great city of ours. See you soon!June 2019

In a city of no-places this bookstore is a place. Every time I come in I spend ~30 minutes just looking–the books are so well curated I always find something new and fascinating (I come in to wander–though on the rare occasion I’m looking for a specific book they usually have it). The children’s books are especially beautiful–routinely rotating ones I haven’t seen with beautiful illustrations so that I always end up with one or two for my two year old. Large spacious couches to read (and little toad stool pillows for my son to roll around). Truly excellent. Go here.

I have had really good experiences here! The bookstore part of the store is really peaceful and there’s a variety of books available. The staff (and dog!) are very friendly. As far as drinks go, the house hibiscus tea is flavorful without being too sweet. The only complaint I have is that the chai latte is very milky and could use more chai flavor.
Conor S. rated 5 stars on 1/27/2019
I was sooooooo happy to come here. Obviously, coffee is a must. So I was excited to have an expertly made americano. The staff was friendly and they got me my order pretty quick. The space is well appointed and comfortable. Then… I saw the pancake. I would go back and eat ten if I could. It was delicious. Rich and buttery, this thing was perfect. Highly recommend. Don’t forget to shop for books too. It’s well laid out. They have a great selection and the staff is so friendly and offers plenty of recommendations.

I truly feel like Commonplace is an exclusive club. I’ve never 100% felt like I belong and service is truly hit or miss but what they share on social media, their mission, and dedication to the love and support of authors and book stores must be shared and spoken about. Maybe that’s why I felt like I don’t 100% belong. I feel like I’m just now on a cusp of wanting to support local bookstores and not feeling guilty about buying it off Amazon. I feel like I can be a part of a culture and support system that can be so so huge. Service used to be amazing- like one-of-a-kind. Booksellers truly wanting to know what you’re shopping for, curious, wanting to learn about who you were. Now it’s more laid-back and I hardly get spoken to unless the owner is in the shop. I mean maybe that’s the vibe now, that’s fine, just not what I was used to. The space is cute- I’ve used it as a back drop for some photos during non-peak times, as to respect those shopping, and I’ve never had a problem. The family dinner nights are so interesting, and the cafe is super cute. So glad it was added on. The color scheme, book placement and decor is extremely throughout so when you purchase something you’re taking home a piece of the store- which I love. Overall, love Commonplace. Love the location, love the vibe, love the book offerings, love the local author support.

Commonplace Books may be my favorite place to be in Oklahoma City. When Commonplace first opened, I was very frustrated, because it didn’t fit my work schedule, so I could never go. Thankfully my schedule changed and I can shop at least once a month. Any more would be detrimental to my budget. First I love the ambiance, the bright open windows, the welcoming scent, the decor and the music is all part of my style. They have comfortable seating and all of the employees encourage to make yourself home, as you enjoy your selections. They are so incredibly welcoming as they offer you freshly brewed coffee and/or water as you enjoy their space. The last time I went, I had some time until my next engagement and it was pour rain. Personally, I was having a tough week. The staff was so incredibly kind to everyone who entered the door, which warms my heart, as you find this rare in other book stores around town. As I walked around, I did not know what it was I sought for my next reading adventure. I found two that spoke to me at the moment, same as the few times prior. I always find something new that speaks to me at the moment. Commonplace does a wonderful curating their selection of books. I cannot wait for them to open their cafe portion. Update to this review will come soon!

When Covid began in March, by body missed being able to practice at Free Spirit Yoga. I am so excited that Dee went back to her full schedule of classes – all on ZOOM!! I love it. I have been able to attend 6 to 7 classes a week, with her monthly unlimited class pass. I feel so much better. Even my dog, Marco loves it.

Dee’s studio is a true sanctuary and she is a true teacher and healer with an abundance of experience and training. I have only been attending yoga and guided meditation with her for a couple of months now, but it has been life changing already. I know, that sounds dramatic, but I have benefited from a reduction in anxiety and stress and an increase of peace and calm. My need for prescribed anti-anxiety medication has drastically declined. This is not a hardbody, competitive, Lululemon atmosphere. All are welcome, all are celebrated. It is spiritual and physical. All parts of our bodies and spirits working as one. I highly encourage anyone to give it a try. I get a lot from the Wednesday evening hatha yoga and Yoga Nidra meditation. I don’t think you can leave those two sessions and not feel at peace. Open minds and open hearts.

I practiced here after buying a voucher for here from Living Social and it was wonderful. The space is also the instructors loft apartment so it is very “homey.” Conveniently located just south of 63rd and Villa, Free Spirit Yoga Studio has been a hidden gem here in the city since it opened in 2000. Dee is the instructor and she shares a great experience for her students. I felt very comfortable here and it is a great space. She also provides mats and other exercise equipment to supplement the yoga.

I love Oklahoma Physical Therapy because of the one-on-one attention you get. After knee replacement surgery they helped me set reasonable goals and at the end provided at home follow up routines. I have been to other places you have to share your time with 2-3 other patients. They care about you and keep up with what’s going on.

Been coming here for a little while on and off. I think it’s about time to leave a review. Dr. Ben and staff are fabulous and ultra friendly and professional. I can only say this about dr.ben that he cares more about your health rather than making more money off of you. That’s a rarity in the health business. And that’s what makes me want to write a review for Oklahoma physical therapy of Choctaw. Not only is he excellent with his treatment standards but also gives tips on how to not visit him in the future. Now how many doctors can actually state that? It takes the time to give you the service that you used to expect from physicians when you were kids. Patient, loving, sincere, and a pleasure to visit. He has a vast amount of knowledge and more than willing to share his wisdom to bring you to better health. Also keep in mind that you do not need a physician referral to visit the physical therapist anymore. That little piece of information could have saved me countless amount of time and additional visits to doctors as well as co-payments for injuries that I felt we’re needing attention by a physical therapy office. Enjoy and happy health to those who visit this gem of a practice. New website is now optchoctaw.com, just FYI.

I have been going for 2 weeks now & she has really helped me.Morgan is the Admin Assistant, Front desk lady & she is very good at her job. She will return your phone call & try to schedule you as close as she can to the time you want. She will give you great customer service. Overall I would recommend 360 Physical Therapy. I got referred to this location to begin physical therapy for knee pains a couple of months ago. I couldn’t be more pleased with the staff and the progress I’ve made in such a short time. I can always count on Meagan and Mattilyn to put me through a rigorous training regiment twice a week to help get my knee back on track. They’ve always got my workouts planned ahead of time to help target the pains I’m experiencing. The facility is extremely clean, well maintained, and very cool on these hot summer days. Thanks for everything y’all do!

What happened? It was never painful before. I was active at least 3 times a week. I saw the commercials where they advertised it was painful for women. I thought it was for women who didn’t do it very often. Too tight and unfamiliar. But that wasn’t me I have been active most of my life and especially in my 50’s and 60’s. What? Turning 70 was the magic number of “ouch this really hurts?” I tried for several months in the beginning not saying anything to my partner, then it became really obvious, and was way to painful. That’s when it dawned on me, this is a medical condition. I need to talk to my doctor. Fortunately, I have a smart one, and she directed me to physical therapy. Wow, physical therapy for that most sensitive place in the female body. The interior of the pelvic floor. Deep tissue massage of the pelvic floor. Yes, it can get too tight in response to pain, and as with all muscle groups it can stay in a tight grip. I had no idea about that type of physical therapy. Never dawned on me, and what a wonderful thing to do while pregnant to help the pelvic floor to stretch for an easier delivery. And for those like me, that have back troubles caused by the misalignment of the sacrum, watch that puppy stay in place with less back aches, for easy standing and walking. Wow! Now I know and am sharing it with you. Thank goodness for Cornelson Physical Therapy, Pelvic Heath and Wellness. I can play again!

I would AVOID the Specialized Therapy side of this company AT ALL COSTS. (specializedpts.com) AT ALL COSTS. I was a client of Lisa (Melisa Stout-Herring) from 2017 – 2019 and now, after 4 years, she’s decided to try to ruin my credit by having a collection agency come after me for BOGUS charges. I’ve had No Contact from her since 2019 and I got a hit on my credit report FOR THE FIRST TIME in February of 2023. Lisa said we could “barter” for her services. She had me work in her office, help with her IT, do consulting work for a possible website and she wanted me to help her scrub all her reviews off websites because, as she told me, “someone who she used to have a relationship with was upset with her.” I’m wondering if that’s what she’s saying to someone now about my review. You might think I’m putting this review just because I owe her and I want her to get rid of my charges, but that’s not the case. I don’t want someone else to have Lisa work on them, or have them get “EXTRA” services for which they will then get collection agencies coming after them after 4 years of NO CONTACT.As for how Lisa was with the therapy, the fact that she’s trying to destroy my credit and my ability to get a job or any future housing or cars, reduces whatever good she might have done.

I got the pleasure of working with Kenni on my pt. Not only did she help me with my pain but I also learned so much about myself and my body. She made me feel so comfortable in an uncomfortable situation, but thr biggest thing was she helped me with a pain that left me in tears every month (I am going to assume here you know what time of month I am speaking of) When my session were over I was genuinely sad that I wasn’t going to see her every week. Not only did she help me with my problem but she also helped me with my mental state and helped me to understand how the two correlated. you are in good hands.

These people are great. I would have had to have surgery on my hand if it weren’ t for them. I went to them for about 3 months last fall for a issue with my hand. Now almost a year later I hardly have any pain. If there is some pain then I just do the exercises they had taught me and within a day or two the pain is gone.As soon as you walk in it’s like your in the Cheers Bar where everyone knows your name. Only this is physical therapy. You can’t find a group of nicer more caring people then those at Choctaw Physical Therapy.

When I needed Physical Therapy the folks there made my time as pleasant as possible. At Choctaw Physical Therapy you feel like a person not a number. And the results are amazing.

I recently visited HPC – Human Performance Centers – for physical therapy. I went to their Oklahoma City north location and noticed that they have 5 additional locations in Oklahoma. I was warmly greeted when I arrived and was taken back right on time. At HPC, they really take a team approach. My physical therapist was Kevin Taylor who worked on me for almost an hour. He took the time to carefully listen to me and then went through a thorough examination and proceeded with the treatment. The whole time he was working with me he was checking on results.I was also helped by a PT technician, Conner and an athletic trainer Heather, who helped me to become familiar with the exercises and how to do them correctly. I have had this issue for sometime and with the treatment and the exercises, I am 100% better. I really appreciated the cohesive approach and the time they took, but mostly, the outcome was outstanding.
