A long overdue THANK YOU and props to Heather Davis, who has me running again after myriad knee issues (which started as acute bursitis – we later learned I also had calcific tendinosis*). Heather’s guided me on multiple fronts: rehabbing & strengthening, correcting imbalances, and improving my posture & running form. In 6 months, I’ve progressed from not being able to run at all, to 18-20 mile training runs. Like another review, I was never able to be considered as a patient @ FYZICAL Grand Lake. It’s ashame, as I was impressed by the credentials of the owner and the therapists staff. BUT, as stated in another review NO ONE answers the phone, emails or web inquiries. On (2) of my calls, the VM system ‘cut off’ as I was 2/3 finished with my message. I think I was able to leave (1) FULL message without being cut off. I also sent a direct email to their email address. NONE of my inquiries were ever answered. I guess business is that good new patients don’t need to be considered. GOOD LUCK if you ever get a response or answer from this business. I went else where and connected with an office on my FIRST phone call!!!!

I started to do PT for my frozen shoulder at this location. They have been nothing but wonderful. I was always able to get an appointment when needed. You don’t have to stick to one physical therapist. You can see others as well, which makes it very convenient with scheduling. They took care of me and unfortunately due to insurance changes I am no longer able to continue care here. They do however take Medicare and United health care for anyone looking for PT services . I was diagnosed with TMJ disorder which caused pain in my jaw joint and related muscles. This was after going to the dentist, thinking it was a toothache requiring dental care. After seeing a dental specialist, I was referred to get physical therapy. I’ve been receiving pt for my jaw disorder at Fyzical Grand Lake for the past 5 months and treated by physical therapist Ryan Sandy. The care I received and treatment plan was extraordinary. Not only did Ryan explain every single technique and exercise, but he did so with professionalism, empathy and respect. The framework Fyzical operates with and applies is to treat the disorder, but more importantly to show me as the client, how to treat myself. Self-care by applying the proper exercises and understanding what these exercises can do was an eye opener. After various types of exercises (provided on line & printout) and discussions with Ryan, I learned to identify the triggers which would cause my jaw to hurt and avoided eating hard or difficult to eat foods. I wish our overall healthcare system approached providing quality care in the same way. I would highly recommend Fyzical Grand Lake to anyone wishing to receive treatment for PT. In addition, the office staff who would return my calls and/or assist me in scheduling appointments were the best. I learned so much from Ryan and have a deep appreciation for the role PTs play in our healthcare system. Forever grateful. Josie

My name is Emma Crawley I first visit Fyzical Grand Lake on June 13, 2022. I was in so much pain in the right side of my neck , arm right hand and fingers. I have arthritis. My Physical Therapist, name is Jaclyn Chen. Ms. Chen seriously worked on my right side of my neck, arm, hand and fingers. Oh my goodness I feel so much better. I visit my Physical therapist for 3 months and believe me it was all well worth it. I can sleep again not in pain and I’m not babysitting my right side and no medication at all. I was a patient at this facility until it changed its name to Fyzical. I was interested in coming back – and had my doctors call referrals in for me. I called to make appointments. I called again and again. After making a dozen calls and never getting a call back, I decided this is no longer the place for me. It was the most convenient location for me and I liked the therapists that worked there. But I guess they don’t need any business because I never got a call back. I called every week for three months and left my phone number and my message. They had referrals from at least two doctors. I am very disappointed. I thought they might be out of business, but they were open when I drove by.

I have been to a few different PT practices over the years, but never to one any better. The entire practice appears to be well-run, but my experience was with Alexandra who was excellent my shoulder tendon injury. I did several sessions before the quarantine, and some via tele-health after the shutdown (she clearly saw everything I was doing by video, and I would have no hesitation about on-line consultations). Alexandra quickly but methodically identified: (1) the location and limitations of my injury; (2) the structural weaknesses in my strength and flexibility that may have lead to the injury in the first place; and (3) developed progressive exercises to strengthen surrounding muscles to avoid placing stress on the injury as it heals, while also working on mobility improvements. It was clear that Alexandra was not just following a cookie-cutter therapy plan, but was adapting to my specific issues and progress. T&T (now Fyzical) is an excellent practice and Alexandra is an excellent therapist.

This review is 11 mos. overdue, but my sessions with DeeDee are seared in my mind. I was experiencing undiagnosed health problems and at the time DeeDee supported me much better than my primary care dr. She showed compassion, technical expertise, and the ability to work with a strong network. She introduced me to an experienced acupuncturist, chiropractor/master massage therapist, and even a pain management counselor. My autoimmune issues were finally diagnosed and I’m feeling great now, but still use the exercises DeeDee taught me. I recommend working with DeeDee – I just recommended her to my husband!

This was my first ever professional psychic reading so I was a little scared of what to expect. I was a tad skeptic, but also open minded. Without much detail, immediately Laura sensed what I needed to know in the moment. A lot of the things she mentioned actually wow-ed me and let me know she is the real deal. I feel like I came out of the session with so much clarity and confidence. Before I went in, I felt lost and doomed, afterwards I feel that everything will be ok. To be honest, I was hesitant at first to do this, as I was a little afraid of what I might hear. Laura soon put me at ease, even before we met virtually. She is very patient and understanding, and listens to what you have to say. This was my first time going to a professional to have my tarot read. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Having Laura read for me was a very pleasant surprise. I’ve always had really ambiguous feelings about divination, but Laura is genuinely intuitive and very insightful. She said and saw things about me that were shockingly specific (and accurate). It’s kind of a weird thing to mention, but one thing I really liked about her is how pragmatic and almost blunt at times she is. At some point she picked up one of my cards, explained it to me, and then said something like, “oh well, you could probably say that about anybody though, right?” and laughed, before explaining it in more context. Little things like that made it really easy to trust her, and to feel like she was being very transparent about what she saw, as opposed to just trying to present me with a pleasing narrative (which I feel like is fairly common for many divination practitioners).I left my reading with Laura feeling really vulnerable (but in a good way), very connected, and with an enhanced sense of clarity about where I am in my life currently, and what steps I need to take moving forward. If tarot is something you’re open to, I highly recommend getting a reading from Laura.

I know that you have had bad reviews before because when you asked me to give you a Yelp review, you had mentioned that you had gotten a bad review on Yelp before and that you asked all your “good” clients to post good reviews to counteract that person. That didn’t sit right with me at the time, but that isn’t why I gave a so-so review of you. I gave a review based on my experience. However, I didn’t forget that you had mentioned to me that you engaged in “review-quashing” before. Although I may have made a mistake on “Doctor F” there are still 5 other reviews posted within a week after mine. And, it seems a little odd that when I did a chronological sort, his review showed up as posted after mine. But even if it was posted in 2015, it is a little odd that there is no “bad” review from 2015 visible that he was responding to… guess that one was “removed.” I find this very disturbing. *********** 10/26/17 Update to my original review, below. My original was posted 8/10/17; happened to flip back through today, over 2 months later, and I noticed that after I posted this, suddenly she received SIX 5-star reviews within a week of mine, when she normally gets reviewed only occasionally. Soliciting 5 star reviews for the purpose of “counteracting” my not so great review is a violation of the terms and spirit of Yelp, and also indicates she is not as impeccable with her integrity as claimed, if she is engaging in review-quashing like this. It was more like a talk therapy session than a reading. Nothing wrong with talk therapy but it wasn’t what I came for nor what I wanted. The experience did more harm than good. I’ve had many tarot readings over the years, from a variety of readers. What strikes me as harmful is when someone offers their opinion as advice rather than getting clarification with additional cards. There is a difference between interpretation and giving personal opinions based on conversing with the client about their situation. Even if you try to dismiss the opinions later, they get into your subconscious as part of the reading. When the reader allows their own opinions or judgements into the reading, it is poor practice on the part of the reader.

Highly recommendedThe first thing that struck me is…Laura works with incredible speed. There was no guessing, or hesitation. She is very very clear and direct channel. Confident. Direct. Where to begin..? First off, she has the most incredible artwork on her IG (I think some are sneak peaks for an upcoming tarot deck she’s putting out?). Miriam does body work with energy work at the same time. She’s able to intuit what type of energy is affecting your physical body. For example, she might say something like “…there is fear and anxiety that’s causing your psoas muscle to be tight. Let’s try to release that fear energy.” Her sessions have always done amazing improvement for me. In addition to all of that expertise, Miriam has also created an entire new modality that joins Tarot, Astrology, Numerology, Yoga, and Polarity. I’ve worked with Miriam for several years, and then moved away and forgot about how good she is until last week.I’ve had lifelong, recurring issues regarding pain in my GI tract, which medical testing has not being able to provide any answers for. Yet when I’d present myself at the emergency room I’d be diaphoretic (sweating), in pain, and running a temperature from the pain…the whole deal. After her book launch I decided to return to see her for bodywork. Miriam took her time, combined a tarot reading into her body work on me, and I think we are making progress. Been dreaming up a storm, feeling some interesting movement in my abdomen, and generally feeling stronger and more clear. I’ll see her again next week as part of our ongoing series and I couldn’t be happier.

If there is such a thing as a healing touch, Miriam has definitely got it. I’ve seen a large number of different body workers over the years, but none as gentle, sensitive, and intuitive as Miriam. I’m an avid basketball player. I love the game and I’ve been playing since childhood. Unfortunately, while playing basketball, I a tore my MCL and then after a partial recovery I returned to play a little too early and I tore my ACL/Meniscus. It was a complete tear and my doctor recommended surgery. I was devastated.Thankfully I was referred to a great surgeon (Dr. Warren Strudwick) who performed very well for me. I needed 12 months of physical therapy to heal from the surgery. I chose to go to a therapist that was in-network for the first 6 months because I had to go so frequently. Once I was cleared to go monthly I decided to return to Dr. Emma (she helped me with the first MCL injury) I did so because in the past I have found that, although in-network is cheaper for me, the typical therapist provided unsatisfactory care for me. I’d see my therapist for the first 20 minutes to talk and get a knee massage, then he’d hand me off to one of his 3 assistants to go through the PT exercises. I didn’t like this approach. It didn’t feel personal. I felt like I was on a medical assembly line.Also, I’m very active but the pervious in network therapists seemed to be mostly concerned with only helping me regain mobility. Conversely, Dr. Emma from Pro+Kinetix was interested in helping me regain mobility and build up my strength so that I could return to playing and do so in a way that re-injury was less likely.Dr. Emma worked with me for the full hour each session. I can’t overstate how important this was for me. An ACL/Meniscus surgery is a major surgery and there is a big mental health component to the recovery process. I didn’t feel like my in-network therapist had the time to help me through some of those challenges but Dr. Emma did.She was very motivating, compassionate, knowledgeable, and understanding. She is an athlete and I think that helps her understand how to help fellow athletes get back to doing the things they love.I’d recommend her to anyone that has the ability to seek private care. If you do what she recommends you will be pleased with your recovery.I just had my last session with her and she (along with my surgeon) cleared me to return to play. I’m so thankful I found this place!

I don’t know why I waited so long! I thought that my knee and shoulder extension pain were just part of getting older. I was avoiding running, stairs were painful, and I felt like I was swimming with one arm. Trying to figure out what to strengthen on my own wasn’t working. After talking w/ my yoga teacher I realized that I could do something about it. I wanted to get back to running and surfing without wincing, Dr Lee opened up that door for me!Lydia is amazing, she helped me understand what parts of me were out of balance and uneven, then came up with a program to address it. The way that she setup my progression, coached me on the movements to build up stabilizing muscles felt like opening up a whole new awareness. Lydia taught me how to recognize signs of progress, and pushed me where I needed encouragement.Lydia is an incredibly talented PT and coach. I’m lucky to have her on my team. If you’re on the fence – know that it’s worth investing in yourself to get back to doing what you love. I’m so grateful to be active again surfing and running with confidence.

There are a ton of reviews here singing the praises of Pro+Kinetix’s physical therapists (and there should be!), but I want to make sure that their personal training side gets some love too. I first found out about P+K through a shoulder-rehab workshop at my old gym, and after my second rotator cuff injury in three years I finally wised up enough to try them for PT. That part, as everyone else has said, was incredible: over a number of months we were able to untangle a nasty web of longstanding interrelated shoulder issues and I regained most of the shoulder mobility I’d had before the injury.Being able to move is one thing, though, and getting strong through that range of movement is another. In January, I had my initial assessment with Cameron Lattanzio, Pro+Kinetix’s new medical trainer; he immediately sussed out that a lifetime of compensating for those aforementioned shoulder issues had left me with troublingly little stability or strength through my shoulders, and my overall balance and mobility weren’t so hot either. We started working together–first twice a week, then three times a week–and things started changing for the better, *fast*. I’ve worked with trainers and coaches, both solo and in small-studio environments, and Cam’s by far the best I’ve ever worked with. The fact that he was able to work with my physical therapist (who has since left P+K, sadly) and be aware of my injury history was a huge advantage, but it was also just the beginning. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of exercise variations across different aspects of strength training, from kettlebells to bodyweight to classic barbell compound lifts; not only does that let him keep the workouts fresh, but if a particular lift stalls out, he adjusts different variables to break through the plateau within a week or two. He’s got an eagle eye for form and alignment, and has helped me rebuild my movement pattern in countless lifts to be both stronger and safer. He knows exactly how hard to push with burnout sets and finishers to complement the heavy work we’re doing and help a longtime endurance-first person like me increase my work capacity drastically. He’s also just a solid, friendly, likable guy; I’ve seen him working with other clients across genders and generations, and can say without hesitation that he brings the same care, focus, and affable nature to every interaction he has. But none of that matters without results, and the fact that I’ve added 12-15 pounds of muscle since February–at 48 years old–tells me everything I need to know. When I started with Cam, I couldn’t dead hang from a bar without pain; now, I’m feeling more mobile and strong than I ever have–in the gym, on the yoga mat, and just in day-to-day life. If injuries or imbalances have ever held you back from the progress you’ve wanted to make, you couldn’t find a better trainer to help you overcome them.

Dr. Lydia has been amazing in treating my jumpers knee. She’s very thoughtful with the exercises she has me doing as well as how to progress and manage the pain. In the time that I’ve been seeing her, the pain has gone down exponentially and I’m back to the level of activity I was prior to the injury. TL;DR: Pro+Kinetix is a fantastic PT clinic, and Dr. Roland Jenkins is THE BEST best Physical Therapist I’ve worked with in my 25+ years of ongoing orthopedic issues. I started at Pro+Kinetix once Dr. Roland Jenkins, DPT joined the practice in March 2023, and cannot more highly recommend both. Pro+Kinetix is probably the eighth physical therapy practice, and Dr. Roland probably the 15th PT I’ve been a patient of, in the 26 years since I started having serious back & orthopedic problems. Suffice to say I’m a self-anointed expert at evaluating practices and physical therapists. The Pro+Kinetix approach, facility, equipment, and amenities are top notch. – Main differentiator is that your entire hour is one on one with an actual physical therapist. Even at other good PT clinics, at-best you have about 30 mins with the PT the rest is with assistants, and/or the PT has two patients at the same time. It’s an easy/quick walk from 19th St BART, or if you’re driving, they validate parking in the HIVE lot. My favorite amenity, is that there are nice shower & locker facilities available, so you can freshen up post-session.Now to the biggest differentiator, the actual physical therapists. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Roland Jenkins, on and off, for over four years now. He is nothing short of amazing. How amazing? Enough to follow him from his last practice in SF, that was in-network for my insurance, to this current practice that is out of network AND a bridge/BART ride away. Obviously even with great PPO insurance my visits come with a hefty co-pay/out of pocket expense, and it is worth every penny! ProTip: use your FSA to pay. Dr. Roland is extremely knowledgeable, and I credit him for keeping me healthy, mobile, and physically strong. He will not baby you, nor let you off the hook when you’re slacking. But if you follow the plan he’ll help you to be the healthiest and strongest you can be, and cheer you on along the way. He’s helped me rehab from a partially torn Achilles (on a foot that recently had reconstructed ankle tendons), tennis elbow, pre and post-cervical spinal fusion, and ongoing maintenance from a previous lumbar spinal fusion. Being hypermobile also contributes to the complexity of my laundry list of injuries/surgeries. Dr. Roland, specifically tailors exercises and routines to ensure I am not hurting myself, but still pushing myself. He’s simply the best.

I’m so glad I found ProKinetix on Yelp. The five star rating is no joke! I was in a depressing place with my ankle injury and not being able to run or hike like I enjoyed. My medical provider was only providing bandaid solutions so I looked elsewhere. I was connected to my PT Roland Jenkins and he was a gem to work with. I loved my personalized plan and being able to measure my progress pretty quickly within a month. Within 3 months, I was already running and hiking again and it was so healing to reach that place again after feeling like it wasn’t possible. Highly recommend checking them out for the best results!

I’ve been going to P+K for a couple of years — pre left knee replacement/recovery to pre right knee and recovery. I’ve also had help with tennis elbow and a bad hip/SI joint issue.I’ve seen three different PT. They have different styles, and each has been a great help at the various stages of my surgeries and recoveries. Easy booking. I like that they share space with Truve. It has a good vibe for wanting to feel and be healthy. My current PT, Lydia, is awesome. She is extremely knowledgeable about knees and has been supportive during the recovery stage. (I also loved Kelvin who left the practice to be closer to home.) I’ve been to two other practices in the area, one with success, but I would return to p+k in the future because they have a good track record with me. They’ve been helpful in guiding my practice, form, and routine. I feel like I better understand recovery and strengthening better. Scheduling is easy, and Maddy at the front desk is awesome.

I work with Dr. Angela at Pro+Kinetix, and she has made me into a stronger and more confident athlete! As a personal trainer, I rely on my body every day. When I started to feel nagging aches and twinges on the left side of my body, I knew I needed some expert guidance on how to resolve them. Dr. Angela is not only knowledgeable, she has helped me tremendously with improving my body awareness and understanding injury prevention for my own practice. She’s a great motivator and I get better after every session with her. On top of that, the administrative team is friendly and competent, and they really go above and beyond for all of their patients. When I first limped in to see Dr. Angela at Pro+Kinetix, I could barely walk or bear any weight on my right knee. I had stopped walking on the treadmill or even walking outside. Motrin and Tylenol helped a little but I was pretty miserable even sitting.After four sessions with her and doing the home exercises she prescribed, I am so much better! Pretty much back to normal. My knee pain is almost entirely gone and I am back to using the treadmill and doing daily dog walking. If this is not a miracle, it is pretty damn close! And I am very grateful!

The tl:dr version of this review is that Pam is the best and after several years of seeing her regularly, I have only positive things to say about my sessions with her. I regularly book reiki and clairvoyant readings as needed. I practice a visualization she taught me everyday. I was not surprised at all when she won “Best of Alameda” in 2016On my first visit to Pam several years ago, she had to explain to me what reiki actually was (I’d been given a gift certificate.) She was so articulate I thought, “let’s give it a go.” I’m so glad I did. After that first session, I noticed I felt lighter overall, easier in my body, and quieter in my mind. This was remarkable because I’d arrived on her doorstep in the teeth of menopause and nothing was helping–and I tried everything from supplements to yoga to cold showers multiple times a day. I was on the precipice of despair. The relief I experienced was so welcome that I quickly scheduled my next session.In that first year, she helped me find the mental clarity to finish a novel I’d started and supported me as I queried publishers. I was so happy to text her when the manuscript was accepted. It would never have been finished without her support.Fast forward several years and I now go to Pam for reiki a couple of times a month even though the hormonal storms of menopause are fewer and further between. I talk to her about my life–family, kids, work–wins and losses and fears. Especially fears. I recently got some scary health news. Pam helped me ground myself and we worked together to overcome the fear that was paralyzing me. She is a good person to think with. I value her counsel. Besides being a talented reiki master, she generously shares real wisdom with me every session–both about energy, but also she’s so down-to-earth and sensible. i make it a policy to not leave her office without booking our next appointment. I was tempted to leave a review right after my session, because I thought she was brilliant. But I wanted to wait and see if there were lasting effects. I can see a distinct line between my state of mind and physical well being before I saw her and afterward. I had the combo intuitive and Reiki healing session. I’ve seen Pam 2xs. Both experiences have left me supported and lifted. You can feel her energy of nurturing and caring for you and wants to help you as much as she can. Reading with her and she gave me so much insight to help me move forward with a situation that kept finding myself stuck. She even was okay to record the conversation so I can go back to this later. Reiki sessions have helped me keep high vibrations. She uses Young Living essentials oil (optional if you are sensitive), nice heat to keep you warm and great relaxing music in the background.

Ahh, where do I start and what is my “thesis” point here…? I think if I have to sum up the experience in one sentence (and later elaborate on that one point…) it would be that…going to Pam is like going to therapy but way way way more efficient. Pam can figure out in 3 minutes what some therapists may never figure out, and what a decent therapist may figure out in…6 months?What I mean is…I’ve been having this psychological knot that’s been making me feel stagnant. Some part of me was wanting so badly to be seen…but there was shame and doubt attached. Pam saw through that and is able to point at exactly where that knot is and go “aha! I see something there that you’re working on.” (Pam didn’t say “aha!” I’m putting my own words in here; but that’s the basic idea!)Pam is inspiring and I want to be more like her. I want to be able to see people as clearly as she does (as fast as she does, as well…that was really impressive) and I want to be able to help people the way she does. There were some *specific* things that she mentioned, and I wasn’t even sure during the session if those things were the case. So afterwards, my scientific brain went and looked to see if I could verify. (Needless to say, I did verify or else I wouldn’t be giving Pam a 5-star)I feel that Pam isn’t trying to “hook”, she’s genuinely helping. In therapy (and again, the best of therapists don’t even compare) I feel that they just try to get you to go back week after week…it’s like a doctor who hopes that you continue getting sick so they never run out of business. Pam is not doing that; she heals. Goethe said this amazing thing and I don’t know if I can translate it so elegantly into english…it’s basically like “What is meant to influence the heart must also come from the heart.”Pam’s intentions come from the heart and that’s why she’s such an effective healer. Since Pam did such a good job, I don’t feel like I’ll be going back in the near future but next time I need a tune-up, I’ll definitely be going back to Pam!! *Would recommend to anyone* :D**P.S.: I did a Skype session with her so yeah…distance is a non-issue! I booked a session after reading all of these great reviews, and after my session, I find myself coming to read these reviews again and feeling deeply confused by them. First off, let me say that I fully believe in psychics, mediums, intuitives, etc. I have seen a number that have been life-changing for me. Let me also say that Lisbeth seemed to be a nice person and that’s made hesitant to leave this review. But, in fully honestly, I walked away from our encounter feeling very underwhelmed. Typically, you know that psychics/mediums/intuitives are real because they tell you specific things that it would be impossible for them to know. I definitely did not get that during our session. Everything she told me was pretty generic and would apply to 90% of people– i.e. “you need to heal your inner-child,” “you need to de-stress,” etc. When she told me things about my upbringing/current life, it was often very incorrect. Sometimes it felt like she was just using context clues from the tidbits I had told her about myself, rephrasing them and telling them back to me as though it was an intuitive knowing. Typically I’m enthralled when I go to a reader, but during our session, after about 15 minutes I found myself wanting to leave but staying to be polite. Everyone has an off day, so perhaps I just met her on her off-day. I can’t speak to her general abilities, only to what I personally experienced. But I definitely walked away feeling like I just flushed my money down the drain. If you’re just looking for someone to provide a safe space for you to talk about your problems, this might be a good place for you. But if you’re looking for clear spiritual insight, based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this particular reader. But again, I allow for the possibility that I could have just seen her on an off-day.

All i can say is that Lizbeth is a God sent angel. I reached out to her during the time i needed the most guidance and direction and all i can say is that it was the best thing i could have done for me. I’ve booked her 1hr psychic reading over zoom. Overall, I’m really satisfied. I tipped her for going beyond my expectations. CONS:-Last minute scheduling changes might occur, so check your email/text/Yelp messages. -Payment for booking only pays for deposit with taxes, which is an additional 20$. You will be asked to pay the last half after the session is over, using Venmo/PayPal. (However, you can always opt to pay before/the beginning of the session so it doesn’t get too awkward at the end.) PROS:-She puts in a lot of energy and care to answer all possible questions during the session. Then ends the session with tarot reading.-She’s able to see my body, inside out. Talked about lifestyle adjustments that I needed to do to change my current energy. She felt energies of my physical body that was really accurate. -She described things that I never told her that were precise to my life-She thoroughly breaks down spiritual terms and concepts as if you were new to it. -She stops and pauses for follow up questions during the session.-She clearly tells you what would happen during the session.

Liz is amazing. She is the truth!!! All of my readings from her have been spot on accurate there is truly no stronger energy and intuition than hers. I’ve been going to SOL Montclair since mid-November for treatment of “frozen shoulder”. I’ve been working with Nick, and have been extremely pleased with the way that he is taking care of me. He is friendly and easy to work with, and is genuinely concerned about my progress. Since Japanese is my native language, he has even made the effort to learn some Japanese during our sessions, which is very sweet. It’s also a pleasure to be welcomed into the office each time by Gabe, who is friendly and efficient, and very helpful in arranging appointments. I would highly recommend SOL Montclair to anyone in need of physical therapy.

I was referred to SOL from my doctor for my “frozen shoulder” (Yes, it’s a thing.) As soon as I entered, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist Gabe, and heard lots of easy laughter and chitchat. James, a sweet, easy going therapist, gave me a thorough assessment, did soft tissue work, and instructed me with appropriate exercises. He and Raquel, a fun and charming therapist who has THE best hands for tissue work (my shoulder melts as soon as she touches!), have really helped me with the excruciating pain that I was experiencing. They also have such relaxed, friendly conversations with you during sessions, that I always find myself leaving with a smile. I have been going for about 3 months, and the shoulder is SO much better!

Nicholas Duenas gives me clear instructions verbally then provides easy to follow printed plans and notes; communicates clearly on why and how these treatments can be effective; and follow up with me at the office on my home treatments and the notes I share that I receive from my three orthopedic doctors (general, surgeon, & lumbar). I needed some care for a self inflicted back injury, and this place really helped me to recover in 6-8 weeks. Fun and friendly team at Montclair and easy to schedule and get to. Nicholas assessed my injury first, and we worked on a plan that included flexibility and strength, starting off simply then building confidence. As a patient of SOL PT in the past before the Montclair location opened, I already had a good opinion of the services they provided. But in early 2023 I went to the Montclair location (closer to my home) with significant pain from new neuromuscular injuries. James and Whitney worked closely with me to understand the physiological issues involved in my injuries and develop a plan of therapy to relieve the pain and build strength in the affected muscles needed for me to come back from those injuries. And Gabe, who manages scheduling and billing is a welcoming and refreshing breath of fresh air while dealing with some of the most annoying but necessary aspects of this business. Seeing JP Guzman (DPT) at SOL PT in Montclair has already made a big difference with my longterm knee issue. He is a careful listener, knows his stuff, and created an excellent ongoing treatment plan for me.The gym is clean, light, and well-organized, the staff is encouraging and non-judgmental. There are effective covid protocols in place. The office worked seamlessly with my medical provider and insurance company from Day 1. Holly was amazing!! I got my tarot reading and everything she was telling me about myself was spot on. I was letting her do most of the talking because I didn’t want to feed her any information and wanted to see if she was the real deal first. As she was doing my reading she knew EVERYTHING about myself that no one else knows. After my cards were all read she also asked me if there was anything else I needed or wanted to know which was very nice of her because some other places will just rush you out after the reading is done. I felt a big relief after our session and will definitely be coming back!

Just updating to echo another reviewer here, who said she was threatened by Holly to keep quiet about being scammed. She also threatened me to keep quiet about my story just like she did to the other reviewer. On top of that, she also threatened that if I didn’t trust her then I would be punished by my spirit guides. It was emotional abuse on top of scamming. This is evil on a level I’ve never experienced before. I’ve also gotten multiple messages from her other scam victims. DO NOT GO THERE.My Original Review:North Beach Psychic scammed $31300 from me (bank transaction and text msg proof available).1. She started by charging me a small fee ~ $50 for a reading, during which she made me feel very understood.2. After gaining my trust, she told me that I need “energy cleansing” & “in-depth” reading which costs $900.3. Then she proceeded to tell me complete lies about “a witch who cursed me”. And charged $12400 to remove the curse.4. It still wasn’t enough. So she fabricated another “spirit that possessed” me and charged $18000 to remove the spirit.The reason this review is up is that even if she were to contest this with Yelp, I have all the receipts available (texts, bank transactions, notorized agreements, video recordings). If she were to contest, it would only get her into formal legal proceedings.Just because someone can read you, does not mean they care about you. In fact, they can easily use their people-reading abilities to manipulate you for monetary gains.I highly recommend looking up “psychic scams” on Google. Apparently, they all use similar tactics – start with a small fee and gain your trust, then gradually upsell you.If you have romantic, career, financial, fertility, addiction or health issues, do you really think this would resolve it (“energy cleansing”, ridding of “spirits”, ridding of “curses”, buying big candles, big crystals, doing elaborate “rituals”)?If you are seeking healing, there are certified Reiki masters everywhere. Is she even certified? Did she go through any training for Reiki? Or is she simply “gifted”?If you want to buy crystals/candles, they are everywhere. Do you really think she can sell you a “special” crystal that has “unique healing properties” that you can’t get anywhere else?Healing is really up to us. It’s the day-to-day that culminates into rapid progress.

She scammed thousands from me and follows the model of psych scams. She sold an idea that made me think I was cursed and pressured me into paying her money by saying something bad would happen if I do not get the cleansing done. Was recommended by a close friend who has been to NBP decided to go in with no real expectations but honestly Holly blew me away I won’t get personal but I will say that my experience was so great and it totally changed my prospective on many levels. The shop is beautiful and inviting with a very positive vibe I really loved the decor and atmosphere. And it doesn’t stop there the location is super convenient and surrounded by beautiful shops and restaurants you can really spend the whole day exploring north beach and cap it all off with a reading I would highly recommend it any sceptic and will definitely refer others in my circle who may be into this. I highly recommend Holly to anyone looking for a reading in the area. My friend and I were just walking down the street and came across her shop. We both received psychic and palm readings for $50 each which I thought was incredibly reasonable. I went in with an open mind and heart. I didn’t tell her anything about me at first. She had revealed a lot to me that isn’t obvious just by looking at me. My friend who also received a reading was very pleased with the advice that Holly gave. I felt like she had a great energy and I’m very grateful that she took my friend and I in at the end of the night.

Shamalah makes you feel comfortable in each phone session right from the start! I’ve had two phone sessions with her (45 and 30 mins) and both times her insights really shined. My first call was focused on seeing if my loved ones who have passed are doing okay. She was able to read them, give insight into how they were doing, and see if they have any words of guidance for me. I understand that some people may not come through in readings (as she places a disclaimer when scheduling), but I’m so thankful that she was able to use her gifts to give me peace of mind.My second call was focused on my career. I found Rev. Shamalah-Allah on Yelp (“healers near me”, haha). She has great reviews and I was able to easily schedule an appointment on her (wonderful) website, just hours later. We had a 30 minute appointment, but it was chock-full of highly useful, direct, evidential and relevant information. I also felt some kind of transmission from her which jump started my motivation which had been severely lacking. She gave me clear advice and guidance, which I enacted immediately and which helped me “edit” my goals to gain focus and forward momentum. I also took care of some things I’d been avoiding and have felt more focused and less worried since. And, she has a great sense of humor; it was like talking with old friend who really knows you and can tell you what’s what in a loving way that is for your benefit. Second reading and she is fabulous. First reading was a mediumship about my mom who had passed. I was a little skeptical at first but she didn’t give me generalities she told me things I knew my mom would have said and asked. I was crying with joy doing our whole reading. I’m a believer! I’ve never gone to someone like Shamalah and was a bit skeptical, however, needed to explore some of the signs I was getting to see if they were just coincidental.Shamalah was able to produce uncanny details/knowledge from the person who had passed that I was looking to connect with.
