My elderly dad who had been previously seen at Hollywood Mem Outpatient West had the good fortune to try PT at this private practice. They accept his Medicare plan. The comments are “He always thinks of something new!” “It’s never boring”. His progress is remarkable! More strength than he’s had in a long time. Dedicated staff. The schedule always works. Sometimes small business is so much more pleasant, personal and efficient than large hospitals for the sick.

I torn my rotator cuff and have been attending Bredy physical therapy. Mr. Bredy is very professional and attentive. My shoulder is progressing nicely due to the work Mr. Bredy has put in with me. Mama Bessie’s Place has become my go-to spiritual shop when I’m in the Charlotte area. Located in a small strip mall, I’ve never had any trouble accessing free parking right out front of the store. When you walk inside, you are invited to draw a free daily affirmation from a bowl that sits by the door, which is always a nice, welcoming detail. The main reason I go to Mama Bessie’s is for the vast selection of herbs. Immediately to the right when you walk into the store, you’ll find an entire wall of various herbs in small plastic bags — all very reasonably priced. The variety is outstanding, and I’ve always been able to find what I’m looking for. In addition to herbs, there are tons of candles, incense, crystals, books…really a little bit of everything, along with an assortment of more unique items. The energy of the store, and the energy I get from the items I bring home with me are always positive. Truly a warm, welcoming, community-centered little haven. Worth stopping in, for sure.

A friend took me to Mama Bessie’s when I visited her in Charlotte and I’m so glad that she did! Almost anything you could want in a metaphysical store is here. From books, tarot cards, herbs, oils, incense, candles, crystals, jewelry, healing stones and more..there is so much to like about this store. The prices are reasonable and the selection is vast. The staff is helpful and resourceful. Lots of great gift ideas as well and so many things that peaked my interest! No matter if you are on a path for healing,have an interest in astrology or just curious, this store has something for everyone. Stop in…and take a friend!

Today was my first visit to Mama Bessie’s. There was a wide array of different products. I always enjoy looking around these types of stores and this was no exception. The energy of this place was very strong and almost overwhelming. I found several different stones i needed, as well as a Sun Wukong figurine. I know i didn’t need it but he’s one of my favorite literary characters. The prices were fair and competitive. I’ll definitely return.

This place was great all of the reviews are accurate, place has a wide variety and welcoming atmosphere.What was NOT welcoming was the Hispanic female at the cashier today who inaccurately judged me and I almost felt was prejudice towards me. She decided to look at me dead in my eyes and tell me that I was a “negative energy” and even made hand gestures at her throat and mimicking that I was someone who was “controlling and impatient” in life. (Made hand symbols like when youre mimicking a chit-chatter) had an expression of disgust on her face also. As if she smelled a foul odor. Totally inaccurate and was downright disrespectful. My friend and I couldn’t believe our ears! I can understand if she is just trying to make commission but that would still be the wrong way of going about it. I did politely ask her to bag each of my Stones individually, she may have thought I was being orderly?! I have no idea. I am a beginner and I was with a friend we were having such a nice time until HER negative energy came into play! I was in there very excited with all smiles and a wonderful energy about myself! It almost made me not want to return however I do know that the cashier will not affect my choice in returning to give more business to Mama Bessie. PS.I exchangened the stones that she touched to make sure I got new ones without her negative hands all over them LOL I will return 🙂

Man I totally love this place! I’m new to the metaphysical world and wow everything is so amazing right now. I came in to check it out and found some wonderful crystal bracelets for my friends. I really took my time and looked around at the cool books, candles, crystals, I could go on and on. The prices are hard to beat also. I really like the energy there. I’m not sure who cashed me out but she was amazing. I will def be back soon.

I took Lindsay D’s class and absolutely loved it! It was my first true Pilates class and the instructor was great – she even gave me a walk through before the class started. She was very motivational and also helped us adjust our resistance throughout the class. What I enjoyed about her the most is that she made everyone feel special. There was a mix of beginners and veterans of Pilates in our class and she made sure everyone felt comfortable with every movement – and helping when needed. Most of my workouts are high intensity so the change of pace was great for me! But don’t get me wrong – the class was a workout! I felt stronger than ever – working in slow movements and challenging myself with each stretch. Additionally Lindsay’s playlist was on point. We were able to relax and make this workout our OWN and focus on OUR strength. In addition, the studio was very charming. It’s got boutique vibes, but includes all the necessities like bathrooms, showers, a changing room and some swag to purchase. Overall I was very impressed with this studio and the instructor. I felt empowered and refreshed after my workout and I can’t wait to schedule another class!

I’ve been taking Pilates from Heather and IBP for nearly 15 years – she’s simply the best of the best! Her flows, cueing and strength from within messaging will instantly ground you. They’ll also make you long and lean if you continually show up for yourself. One of the best “blessings” from COVID is being able to take class virtually again. I’ve moved away from CLT and had been missing Heather’s calming voice as she makes your abs shake (she might be small but her workouts are mighty, don’t let her kind smile fool you!). Heather Obleada started Iron Butterfly with herself as the sole instructor 13 years ago, and with determination and a strong background in Dance and Pilates, she has grown her studio from a 1 room1 teacher situation into a gorgeous,multi leveled, numerous trained teachers situation that is Professional, Personal and Welcoming! Heather and her staff individualize a workout just for you in one on one situations or offer small or medium sized group classes, both using the Pilates machinery and the Mat formats. Heather and Kelly and Krissy are the 3 instructors I’ve been trained by, and each one makes me feel special. The first thing I’m asked each work out is “How is your body feeling today? Is there any need you want to address?” As a 63 year old client, I especially appreciate the kid glove treatment………( I have been a student of Iron Butterfly since turning 50, a birthday gift to myself! ) All ages, all sizes, all levels of abilities are welcome here! Young, old, male, female, thin, overweight, athletic or not………YOU will be valued and respected and set on YOUR true path at Iron Butterfly! It’s not a cookie cutter studio! If you are considering a Pilates experience, Run, don’t walk, to Iron Butterfly!

Love the team at Iron Butterfly! Had done very little pilates before discovering IBP and have appreciated the careful, positive, and motivating classes and 1:1 instruction. They take the time to teach you proper form and I’ve seen an incredible difference in my core, strength and flexibility. The studio is always a positive space and it’s clear everyone is passionate about delivering an exceptional experience to all regardless of level and ability. Thank you!

Working out is hard to do. I mean that literally and figuratively. That’s why when I find a studio/gym/trainer that I adore, I like to shout it from the rooftops. Iron Butterfly Pilates most certainly fits into the “adoration” category. Why? Let me break it down for you…The Studio: Is beautiful. Really lovely, frankly. IBP is in a converted loft (Atherton Lofts) and hosts different rooms for varying levels of pilates practice. There’s a reformer room both upstairs and downstairs, personal training area and a room for group mat classes. It’s full of light, zen like colors, gorgeous exposed brick and worn hardwoods. The Instruction/Classes: Pilates is tough, yo’. Thankfully there is a variety of classes to suit your athletic goals and style – ranging from physioball pilates (that’s what I tried – and I’m feeling it the day after) to traditional mat pilates to reformer classes to more cardio based programs. Heather, the owner and one of the instructors, is the perfect mix of cheerful and inspiring. She won’t let you get away with a half squat…just an FYI. Your first class is free and there are fairly priced packages thereafter. Even if you just want to try something new once or twice per month, Iron Butterfly has some fantastic options.

Abs of steel. I get it now I’ve taken pilates and yoga classes in the past but nothing really did it for me. Then I discovered Iron Butterfly (actually yelp discovered them for me) wow this was not the normal routine class I was use to. To me there is no better feeling then sore abs…this class really worked my core and I could tell. I should also mention that time flew by and we all know that is a good feeling when your working out. The studio is gorgous tucked away in the atherton mill lofts. Natural light beams down on you as you stretch and flex and burn calories. The instructor was wonderful…I get pretty intimidated in workout classes in general but especially when its something I’ve never done before. The instructors at Iron Butterfly make you feel very comfortable I highly recommend checking them out if your a newbie to the pilates world like I am. I know there were some seasoned pilates students in the room but everyone moved at their own pace and I left feeling very relaxed. I can’t wait to return and try some of the other classes they offer.

I had heard of Iron Butterfly Pilates for quite a while and today I was able to visit for the first time. I am really impressed. Being a Pilates novice, I enjoyed learning what it was all about. What sets Iron Butterfly apart is their hands on philosophy – no gigantic groups here. You can book a private session with an instructor or join in a group session – four maximum. Another great feature is there is a physical therapist on staff as well who can work with you on the Pilates equipment and help “cure your ills.” In addition, Moga Yoga shares the space with Iron Butterfly so you have many options from which to choose.If you are in the market for a Pilates studio, definitely visit Iron Butterfly. Their studio, located in a wonderful Southend textile mill building, is sparkling clean, with interesting decor and lots of natural light. The staff is very upbeat and welcoming.

I love love love this studio and being a Breathe client!! I am so very grateful to have found this space. It is overflowing with love and energy. Jonathan and the Breathe boys always make you feel welcome and at home. Breathwork was completely new to me. As I went through the practice my whole body was tingling with energy. Your breath is such an amazing tool for stress relief and inner peace. It may sound simple, but it is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. I HIGHLY recommend taking some sessions, whether it’s Mentoring, Massage or Breathwork, I promise you will not be disappointed. You feel the magic as soon as you step inside the studio and you deserve to feel nothing but magic!

I received three months of his life coaching. I knew after two sessions that he was not the life coach for me. But he refused to let me leave my contract. His coaching with me felt more spiritual oriented and very general. He seemed to focus only on one part of who I am and never answered my questions. not really. In the end, I left with more debt, more self-loathing, self-doubt, and less of an idea of where I should be going. I’m more lost than ever which has led to feeling more anxious about my future.Johnathon might be the life coach for those that need help with meditation, finding their center, relaxation, and being okay with themselves, letting themselves do something different. However, I was after structure and direction. Having too many passions and too little discipline. After discussing with him what it was that I wanted once I realized he wasn’t meeting my expectations. He said himself that type of coaching wasn’t what he did but he’d try. He wouldn’t let me leave because I already signed the contract. I was trapped. It’s been a few months since we finally ended our sessions together and I still continue to feel less like myself. I hate the way I let my insecurities be manipulated by this man. I hoped after we talked in our last session he’d change the way he marketed himself so someone else like me wouldn’t get hurt. He didn’t. And that’s why I decided to finally write this review.

Jonathan is one of the best massage therapists I have ever encountered. He is very attentive and receptive to the stressed out muscles I have from sitting in front of a computer all day. He always asks about my physical condition and if there are any specific points that need more work than others. His touch can range from gentle to very deep as he is massaging you in response to his hands sizing up where you need the most work and his fingers, arms and elbows exercising out your stressed areas. HIs studio is a very tranquil, meditative environment that when combined with his expert touch usually takes me right to my bliss zone melting away all my stress.

Breathe Massage & Breathworks is an amazing place! Jonathan makes you feel warm and welcome as soon as you step foot in his studio. Jonathan’s massage techniques are amazing and relaxing and better than any 5 star resort and spa could ever offer. Another unique experience provided by Jonathan is his Soulful Breathwork class. This class is like nothing you have ever done. I have gone several times and I get more and more out of the class each time I go. I cannot say enough about Jonathan and his studio!!

We have been seeing Lauren for Occupational Therapy for my 3-year-old daughter for about six months. We have seen huge improvements in her confidence, motor skills, and willingness to try new things. Carolina Pediatric Therapy is truly a caring, supportive environment and, most importantly, my daughter LOVES it and just thinks she’s there to play! I highly recommend the clinic for any pediatric therapy needs.

There aren’t enough words to express how amazing it’s been for our daughter to experience PT through Carolina Pediatric Therapy! Our therapist, Chandi, is amazing! We always look forward to Thursday’s when she comes to the house because this new mama always learns something new from Chandi to help her daughter grow to the next level of development! Devin is hands down the best OT out there. I have two boys with autism and have been through tons of therapists, but no OT has even come close to Devin. We have seen tremendous progress since she began working with my son. She’s firm and makes the kids work hard, but at the same time she’s super fun, loving, and nurturing.
