Sirry is the Best of the Best. She is a phenomenal teacher. I have taken a few classes with Sirry and also had the privilege in participating in her group meditation and mediumship practice. WOW!!The power of her presence as a teacher and mentor expands your consciousness and truly brings you to another level. As a teacher, Sirry is dedicated, kind, generous, tuned in! and so knowledgeable. She brings out the very best in you and her classes are fun and fascinating. I felt my own abilities opening and growing stronger just being in her class and it felt so natural. That’s what it’s like to be in the presence of a true medium and a true teacher. You will be inspired and filled with love working with Sirry !Sirry is a gifted and natural born medium. I feel so lucky to have found her in the Boston area. I always feel like I am in the presence of someone from a different realm when I am in Sirry’s class. I have taken a few mediumship classes in my life with famous mediums but nothing compares to the way Sirry imparts her wisdom and guides you. She IS a rare Gem and the real deal. I highly recommend Sirry’s services.

The session I had yesterday was fantastic. She was so open to what they were saying and showing her and many things were spot on. Highly recommended

I would give Sirry ten stars if I could! She is absolutely amazing!! I had an awesome reading with her yesterday and she was right on point with specific and detailed information from my loved ones that had passed. She is warm and caring and makes you feel very comfortable throughout the session. Yesterday’s reading was very healing for me. She is the best of the best!!I’m grateful for her beautiful gift of mediumship and how it has touched my life. It’s always a treat to have a session with Sirry?

Second reading with Sirry as she was so spot-on the first time. Great way to celebrate my loved one’s birthday–so good to know he’s with me with information provided that nobody else knows. A healing experience. I have tried multiple mediums, and I have found the person my loved one obviously likes the best!

I see the world and life differently now. I can’t believe the effect of Sirry sharing her energy, that guides her to read me; has had on me today. My brain is wired different today. Sirry spoke to me from a different plane, that I now know REALLY exists. She spoke of personal family matters, that were impossible for her to know. She advised me on personal issues that I needed to hear, and that I knew were issues, that were in my way.Her communication with my mother was other worldly and shocking.I am still astounded and honored to have learned of that unfamiliar spiritual realm that she visits. I had never imagined the communication with spirit to be as real, as I did today. During and after my meeting with her; I was astonished that a human can possess such powerful energy. It’s been a short time since we last spoke, and her words are resonating precisely, with my current reality. It’s not a coincidence. I am changed today, and I feel as if I am at peace, almost as if I saw the light too. But I’m alive and grateful . Thank you Sirry.

Very special experience with sirry. She is definitely grifted and takes so much time to carefully interpret what she’s being shown/hearing for you from you passed loved ones.

Most people read the reviews of Mediums to verify their authenticity. After two sessions with Sirry, (spread out over several years) I can confirm that her gift is authentic. Most importantly, she uses it with integrity. I’m sensitive to people’s energy (vibe), and when I spoke with Sirry, I felt as though I entered a sacred space. She’s connected to the light, and I recommend her services.
Annette J. rated 5 stars on 6/24/2022
Highly recommend! Sirry is so kind and gifted as a medium as well as intuitive life coach. My fiancé and I both felt more at peace after our time with Sirry. We plan on booking another session in the near future.
Lucille F. rated 5 stars on 11/2/2022
I’ve had readings with Sirry before, she is very insightful, perceptive, and very compassionate. I’ve been going through a very difficult situation regarding the suspicious death of a family member, Sirry’s readings have helped me shed light on the situation and continue pursuing and perservering.
John G. rated 5 stars on 6/15/2021
I’ll preface this by saying that I am not skeptical or mediums and the after life. But I am skeptical of potential scams. As you can see by the 5 star review, Sirry was no scam. I booked a session for my mom as a Mother’s Day present. I know she has been into mediums in the past, and also recently needed the guidance to get over some things in the past. Sirry was able to record the session and it has been great to look back on even 24 hours later. The clarity the my mother and I got from our session was incredible and totally eye opening. I’ll even say life changing. The peace of mind, and closure my mother was able to receive was a burden off her chest and soul she won’t have to carry anymore. The questions I had, that I didn’t even physically ask Sirry were answered and confirmed. I would 100% recommend Sirry to anyone looking for a medium that knows what they are doing.

I had a wonderful healing session with Miriam today. It was a great space, and our exchange of healing energy was rejuvenating.Miriam has a warm and confident manner, and I felt as though I was with someone who was a natural healer. I relaxed into our session, and was given some excellent guidance in terms of accessing healing energy when I felt the need on my own.I highly recommend meeting with Miriam. Thank you for sharing your gift of healing, Miriam!!

Miriam has done multiple energy healings for me and everytime I’ve felt better physically and emotionally. Also, more in touch with who I am on a spiritual level. Her readings and healings always soothe me during tough times. In some of these healings I noticed our visions aligned, and I felt physical sensations that also aligned to her visions, which is really amazing. She also trained me in Reiki which has been an eye-opening experience for me. I’m going through a bad breakup right now and being able to perform reiki on myself has really aided in my healing.Miriam is a kind-hearted soul. I only go to intuitives and healers that I can truly trust. She is down to earth, and the only energy healer I go to now. I love how connected she is with certain realms and her readings are always a gifted trip.
T M. rated 2 stars on 7/5/2020
Miriam was warm and friendly and listened to my mysterious health issues attentively. However I didn’t find any real relief or improvement in my symptoms after our session. Also, some of the visions she saw didn’t seem relevant to me or correct based on my history. I appreciate Miriam and respect her work, but for $300 I was hoping for more.
Bird G. rated 5 stars on 4/6/2016
To put it concisely, Miriam pretty much rocked my world. She has done several readings for me, and the most in-depth one cleared up so many oddities and unusual behaviors that had come upon me in recent years that I could not previously make sense of. What was especially amazing about her work was that she followed up with me and did residual clearing, which was, to me, what distinguished her from other energy healers I have worked with in the past. Her interest was my well-being, and her efforts and amazing explanations of the work she was doing gave me ways to understand the transitions I underwent as a result. It was AWESOME. I’ve recommended her to friends around the country, and everyone has had equally positive experiences. I feel so fortunate to be a recipient of her talents and passion for her work.

I have attended several of Ross’ workshops and had a few private readings with him as well. Each class and reading has been an unbelievably gratifying experience! I have never met anyone who can help a person achieve so much in one private session or class – he can heal karma from past lives that are hindering someone in their current life, he can help one meet their Spirit Guide and he can also give a person a reading of what is going to happen in their current life and how one can help achieve their goals.Ross is a kind, empathetic soul. He cares about the people he helps and he loves what he does. The depth and breadth of his knowledge is amazing. He can help interpret dreams as well. The reason he can do all this is because he is continuing to learn and work on himself so he can help others. I have never met anyone who can do so much to help people. Every time I leave his office or classroom, I walk away with powerful epiphanies and experiences

I originally gave this individual a unacceptable rating, but he has since refunded a portion of my money. I guess I only want to say that you should always trust your instincts before going to anyone for help. For anyone he was able to help, I am happy for you.

I went and saw him right before the pandemic. I mean, I didn’t know there was going to be a pandemic just yet it was that time in January when we were all kind of had the flu. Anyway I had been to a Reiki person who suggested that my issues were deeper than this life. So I went to him for past life regression. I’ve always had a horrible, beyond terrified reaction to snakes my entire life and there are reasons from my childhood but I also had had some weird dreams as a child about snakes. Anyway, I went to see if there was something in my past lives. He told me about a past life experience in which I had had I’ve been a slave in Syria and had gone against the rules. I knew what the consequences and the punishments were but I did it anyway. (He also talked about me being a rebellious person in many lives- afraid to stand up but doing so anyway to help others. I didn’t tell him but that rings very true from my childhood.) So I was thrown into a snake pit. And I died. The thing that makes me think all this is very real is that before we even got to the details my body was involuntarily twitching. Before we really even got talking about the details I would twitch my leg, my arm … it was really creepy … it was like I was really remembering but in a safer, protected way. I still am afraid of snakes but a month ago I was able to sleep at my cousin’s house where she has four pet snakes (fortunately locked up in cages.) I was, of course in a completely different room and never went into that room. But the fact that I was even able to be inside her house with a big big step for me.The only reason I give four stars instead of five is I agree he does talk really fast and has kind of an unusual tone and of course it is memorized- it’s like a preacher “this is my body is broken for you” type thing he says it over and over so it loses its natural tone. But I think he’s the real deal and it was helpful. I’ll also address a couple of the reviews that talked about ” trust your instinct.” Definitely do! 100%!! But here’s the thing: the day I went I had a really weird feeling. The best way to describe it is “resistance.” I actually mentioned it to him. Now, this could be him. But he said the spirits or whatever the gunk that is attached to you kind of knows that you’re going to go get it removed and it doesn’t want you to. That makes sense to me. And afterwards I felt so much better and lighter. I felt like the difference between a gray rainy day when bad things are in the news and a beautiful sunny day when you haven’t seen any news. It really made a difference to me.

I first saw the ad in one of those newspaper advertisements they give away for free at Whole Foods. It looked like a great ad. I called to make an appointment as I was going thru a hard time in my life and wanted some guidance. I should have trusted my instincts. The way that he speaks is definitely rehearsed because he says it over and over again. Also when he is telling you something he has said over and over again, his tone changes like he is annoyed. I chalked it up to “hey we all have to repeat ourselves in our jobs everyday, no big deal” Boy was I wrong. He called the day before to confirm the appointment, and to make sure I had my credit card with me before we started. The appointment was 1 hour for $175, and for $400 and another 2 hours he could heal me and my past lives. The appointment started off with the past lives- It was like make believe. I also had to wait while he wrote it all down. Anyone could have made up that I used to be a shoe maker with throat problems, and that’s why I clear my throat in this life often. Again, the story of me being a shoe maker sounded like he was reading it from an index card he pulled from a pile. I asked about relationship issues, health, career, etc, and then stopped asking questions, as it was just a waste of time. I could have gotten a better reading from a homeless man off the street. Hopefully people reading this review will CANCEL their appointment with him, and find someone else that is an actual psychic, or at least isn’t annoyed with people while talking to them. Please please please go see someone else.
Starri L. rated 1 stars on 5/17/2017
There’s something off about a “healer” who only uses his gift to help those who can afford overpriced rates without offering a sliding scale. My experience felt rushed. He barely made eye contact. My first time meeting him, he handed me a flier ad of more things to purchase from him and left me to sit with it in the hallway while he went in his office with the door closed. He tried to talk me into spending over $400 on my very first visit over the phone when all I requested is Reiki. My appointment wound up costing me $175 and still, no Reiki. His treatment was him speaking quickly for his microphone, asking me to repeat things occasionally, standing up and sitting down… The whole thing felt contrived and there was zero physical healing. You could say for that amount of money I could’ve gotten two 1 hr. Reiki sessions by my old healer (whom is the real deal plus has never pressured me about money).I have been to really good psychics/energy healers in the past, whose presence makes me feel nothing but love but I just did not get that from him. Sorry, if I’m to be honest that’s the truth. Maybe he is gifted but he just is not humble or compassionate enough for my taste. I’m not sure.Side Note: I’m just going to remind people to please trust your instincts. Intuition is truly your best barometer in these situations. Recognize red flags and trust your gut. There are amazingly loving, EFFECTIVE, energy healers! Please spend wisely and don’t give up from one wasted experience.

I’ve had the pleasure and privilege of attending several personal Psychic and Past Life Regression Consultations with Ross. I’ve also participated in a number of his well-attended Introductory and Advanced Psychic as well as Dream Analysis Workshops. In addition, I have done Past Life Regressions and Aura and Chakra Healing Sessions. While over the years, I have met assorted psychics and mediums with various talents and specialties, I remain a loyal fan and have always been impressed by the depth and breadth of Ross’s knowledge and healing abilities. I’ve also always found Ross sympathetic and sensitive to any issues or challenges I was dealing with, offering helpful, meaningful and practical techniques to help me move forward on my path. Needless to say, I am exceedingly comfortable and happy to recommend Ross Miller to friends and family seeking answers to everyday challenges and wanting physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing.

This is my first time posting a yelp review and I normally wouldn’t have even bothered but there are things I need to say about this man. I saw Ross about 5 months ago and what he said haunts me to this day. When I was young, I was sexually abused by my step father and when I asked Ross why this had happened to me, he told me it was because I was in a sexual relationship with my step father in a previous life so that’s why he is attracted to me in this one. Ross J Miller not only put sick thoughts into my head but it seemed as though he used that statement as an excuse for a grown man to touch a little girl. Not only that but I spent half a day with Ross and have received more from spending only a half hour with a psychic I see regularly that I trust. Ross told me stories about past lives I lived that anyone could have made up and what makes me trust him even less is that he knew nothing about me when I walked in. I answered more questions for him than he answered for me. $400. What a WASTE.
Amanda T. rated 5 stars on 7/17/2018
When you book your session with Ross, enter it prepared to learn rather than expecting a quick fix or a specific outcome. The basis for his work is that the soul goes through several lifetimes and he helps you explore those lives and how their events or ending may be impacting your current life. He provides past life regressions help release fears or connections from those lifetimes in the present. The best example to give is that after suffering from a phobia of mascots – even as an adult – he released a past life fear that relieved it. Prior to visiting Ross, even the sight of a mascot at 100 yards away would send me fleeing. In the weeks after his session, I was able to stay in the company of a mascot at a sporting event. Months later, I could stand arm-in-arm with an M&M mascot in times square.I give a more light-hearted example from his work because it showcases how his healing produces profound effects. Each time it gets stronger and stronger. While it may seem silly to fear a mascot, it’s embarrassing if you’re at a corporate event and need to flee from a fear as a result of murder in a past-life. He has since released many other fears or given into insight into present relationships that were so close upon meeting they also had past life connections. Without Ross’ work, I would not be as emotionally secure or successful as I am today.
Alex C. rated 5 stars on 7/18/2017
Over the past 3 years I’ve had a number of office sessions with Ross. They’ve all been extremely helpful. Ross has always been professional, respectful, and honest. Unlike many other psychics who tell their clients things they want to hear just to appease them, or simply tell them things they already know, Ross will actually identify and release your karma and your negative, limiting beliefs that block you from getting what you want in life. In fact, during a healing session, you’ll actually feel the blocks and aches and pains releasing from your body. Ross has helped me with several health issues, as well as family, job and relationship issues. I’m truly grateful for his help.

Olga is the best physical therapist in Boston. Her wealth of knowledge about the body and her determination to get to the source of your pain are unparalleled in her profession. This woman is never not working – when it came to my personal treatment, I know she spent many personal, non-billable hours researching on her own. Her work and business is the passion that fuels her, sunup to sundown – there is no one you would rather have by your side as you rehabilitate. I personally enjoy my time with Olga, not only because of her successful treatment of me, but because she is such an inspiring individual – she emigrated to the United States as a young woman, learned English, and put herself through school – no small feat with a second language to boot! Olga is energetic, driven, kind and absolutely unwavering in her excellent standard of care for her patients. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend.

The best physical therapy I’ve ever got. Olga is an amazing specialist with a personalized approach to every patient. I came to her with a whiplash neck problem after a car accident. After 2 months of intensive physical therapy I’m feeling much better, the pain is gone and my neck functionality is fully back. BTW, Olga’s massages are amazing. I would highly recommend this place for a physical therapy!

I came to Wellness Rehab Center following a car accident with severe back and neck pain. I am a frequent gym goer and I was so sad/ scared that I wouldn’t be able to workout again because of my injuries. I put my healing in the hands of Olga and I couldn’t be happier to say that I am 100% pain and injury free after a short 8 weeks. After each session I saw progress. Tracy and Olga both dedicated themselves to my recovery and for that I am forever grateful. This business earned its 5 stars from me and (although I hope I never have to) I would go back for treatment without question. Highly recommend.

I was at Boston Sports Medicine for a frozen shoulder. The scheduling and general service were straightforward and easy. The physical therapy was thoughtful and careful. (I had Caroline Stone, who was great.)

I’m sure the actual PT is great but the process to understand cost is far from it. I asked in person and over the phone. Both could not confirm what I would pay for an initial consultation until the consultation was complete. I simply asked for the price with the insurance I have for a first time visit/consultation. They refused to confirm. I will go elsewhere.

After going to a couple of Physical Therapy places for my injury, I am so happy that I found Boston Sports Medicine in Watertown. My Physical Therapist is Andrew Provost who is fantastic although all of the staff seem great as well. They are very thorough, kind and incredibly knowledgeable – I can confidently say that I’m under the best care that I’ve been in since when my injury occurred more than 2 years ago. They also keep it fun with a ton of trivia and other games from time to time which help makes the time go by. Another plus is that this location is inside a gym so there are many options, but even the actual office itself has decent amount of equipment. Highly recommend coming here if you’re in search for a Physical Therapist!

BSM actually changed my life. After my second pregnancy, my diastasis recti was pretty bad, 2.5-3 finger separation at 6 months pp. I saw a physical therapist at HVMA who told me it was completely normal, and to come back in a year if it was still so bad. I almost gave up, but a friend strongly encouraged me to try again to find someone who could help. That’s when I went to BSM and found my kick ass (and sweet and lovely and smart) physical therapist Kimberly Breslin and I AM A PT CONVERT. I went to one eval and 8 follow-up sessions and now, at 9 months post-partum, I’m down to a 1-finger separation.. my back feels awesome, my core feels awesome, and last week my mom asked if I was wearing spanx (I wasn’t). She is awesome, please go see her. Thank you, Kim.

I had a great experience working with Abbie to rehab my shoulder injury. Was referred by my girlfriend who also had a very positive experience rehabbing her ankle. She took the time to explain the process in terms a lay person could understand. She also made the sometimes painful sessions something we both looked forward to. I’d recommend Abbie and BSM to anyone who needs PT.

I went here for physical therapy for my knee. My therapist Abigail Jamula was nice, professional, and (best of all) very helpful. After 8 or so sessions of leg strengthening and stretching exercises, my knee was largely improved. The BSM facility was a little small, but clean and effective. The office didn’t try to book me for sessions I didn’t need, and my insurance covered a large portion of the cost.

I started coming here about 6 months ago for a tendonitis issue. They took such great care of me with this first issue that when I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis I knew that I had to give them a shot to help with this issue as well. My trust in them was not misplaced. Over the past 3 months I’ve had remarkable improvement with a problem that I thought was going to stay with me forever. Between the stretching regimen that I started doing to the massaging of the plantar fascia, I’ve gone from barely being able to stand on my foot in the morning to being able to walk for hours without an issue. Ive really felt that the people here actually care about my heath and arent just there for a paycheck. Which has helped me feel much more positively about fixing this condition. I finally have seen the light at this end of this painful tunnel and I have them to thank for it.

My experience at Boston Sports Medicine in Watertown was my first ever physical therapy. I was impressed with the entire operation: from initial assessment of my shoulder through my last appointment. The team is experienced, professional, and conscientious in building personalized treatment plans. Joe, Chelsea, and Dan were terrific in bringing me back to healthy. I heartily recommend BSM in Watertown!

I started going here after being told I had crazy tendonitis. Though it took a bit longer than I was hoping (due to a slip in snow), it was a great place. Very friendly team and very knowledgeable. The space is on the smaller side, but since they have the gym there….they can expand out as needed. My only complaint is that I didn’t get the Wifi password.

Chelsea is the best physical therapist my girlfriend and I could have been paired with! After she ruptured her Achilles tendon in a sports-related injury, Chelsea and the team at Boston Sports Medicine made her immediately feel welcome. When I broke my fibula playing rugby less than two months later, I knew exactly where to go when I could walk again. Chelsea scheduled us to have our PT sessions together–which was extremely convenient–and even had us doing exercises together and pushing each other! Despite the increasingly challenging exercises, we always looked forward to going to PT because of the relationship Chelsea built with us. The whole team works to create a warm and fun atmosphere that makes the pain of recovering from an injury far less unpleasant.

Is there music played during the classes?
Sometimes, but not always! When there is music playing it’s not usually that loud or noticeable because Gwen talks over it during class.

Quick background – I’ve been attending Gwen’s classes for about 2 years. I just now read through the reviews on this page and was sad to see that a few folks had a negative experience. In my time taking her classes, it’s been really wonderful and I admit there have been ups and downs. And looking back, the “downs” were really just ME growing up and maturing in my own yoga and in my own body, NOT a reflection on Gwen or on the studio. So obviously I’ve stuck around, and my goodness I’m glad I have! Okay, let’s get to the details. This is going to be a long review, so, hopefully it helps you.THE STUDIOI moved to the area from Indiana, and wanted to find a studio to call home. I am very much not into “hot” or “power” or whatever the cool kids are doing these days. I am more interested in breath, keeping my body safe, and coming to a better understanding of my own self and the bigger picture. Needless to say I can skim over a studio’s website pretty quickly and have a good idea of whether it’s right for me. Shiva Shakti caught my eye. It’s been an absolute joy getting to know Gwen and the folks at the studio – it took me some time to open up to the community of the studio, and in reality I think Gwen knew I needed the time to ease in. I don’t know everyone’s name but for the most part we recognize each other, chat before/after class, develop friendships here and there, it’s whatever you make of it! And there’s just so much good that can come from it. As for Luna (the studio pup!) she’s a GEM. She may walk back and forth at the beginning of class but she is very well trained and she generally sleeps outside the actual studio space for the bulk of a class. You’ll see a little dog hair around but, uh, she’s a dog. lol. Gwen keeps the studio clean, cozy, and in great shape. Also, the parking garage is like $0.50 – 1. Super convenient.GWEN/THE YOGAAs for the yoga itself (that’s why you’re here right?!) well, what can I say… it’s lovely. First off, I was not a beginner when I found Gwen. I had been doing yoga for about 8 years off and on already, so I’m not equipped to give a “beginners point of view.” Gwen tailors each and every class to the individuals that walk into the studio for that specific session. I mean, it’s really amazing. That means EVERY class is different. Depending on what her practitioners need, the class might be super restorative and healing, or we might sweat for the entire 75/90 minutes! It’s not set in stone, which I love. Gwen does an incredible amount of research when she’s not teaching (which, I mean, she teaches a lot as it is, so it’s always awesome to me when she brings something new in – I’m like ‘when did you find this?!’ anyway), so she always has new and interesting techniques, styles, props, you name it. Long story short, it does NOT get boring at this studio. That being said, if you prefer a very structured, same-type-of-class-each-day thing, maybe this wouldn’t be the best thing for you — BUT if you think you fall into that bucket, I would strongly strongly encourage you to still give it a shot. Gwen is awesome. If you give her a chance to get to know you and your body, she will enable you to find out some amazing things about yourself; physically, mentally, the whole shebang. If YOU open your heart and mind to something new, Gwen will meet you right there with tools that you can use to grow in so many ways.GWEN/TEACHING STYLEGwen’s teaching style is also unique. Once you get to know her and how she tends to lead a class, you get into the rhythm and it becomes very natural. But I will say that it may not be considered a traditional teaching approach – she walks around the room a lot, sometimes she ‘demos’ the poses but sometimes she just calls them out (in sanskrit/english/explanations instead of asana names, its a huge variety) and it’s not always consistent! To me, that’s awesome, because it keeps me paying attention to what she’s saying (she talks the whole time and just rains down inspiration and real-talk-no-bulls**t it’s great). The fact that you may have to keep a keen ear to catch the next instruction means you also won’t miss the amazing things she has to say about you, her, humanity, this world, all that jazz – it’s really really special. Now, evidently some people don’t like this, they want ‘consistency,’ they want ‘structure,’ they don’t want their yoga teacher to walk around the room (is that really an issue for some people?), but I would say – lightly – to each her/his own. I would also say – a bit more strongly – again, just be open. See what it’s all about. You might end up finding something amazing in your heart that you didn’t know was there. Lastly, never have I (or anyone I’ve talked to at the studio) been made to feel that I, in my body, in my yoga, am not good enough. The whole point is YOU AS YOU finding what is/is not right for your body on any given day. It’s not a competition and there’s no ‘right’ shape – seriously. Come join us, for you!!

In the beginning of 2021, I decided to walk-in to Shiva Shakti to join the classes, and I think it’s been the best decision I’ve made so far this year. Gwen is so dedicated, attentive, positive, and with sense of humor during the class to always make us smile and enjoy the class. The group is super friendly and motivated!I have personally improved physically and mentally. I feel more capable, confident, and strong. Yoga has given me the strength to believe in myself and pursue my goals. So fortunate that my anxiety has reduced so much when I learned how to breathe better and release tensions during classes. This is a very short description to say how grateful I am to be part of the Shiva Shakti, and I highly recommend Gwen and her classes to everyone.

I just had my first class at this studio. Usually I do hot yoga in Watertown, but was looking for more of a relaxing class tonight. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Gwen, she’s very welcoming and the studio is beautiful. I felt very calm in there the entire time, which says a lot for this place. I’ve been to a few studio’s that feel so uptight and clicky I just wanted to turn around and leave, but not here. During the class we used foam rollers the whole time. Which was a great change of pace. Since I stand all day for work, it felt amazing to roll my entire body around on it. Gwen was very sweet and caring to the people taking her class. Helping if they had a sore spot or a problem area. I’ll definitely be back! So glad I went.

What a great find! I went to the restorative/Yin yoga classes that were fantastic. Gwen has a unique way of presenting some wonderful stretches and creates a warm atmosphere for everyone. It was great to attend a truly diverse yoga class without judgements. Sadly I’m just visiting, but would try the pilates and other classes if I could!

Here’s the short version: Gwen and Shiva Shakti Yoga Center are great. Gwen’s teaching is inspired and the community that she builds in her classes is something that sets this yoga studio apart from others. Go and take a class and see for yourself – you will be so glad that you did! Here’s the detail if you’re interested in hearing more: The Shiva Shakti Yoga Center is a stone’s throw away from Waltham Common (so lot’s of bus access and close to the commuter rail), there’s 2 hour street parking right on Main and if that’s full, there’s a garage across the street (fifty cents to park). The studio is bright and open and there’s always a welcoming vibe there. Gwen’s teaching style is really unique – she caters to all ability levels, taking time to break down complicated poses for beginners while still challenging the most experienced in the group. She’s uplifting and manages to tailor the classes to the needs of the students in the room. Her class feels personal – she tries to help each person, all the while encouraging her students to do more and go further. The student’s are kind and are very open – they make you feel part of the group right from the start. Gwen is a natural at cultivating the community.Gwen has a dog (“Luna”) who hangs out in the studio. Luna is super friendly and a great presence in class – she has a way of keeping things light during class. When Luna is not there, she’s missed! Finally – I came to Shiva Shakti Yoga Center totally wound up and stressed, looking for some way to get more centered and, frankly, highly skeptical of yoga and all of the related mumbo jumbo. After 20 or so classes, I’ve done a complete 180 and I have found much more than what I was originally looking for. I’m more centered. More calm. I really enjoy practicing yoga and have found a kind, empathetic and experienced teacher in Gwen. If I could give this place six stars, I would.

I have never practiced yoga before and didn’t know exactly what to expect. I had a sense that it would be relaxing and challenging, but i never expected that both could come in a complete and whole package. In the beginners class, our instructor took us through wide range of stretches which included one stretch where we worked with a partner. In several of these positions, I felt my body and muscles move in ways I never have before. We were instructed to “bring our body to a new area or dimension” with each class. Basically – to teach and enable our bodies to move safely in a way they have never moved before.I was so impressed with how easily our instructor was able to explain what we should do and how to enable us to go further. Sure, there were a few times where I was lost but I had imagined that this is what my entire first class would be like. It was such a pleasant surprise to find what I was capable of doing and what I never knew I could! The atmosphere is slow paced and relaxing, at some points of the stretches I could have fallen asleep while at other points my whole body would shake to maintain the pose! I can honestly say that my body had a great workout. This workout was nothing like the cardio that I am used to, but my muscles feel like it could have been!

Judith is phenomenal. I’ve been to her on two separate occasions, leaving each time with a greater sense of awareness and connection to myself. She accurately described someone I would later begin to date, including details of their appearance, disposition, and how we would meet. Judith provided me with practical guidance and ideas for how to overcome some challenges with family situations, career growth, and myself. I’m a veteran of sorts with readings of all kinds, but none have been delivered with such clarity, accuracy, and practical insight. Judith can tap into the messages you need to hear, but delivers them all in a fashion that is comfortable and empowering. You will leave feeling so deeply connected to yourself and your purpose, fully knowing you’re supported on the journeys ahead. I recommend her to everyone. She’s truly the best!

I have known Judith for almost 30 years. She is a gifted psychic and astrologer and a caring confidant who stays in touch with her clients. She ‘saw’ my husband and was able to describe him to me before I even met him. Also, she successfully predicted the timing of my children being born. She’s really gifted. Also, she is able to pick up on nuances and shares those with you, she gives ideas about what to look for and what to look out for. I give her my highest recommendation!

I’ve been so pleased with Mara’s studio and her associates–I’ve worked out here for about 3 years. I’m stronger and more flexible than ever! Mara is very careful about my creaky back, yet gives me challenging and a variety of workouts. Yes, the studio is small, but it is carefully designed. I never have trouble focusing on my workout. And I like there’s plenty of free parking behind her building, and that Mara reminds me about each session the day before we’re to meet.Highly recommended!

Studio offers both in-studio and virtual sessions as of 10/6/2020. I really missed the reformer and the Gyrotonic pulley tower. I’m so glad I can be in her studio again. Mara put a lot of effort to reorganize the studio to make sure everyone is safe. All fellow students were really respectful.

Mara is a Pilates and Gyrotonics teacher that extracts the best quality of movement and muscle development out of her students. I like her quirky habits and analogies. Most importantly, she is passionate and knowledgeable about what she does and a good balance between corrections and compliments/ encouragement. The way she conducts a lesson is effective and gets me to concentrate/ focus. She is a great mentor as well; I think this is partially because of her background of Masters in Education.

Mara is a terrific Pilates instructor. Her ability to focus on an individual’s issues, even in a group class, makes her classes extremely valuable to me. Even just a small “tweak” in a position or movement can often make all the difference. I have been taking classes with Mara since 2010 and she has helped me tremendously with my posture, core conditioning, and overall health. I worked with Lubo on a knee problem for over nine months and was very impressed with his knowledge, skills and encouragement. I didn’t know if I’d get back to normal but with his patient coaching, am playing tennis again, and as well as before. I’d recommend him and Marathon highly to anyone in need of physical therapy!

Super disappointed. An intern student paired with an uninterested physical therapist makes for a horrible experience. As others have noted, the interns/students have absolutely 0 knowledge (not their fault, they are learning) but when the initial assessment is done by a college student who evaluates the wrong side (right shoulder instead of left) and the trained PT sits disinterested, you lose all confidence in the treatment algorithm. Also, appointment started 15 mins late and ended 20 early. Will not be returning. If you are interested in real therapy, not a factory who simply prints out a sheet of generic excersises without any thought, look elsewhere.

I have been a patient since last spring at the Newton office and have been amazed at how well run this place is. Kathy is an incredible physical therapist. She has helped me understand complex issues and given me the ability to increase every day movement. I also feel that thirty minutes of pt and then thirty minutes with an exercise specialist is great. Having the ability to have an exercise specialist go through all your exercises with you and make corrections as needed is an added benefit. I highly recommend Kathy L and Marathon Physical Therapy!!!!

Mike T. at Marathon Physical Therapy is excellent. He is very skilled, thorough, professional, and approachable. I’ve made amazing progress on a shoulder injury that was complicated by the fact that I had a previous injury to the same shoulder. I did not have as skilled a therapist for my previous injury, and that recovery took much, much longer (and was never really properly rehabbed). Mike has been completely supportive of my goals for recovery, which include returning to competitive rowing and lifting heavy boats over my head, which I’m now able to do, thanks to his help. It’s a drive for me to get to Marathon Physical Therapy, but it is absolutely worth it. I know from sad experience that not all PTs are equally effective, and getting to one as good as Mike is worth the investment of my time. The entire staff is friendly, dedicated, and professional. I don’t have experience with the other PTs, but have heard great things about them too. I highly, highly recommend Marathon Physical Therapy.

I was referred to Marathon by a friend who had a very positive experience there. I had high hopes that I would get excellent care there, especially after seeing all of the positive notes on the wall in the waiting area.Unfortunately, I feel that the care I received here was so sub-par that it was negligent. I came to Marathon seeking help with a back injury. The initial consultation was encouraging. After the first couple of visits, they started having me work exclusively with college students who were doing internships there. While they were all very nice, they clearly were not trained. With little or no direction from an actual physical therapist, these students were supposed to run through all of the exercises I’d been doing at home each week between appointments. They were given a sheet listing which exercises I was supposed to do and how many reps, none of them even knew the exercises! Had I felt like these people were competent enough to evaluate my progress and check my form, and had a trained professional checked in with me each session, I would not have minded.Pairing people with untrained interns is not okay, especially when you are charging them the same amount for every session.I continued going to appointments for as long as my heath insurance would cover it, hoping for some relief. I’m really disappointed that I waisted my time here instead of using my insurance coverage at a place where I would have received expert care consistently. Disappointing.

No need to read anymore reviews folks. you’ve found your place to get PT. I tore the labrum in my left shoulder at some point in my life being awesome. After 10 years of random Dislocations, (Highlights include: Making Fun of Tony Romo, Kickboxing, Flag football, lifting weights, and sneezing) i decided to get a bankart repair (i highly recommend Dr. Desio at St Vincent’s in Worcester). Anyway, about a week post surgery, i started going to see Brett Hutchinson over at marathon, and they took care of me. I can’t thank Brett and the rest of the staff and assistants at Marathon enough. My recovery time was very rapid, but not forced. Brett worked with me and my body to make sure that i wasn’t moving too fast or slow. He was also very helpful in suggesting non-PT excercies that i could partake in while i was held back due to my injury. I will definitely be returning if i have any PT related needs.

I’ve been here for 2 rounds of treatment for bulging discs in my neck and tight trap muscles. Once last year and once this year. I understand that it will be a lifelong issue due to the condition, however have found relief at Marathon PT. Haley and Emily Bliss have been fantastic with needling and manual treatment. I’ve also had a fantastic experience with all of the PT assistants. Everyone is so friendly and I look forward to my appointments! The first time I came to PT I could barely move I was in so much pain. Haley recommended needling treatment with a combination of manual (massage) treatment and regular exercises, which has decreased my pain to a very manageable state.

I was referred to Marathon Physical Therapy for neck spasms and severe pain. I went to about eight sessions at Marathon Physical Therapy and felt it was a complete waste of time and money. The physical therapy basically consisted on an unenthusiastic young 20-something telling me briefly to do an exercise, and then she would walk away or just start chatting with the other therapists, instead of focusing on making sure I was actually doing the exercise right or seeing how I reacted to the exercises. My therapist frequently complained she was tired, which made me feel uncomfortable, as if I was encumbering her by showing up for my appointment. Overall the 3 therapists I worked with here seem to be working from a cookie-cutter approach, instead of tailoring the therapy to your specific needs and injury, and adjusting exercises accordingly, they literally just read straight from a piece of paper and did very little overseeing of the exercises, let alone helping me make any meaningful correction or adjustments. Only twice did the therapist ever actually massage my neck or take a deeper look at my neck muscles and neck movement/limitations, which I think would’ve helped her understand that the exercises I was doing were not benefitting me at all and often times were hurting me. The positive reviews here are confusing and surprising to me – perhaps I just wasn’t Marathon Physical Therapy’s ideal clientele (marathon runners?). My impression from my time here is that this place is a physical therapy mill/cash cow – they get you in and out ASAP and make their money. I felt no genuine interest from my therapist in my (non-existent) progress whatsoever. I would’ve been better served googling exercises and submitting questions to online message boards. PS – my first consultation appointment here was BY far the most attention and care I received. After the consult, it was a steep slope downwards. Perhaps that’s there business model… bait and switch.

I’ve had great results from my therapy here. Chris is terrific at diagnosis and getting me on a home exercise program that shows results in weeks. He’s got a great attitude and inspires permanent improvement. I’ve used their services twice and was referred by my wife who was equally happy with them. They are consistently professional, effective and pleasant.

Clean, friendly office. Chris has been really instrumental in helping me get back on my feet post surgery. Not usually crowded and doesn’t feel like a factory where you are a nameless face like many of these other PT shops. Only knock on this place is parking can be a little tricky as the lot can fill up at busier times. It isn’t terrible but I have had to park on street on occasion and with a foot injury, the longer walk isn’t my fave.

I could barely walk on my first visit ….My condition is about 90% better than when I started with them. I am very happy with the results

I have only good things to say about these folks. It’s a small operation. 1500 sq ft and 5 people. My experience was with Tyler and Leah. Both absolutely Grade-A. Leah has the best massages, Tyler is the more theoretically knowledgeable. They all work together. My wrist and elbow were just plain on strike, it had been 7 months with a couple other attempts (ibuprofen, naproxin, a “follow this diagram” instructress, all to zero effect. It was either PT or The Knife, I wanted to try the PT. 14 weeks later, all is peachy keen. Love them!

Great results so far working with Tyler and Leah on a strain in my knee post marathon. The strengthening program is correcting issues I’ve had for 15+ years! The office is really clean and low-key, and is so easy to work with clearing insurance etc.

I’m currently getting PT here for a rotator cuff injury. This isn’t a plush, luxurious clinic – it’s comfortable, clean and they play really nice music. What’s outstanding about this place is that in addition to being extremely competent the therapists, trainers and receptionists are incredibly warm, friendly & caring. I feel very fortunate to have landed here through a referral. I’m pretty convinced the positive atmosphere contributes to the healing that takes place here.
