Sissy is an incredibly knowledgeable instructor and Shanti Yoga is a very relaxing, clean and beautiful space. Being a first time student, the check in process was incredibly easy and I was able to find the studio through the mind body app. I highly recommend this studio and Sissy’s class to anyone of any level looking for a challenging yet authentic experience.

In town for vaycay and my yidea of a good time is to take yoga classes from other teachers. I didn’t want to cut in on family time so i was looking for an early class. This joint has 6am-ers and they worked like a charm. Dawn runs a fun, challanging vinyasa class. I’m from the Philadelphia area so it was interesting noticing the differences in South Carolina- yoga included. It’s muggy in SC. Even though the 6am class is not a hot yoga class, bring a towel. Muggy air outside = hella muggy down dogs.My favorite part about taking yoga classes in the South is that people linger after class. I’m usually the very last person to leave back home because I use every prop known to man. But here? People do the same- they put their stuff away, chit chat and then hang around some more. Nice little place.

When I travel I love to seek out a local yoga studio. Shanti yoga studio was only a mile from where my family was staying. As a bonus, the 6am class allowed me an hour long Vinyasa Practice while my family slept. This is an absolutely beautiful studio! Everything from the colors, to the lighting, to the layout is perfection. It’s one of the only yoga studios I’ve practiced in where every yogi has wall space available to him/her. Wonderful! Dawn, the owner and instructor of the Vinyasa classes I attended, is fantastic! She’s a focused instructor, gives great cues and offers plenty of modifications. She’s a natural. The yogis here seem to know each other and even greet one another with hugs. (WHAT? dc yogi’s take note!!!!). The regulars are very welcoming of new faces. At each of the classes I attended, at least one person took the time to introduce themselves and chat before or after class. If I lived in myrtle beach, I would be devoted 100% to this studio! I can’t wait to come back! Ps. I’m a Virginian so I am familiar with humidity but wow, my first class in SC was a wake up call! Bring a towel, a water bottle and a headband for sure! (and I didn’t even take the hot vinyasa class!)

Took the 9:30 am vinyasa this morning. I failed to introduce myself or catch the teachers name but it was with Dawn, I believe. It was amazing. Great pace. Great price. Perfect class size. Space is intimate and well equipped for all your yoga propping needs. I was even given a welcome tour by the teacher. This was no less than exactly what I needed! Thank you and I will be back.

Perfect spot to get your yoga on while vacationing. Don’t judge a book by its cover. Although its located in an abandoned strip mall, the inside is super zen and cozy. The owner is so sweet and very informative. Get there early, the place fills up fast.

Dawn is an incredibly knowledgable and caring instructor. She adjusted my poses several times throughout class and offered multiple variations for the diverse levels of students. The next time I’m in town I’ll be returning to this studio. Thank you.

Had a wonderful class! Definitely some advanced practitioners– I’m not a newb but I was still a little intimidated. Instructor did a great job of offering options for all levels. Hot class was warm, not uncomfortable. Highly recommend!

We are visiting the area from Denver, Colorado and looking for a place to practice. We decided to try Shanti based on all of the excellent online reviews and it was amazing! It’s everything you would expect from a true yoga class and more. Dawn was a terrific teacher! Thank you for helping us feel like a million bucks today.

Great place to experience yoga as more than an ‘exercise’ class. The instructors have trained under Dharma Mittra which is fantastic for teaching one about meditation, letting the ego go and embracing who you are right now. Will definitely return on my next trip to Myrtle Beach.

My first time talking to Mary today. She was awesome. She even set up time when she was off to do our first session. I would definitely recommend. I have been to Couseling before but she is far Top on my list. She knows what she is talking about and just in the 20 minutes Mary said more than I’ve heard in hours of sessions with others. I look forward in working with her.

I’ve had a few readings from Mary and she is always spot on! She uses her intuition to help develop a plan for going forward with your personal spiritual journey. She knew exactly how I felt about my situation and helped me understand how the issues could be resolved. She knew things that happened to me when I was younger. She also has a great personality and honestly cares about the welfare of her clients.

About That Reiki Girl
Hello and welcomed to my Yelp page. I am a Reiki Master and can provide a technique to help aid in stress reduction for not just you but your pets. I am trained in both human and animal Reiki. I would love to share with you a holistic and non-evasive approach to healing the body as a whole.
History: Reiki is rooted in the philosophy that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If our life energy is low, then we are more likely to feel stress or get sick, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. A Reiki practitioner can channel positive, healing energy into the client by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient’s body and restore physical and emotional well-being. Benefits of Reiki The most common benefits include: • reduction in stress • a sense of overall emotional and spiritual well-being • feeling more relaxed • enhanced sense of calm and balance What to expect . . . During a Reiki session, the client is fully clothed and reclining or lying in a comfortable position. The session usually lasts between 46 and 60 minutes. Your Reiki practitioner will place their hands on or slightly above your body in order to have their Reiki energy flow to you.

Christie was super professional and explained the process well beforehand. She took her time and really made me a believer in the power of reiki. This was my first session so I have no real point of reference. However I do know I left feeling lighter, zero back pain, and a peacefulness I didn’t have beforehand. I definitely recommend her and would visit her again.

I’ve known about this ability for years but never knew many possess the power. I felt fortunate to have met Christie, That Reiki Girl, through a friend. Christie is a well educated woman possessing an ability to improve health and quality of life by offering Reiki energy and restoring balance. She educated me a little to the world of Reiki. She did a session for my dog, Tinky, and myself. She explained what she would do, we would possibly feel and experience. My dog gravitated to her and was very peaceful during her session. I could tell Tinky was getting something out of this besides attention and another belly rub. Chrisite physically detected problems in me in three areas, upper abdomen/chest, right knee and right shoulder which she found required more healing time. She was 100% correct. A day later I did noticed the stiffness and soreness in my shoulder was gone. I had occasional minor discomfort in my knee and noticed that was diminished. During the session I felt heat emanating from her hand as well as a sensation coming from within the area she worked on which ceased once she removed her hand. Tinky appears to be doing well but she does have a torn acl in her left hind leg so we have to expect some continued problems there. She also has a partially collapsed trachea and over past few days it appears to have improved. I sent photos of Tinky so Christie could do a remote session before hand. I’m looking forward to more sessions with Christie, That Reiki Girl Tinky wants to see her again too. Healing takes time but Reiki can aid your own immune system to be balanced and do it’s job. In time our systems due to illness, injury and just aging get out of sync. A session with That Reiki Girl Will again align your systems. Here is a link to a article to explain a little about Reiki. Take 3 minutes to read it. health.clevelandclinic.o…

Christie was wonderful with all 5 of out pets. We are blessed with Koda, our white husky, Bella our yorkie and Chanel, our Shitzu Maltese. She actually came to visit Bella who has bloody stool and a nervous stomach. Christie was so talented. She actually was able to preform remote Reiki and connect with Bella before she ever got to our home. Once she was here, all of the dogs and even our 2 shy rescued cats came out of hiding. Everyone wanted their turn with her warm magic touch. Bella’s health has improved dramatically since her visit with The Reiki Girl. I do not hesitate in highly recommending her. All of the pets are so much calmer and in tuned with each other. The cats are not hiding as much and are seeking our affection since her visit. So sorry to ramble but so much goodness that I don’t want to forget anything. Give Christie a call, you won’t be sorry she certainly has a gift!

This facility came highly recommended by a physician who was not the referring physician. I enjoyed and benefited greatly from the 6 wks., 2x per wk., that I received physical therapy for a total left knee replacement. Alicia Valenzo, PT DPT, oversaw my PT program and the majority of manual manipulation and therapy exercises. Alicia was extremely knowledgeable and professional as was the assisting staff, notably Josh. I highly recommend this great facility and the employees there.

Two Blondes and a Moon Child Boho Village is a shop that I found on a fortunate whim…in large part due to not being able to find them on Yelp. The physical sign on the outside of the shop simply says “Boho”, but the full name of the shop is Two Blondes and a Moon Child Boho Village. The woman working at the shop the day I stopped in said that the sign was shortened to make it more affordable (completely understandable)….but I wanted to open up my review with that clarification in case any other Yelp-dependent types of customers were confused as to what kind of shop “Boho” was. Now. That being said. I’m really heartbroken that I didn’t discover this place earlier because I’m completely in love. It’s in a great, easily-accessible location with plenty of free parking. Right off of 17, directly behind the Starbucks, right across the street from Gator Hole Plaza (the one with the NMB Walmart). The shop’s inventory is almost completely comprised of items created by local artisans and venders. Unlike other types of shops along the cost, I was blown away at the variety of items, the quality, and the affordability. I’ve visited similar shops in the Outer Banks, Carolina Beach, Southport, Wilmington, Charleston, Myrtle Beach proper, etc…and while many of them have beautiful pieces, they are over-the-top pricy, even by local artist standards, and seem to be incredibly marked up to better profit from the tourists. That is not the case at Two Blondes and a Moon Child. Although this would be an amazing spot for anyone visiting from out of town to find unique finds to take home with them…it’s also a spot that NMB locals can frequent and enjoy. Although it wasn’t listed as one of the Yelp categories, this is also very much a spiritual shop…so much so that I actually put in a request to update the categories in an effort to help more customers find this space, as there’s not really anything else like it in the NMB area specifically. There are so many pieces with pagen/earthy/witchy energy. Although it’s not a store that solely specializes in this and is eclectic, there is a decent collection of crystals, incense, candles, spells jars, tarot cards, jewelry, and lots of other elements that could be worked into a practice. I was very excited that this is also a community space with a decent number of events that go on. Apparently everything is updated on the store’s Facebook page, and there are often events such as tarot readings, sound bathing, resin and candle making classes, fairy hair offerings, reiki, and a weekly Wednesday mediumship circle. I truly hope that the Yelp business name and category can be updated soon so this gorgeous local establishment can connect with its ideal customer base and keep going. Such a lovely and unique space that I know others will love as much as I do.

I was actually on my way to get coffee at a Starbucks and saw this store. I decided to go in and it was a really wonderful experience. The store represents many local artists and it has a bright and cheery vibe. One of the owners, Miranda, took me around the store and showed me all that she had on hand. She was really friendly, and it was really wonderful. They had the usual, handmade, soaps, and jewelry, but they also had some really unique and reasonably priced articles of clothing and art there were many many unique items in there. Sadly, I didn’t have enough money to buy them all! Lol I am just visiting this area but if I am back in the neighborhood again, I will definitely pay the store visit.

This is a busy office where some compare it to an assembly line but I say whatever works… They are very organized. You walk off the elevator directly into the registration area. There are usually 2-3 people checking patients in. My husband was able to get an emergency visit the day after I called to schedule. When we arrived we did not have to wait long to see the doctor and did not feel rushed when talking him. We were treated respectfully and I was also impressed at the staffs response when my husband was ready to pass out from the pain he was in. Three attendants immediately came in and got him lying down and out of danger from falling or getting hurt. I was also here with my mom for pre and post op hip surgery for both hips. The doctor actually called me to discuss her care when we called the office with a concern. I highly recommend this team of specialists.

I was so happy to be referred to OrthoSC and Cheryl Henson, MSPAS, ATC, PA-C at the NMB location! From the time I walked in the door, nervous and unknowing, I was immediately met with a smile and welcomed in. The process was seamless. I was handed gently from one teammate to the other, only after I was walked through the who I would be handed off to and what to expect. The nurse who “triaged” me was very thorough as we walked through my ER visit, when and how my issues started as well as my medical history, meds, etc. When the PA, Cheryl Henson, walked in the room it was like meeting an old friend. Her concern, attention to detail, medical professionalism, as well as her genuine ability to just be HUMAN, are characteristics you do not find in a medical setting often, not here nowadays. I am grateful to be in the care of this amazingly HUMAN, knowledgeable, Orthopedic pack!

I went to see Dr. Chambers for issues with my shoulder. I had 2 previous surgeries on it a couple years ago when I lived in St. Louis. Dr. Chambers wanted to do an MRI so the request was sent to my insurance company. It came back denied because the insurance company needed a peer-to-peer review, meaning a phone do discuss why I needed the MRI. Well, Dr. Chambers never called for the review with the insurance company. When I called to find out why he hadn’t reached out to the insurance company, I was told that Dr. Chambers doesn’t do peer-to-peer reviews. So, he either didn’t want to treat me and that was his way out, or he really doesn’t do any peer-to-peer reviews and loses patients because of it. An MRI typically requires a review with the insurance company. I don’t believe that Dr. Chambers doesn’t do these. I think, based on his diagnosis that my pain is very difficult to treat, he didn’t want to mess with me. Either way, I now have to find a new doctor and have them order an MRI. Very disappointed in OrthoSC. I will never recommend them to anyone.

Dr Alci was very thorough, and after suffering back pain for a very long time I was becoming incredibly depressed. He gave me shots in my lower back and it has so far saved me from spinal surgery. As far as I am concerned he also saved my life. I was at the point when anyone asked me what I wanted my reply was a bullet!

I have been using these facilities for over 8 years for various surgeries. They were originally Strand Orthopedics before the name change.During every visit I have received excellent service. Some doctors have a better “bedside” manner than others, but all are professional and extremely competent. Due to the close proximity of Coastal Carolina University, they get plenty of practice with the athletes and their specific injuries. So I feel confident that the latest techniques are being employed. The convenience of having xray, MRI, pain management and physical therapy all in the same building makes life much easier. The support staff are friendly and makes check in and on going services fast and easy.We are very happy with the service we have received here and will continue to use OrthoSC for treatment.

Excellent office with great patient service. Came in on a Friday afternoon with a hand injury from a fall. Staff went out of their way to care for my injury. When they did not have the correct splint, they immediately called another office to make sure I could get it there. Before leaving that office, they made sure I had a followup appointment scheduled. I would highly recommend this office and staff and am very thankful that I went to them last Friday. 5 star review all around.

But I got seen 1 hour after check in, but I get it. Doctors, nurses and aids are all busy!!! Be nice people because if you piss them off and they quit because of you…and they have…we are all in trouble!

I attended OrthoSC PT in Conway and was very disappointed. Being right next to the hospital and all the surgeons I expected excellent therapists and some physical improvement. They’re very busy and have many therapists of varying knowledge so I never knew who I would be working with at each appointment. The main therapist was a ‘traveling’ one which might work for nurses in hospitals but not for therapy personnel. By time I saw the billing (which I believe included therapies I did not receive) for my 3X a week for 2 months, this therapist had ‘traveled’ on. And when I stopped going I didn’t feel one bit better. I would not attend any of their locations.

Ortho SC what used to be strand Orthopaedic is a well-oiled machine. I can’t tell you how many orthopedic surgeons they have there but I would need fingers and toes to count them. They all have specialties and the way the place is run is almost like an assembly line. Not for the surgery mind you LOL. But as far as going to an appointment and getting checked in and getting back to a nurse and getting into a room and getting seen by the doctor and getting x-rays etc etc is pretty well polished. The doctors are all very good that what they do
