The quality of Physical Therapy is based on the individual therapist assigned to you. Reviewing PT establishments is akin to reviewing a hair salon. The evaluation is molded by the person working with you. At Vita I was fortunate to be assigned to Joe. He is cerebral and knowledgeable with an eclectic array of skills. His multi-faceted approach is ideal for someone such as myself, as templates never fit. I am not the norm. Joe understands movement, strength, body manipulation, and the gestalt of health. My aches, inflexibility, and aging are handled with analysis, searching for what in his bag of tricks will work best. Joe is like a Zen Master, and I leave Vita feeling exponentially better. The facility itself is clean, modern and comfortable, with enough space to feel private. Jennifer, Barit, and Gina, the front desk staff, greet you with a down to earth welcome, but they are also worldly, in a refreshing manner. My conversations are always enlightening, plus they are organized and keep the scheduling together. They use technology to make everything seamless.I have encountered PT in an array of cities throughout the United States. Vita is the best of them all.

We never believed in physiotherapy, in my 30s with two sons never took my problems seriously. But last year, I started having a lot of back and upper body pains including loss of arm/hand strength that was never addressed properly. After several scans over my body, doctor visits and trying various medicines I was fortunate to be seen at Vita by Brad. I really appreciate the professional depth and knowledge Brad had. Just after the first session, I felt a sudden reduction in stiffness and pain and the pain subsided substantially after each visit. Brad also taught me how to exercise properly and keep better posture all day. I could have never imagined that my hand would regain strength with weight lifting. I came to Vita after trying many larger PT chains where you are just a number and the treatment was very routine and unsatisfactory. I’ll give Vita 5+ stars for such a hardworking, knowledgeable and compassionate team at Vita. And all my thanks to Brad for helping me return to life.

I love this place. The staff is excellent it’s a modern facility and i am currently a post surgery patient. Brad, Joe, and Tommy are great PTs Hailey at the reception desk does a great job. Parking is tough, especially if you are not able bodied but you can park in metered parking for free if you have a handicap sticker.

I had a great experience with Vita over the two months I came for PT, dry needling, etc. I dealt exclusively with Brad who is fantastic! He is extremely knowledgeable, personable and caring. He’s also very professional yet casual and inviting. The symptoms/issues that brought me to Vita have not been completely resolved but I was given a solid treatment/workout plan that I will carry with me moving forward.I will sincerely miss seeing Brad, PT Greg and Laura who were all so friendly. Vita’s environment is very positive and the equipment and facilities (machines, locker room, etc.) are top notch! Keep doing what you’re doing. You helped me a lot on many levels. All the best!

Vita is truly a jewel in the Third Ward. I had previously worked with physical therapists at a hospital for shoulder and knee problems and recovering from a knee replacement I had hoped for a facility that would make the experience easier. I found what I was looking for at Vita. Everyone there is well informed and goes out of there way to help. I was initially concerned about parking early in recovery and there is space available close by. I have never had a problem with scheduling at times convenient for me. This is not the case with the large hospital departments. I have worked almost exclusively with Brad who is incredibly knowledgeable . He explains the logic of what he is doing and keeps the visits interesting. Vita has very good equipment as they also provide training. I developed some wicked hip pain during my recovery and was starting to feel pretty down but Brad was able to convince me with time and work I would improve and I am getting there. He is patient and actually makes the visits something I look forward too. He is acquainted with my orthopedic team so I feel very well managed. Although I am not looking forward to a second knee replacement this month knowing the folks at Vita will be there for me is very reassuring. They will even visit me at home early on in my recovery. I feel lucky to have found them.

I’ve been prescribed physical therapy several times for different injuries. The two hospital-affilitated places I’ve been treated folks in assembly line fashion: tons of people waiting in the lobby, anonymous therapist comes in, another intern rushes through a set of stock exercises, you’re wheeled back to the appointment nurse and repeat. Everything felt rushed, depersonalized. When I injured my back I was asked where I wanted to go for PT. I was pretty ambivalent, having only experienced unhelpful and uninspired care. I had my surgeon pick a place close to my house, and called to make an appointment. I’ll cut to the chase: Vita is very different. The two therapists I’ve seen, Tommy and Rachel, approach PT scientifically and holistically. They’re both exceptionally qualified and participate in the research side of the field–something that tells me they’re invested in staying current with the theory that informs their practice. Rachel is outstanding. She truly listens to her patients and her optimism made me believe, for the first time, that my chronic condition would improve with the plan we set together. Rachel knows her stuff and takes the time to explain what she’s doing, the theories behind the plan, and how to do the exercises at home. You can tell everyone there, clients and staff alike truly like being there. I would recommend Vita to anyone needing physical therapy or who’s looking for a trainer.

I reached out to Aria because I was dealing with a lot of anxiety and uncertainty in my life. From the beginning, she made me feel calm. She explained to me her process and kept checking in to see how I was feeling. She had a very warm and welcoming personality and I immediately felt comfortable opening up to her. I felt so much better after speaking to her. I have to say that I was surprised by what she was able to pinpoint about what was going on and provided clarity for a future that I felt blind navigating through

I’ve met several top local psychics through the work that I do. Aria Norman is the only one I turn to when I need answers and direction around a sticky or confusing situation. I was drawn to her warmth, humor and down to earth manner. Her energy work is spot-on and her readings deliver helpful insights. To get a taste of Aria check out her lively and entertaining discussions on her Psychic Psybling program with her brother Jamie on Facebook.

I wanted to provide an updated review for my experience working with Aria! First & foremost I LOVE Aria! Not only did she assist me with my issue in 2020 which was very scary to me but she ALSO provided me with 1 on 1 Zoom classes teaching me how to be a better Psychic in 2022. When I first spoke with her In 2020 she was one of the first psychics I ever spoke to! She mentioned how I was GIFTED as well & would love to teach me. I didn’t take the offer seriously..I didn’t believe in myself at the time. But make no mistake!!! In 2022 after increasing my belief I found Aria again & messaged her because I felt really called to asking her for assistance on increasing/bettering my gifts. Being the WONDERFUL person she is, she gave me 1on1 Classes to improve my Psychic abilities. I am now working full time as a psychic. Thank you so much Aria for your assistance. I TRULY APPRECIATE YOU. YOU ARE AMAZING!!! YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED WORKING WITH HER! SHE IS A GREAT PSYCHIC & AMAZING TEACHER!

I wanted to update my review due to the last line I wrote in the original. Aria is simply a “good bet” for anyone wanting a reading that produces results. She knows what she’s doing. She treats her business as a business. Which means, she understands people are counting on her to produce results in a professional manner (and much more). She is the real deal. I know that when I purchase a reading with her- I’m getting results that I can trust. There’s lots of people entering this field as of late. Aria has been doing this for years and years. So my advice- go with a pro(Aria). I get she’s not the “cheapest.” But honestly- I think it’s just a bad idea to shop for a psychic based on which one gives you the best deal (or free). Value based readings have their place. Some are fabulous. But if you’re like me- I want to KNOW that I’m getting quality and will absolutely pay for that. No one could charge higher prices if they weren’t sure of their abilities and have a client base that agrees. Like… a crappy lawyer can’t charge big bucks and expect to stay in business. Or maybe they could… but they’ll never build a fruitful, thriving business. Successful people get there because they are legit. I absolutely pick Aria and hope you do too
Juliana L. rated 5 stars on 8/18/2020
I started my call with Aria and i was anxious as hell, tightness all in my back, neck and shoulders. Aria understood everything I was looking to learn about, she was kind, sensitive to my needs and my anxiety… she delivered her answers confidently and was honest on everything she could feel and couldn’t. She worked so hard for me. She kept checking in with me too to make sure i was still interested in continuing. I can say, by the end of my call, I was so very relaxed, all my tension was GONE. I felt loose. For the first time in months. Just so relaxed, confident in my decisions, confident in what I was planning to do and all myGoals. I can’t believe it took my this long to find her. I am so so happy. Even now, the next day, I am putting things in MOTION. It’s amazing. I can’t recommend her enough.

Aria made me feel comfortable and answered questions concerning certain settings/populations I want to pursue in my career. She was able to channel my feelings and current pursuits regarding my career and point me in the right direction of clinics/hospitals that would be a good fit for me. She was also able to outline a bigger picture and suggest options that may help me on my path. Aria was able to pick up on some health issues I am currently experiencing and provided resources I could utilize in the future. Aria was able to portray and outline my intuitive nature and give real examples of situations I have experienced that provide evidence to that. Aria is great and I will definitely be using her services again soon!

Aria is an amazing reader. After speaking with her, the heaviness I felt dissipated. She revealed what my gifts are and gave me a starting point to begin a new path. Don’t hesitate to contact Aria as she is easy to talk to and she is on point with where you’re at. She told me things that resonate with where I’m at. I’m ready for my next reading!
Melissa L. rated 5 stars on 1/14/2018
Just wanted to update I’ve been talking to Aria for years and she is always very warm and provides such clarity on the situations I ask about. She has accurately predicted a number of things such as people coming back or leaving my life, job changes and inner obstacles. She is a great person to seek out if you’re having questions about a situation or needing some insight!!
R. Maria L. rated 5 stars on 8/20/2017
I have been in contact with Aria for about a year and half. She is fantastic!! Called her before changing careers, and she helped me make the right choice. Booking with her is super easy as well. She gets right back to you right away and once you schedule, she calls at your appointed time right on time. The first appointment I made was a longer 30min phone appt. Sometimes if I am facing a challenge and want to contact her, I drop her an email and schedule a 15 min. which is usually done within the week. She is right on all the time. Aria will tell you exactly what you need to hear. Highly recommended. Super easy to book. Very Reasonable rates. Accurate and to the point. Will probably be checking in with her soon again.

A friend referred me to Creating Wellness when my back was really messed up. After a combination of assisted stretching and massage, I was able to walk out of there feeling like a new man. For me, this was especially important since I’m a roofer and I don’t have much of an opportunity to just relax during my busy season. I’ve seen other massage therapists and even physical therapists and none of them can hold a candle to the therapist at Creating Wellness. To be honest, I was a little apprehensive at first since he’s also a Reiki Master and I’m not much into hippie medicine, but pleasantly there was none of that. He asked me a few questions and knew what I needed. He was able to eliminate the pain and get me back to work so I can support my family. I’ve been back a few times, so has my wife and even some of my coworkers. This guy is the real deal. If you’ve tried others without results, you need to check out Mike who will restore your faith in the profession. He knows his stuff.

I found this place via Groupon. The downside to Groupon is that it can take a couple of months to get the appointment scheduled, but it can be worth it.I spoke to Michael about the treatments I’d been receiving on my shoulder, and when I mentioned Elements Massage, he asked if the therapist was Thom. Apparently he knew Thom, so Michael explained the technique that Thom used was Chinese Tui Na and used the same technique, since it was so effective for me.In the hour, Michael found at least 4 huge knots in my pectorals and shoulder area and got rid of them.He will be on my short list for future massage therapists. His rate is usually $80 per hour, but he is currently running a summer and fall special with $45 hour sessions. He typically only works 9:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday, but is willing to schedule an evening appointment if needed.I definitely recommend him, especially for sports injury massage treatments.

Michael is the real deal. He can be the massage therapist that can give a “nice” massage that feels good, but I used him for actual progress and working things out- he was able to get my knees and hips back in order and became part of my regular health regime. Great guy, knows his stuff, and works hard. Would recommend him to anyone.

I get a massage every month from Michael. I consider it a critical element of my health care. He works deeply on very tight and constricted muscles and I feel it has made a huge difference in my well being. I am so grateful for his skills and I love the new space!

Amazing! I loved my Swedish massage by Michael V. He was thorough in his before massage evaluation and after. As for the massage, it was the best I have had. I have had massages on beaches in other countries, at other massage places in milwaukee and at high end Aveda salons. None comes close to this one. Amazing, amazing. I would highly recommend this place. I think I have found my massage place!

I’ve had massages with multiple masseurs, and Michael was by far the best. He hit the right spots with just the right pressure and discovered knots that I never knew existed. He gave good suggestions on lifestyle changes to help with issues. I plan to go back!!

I’ve had quite a few massages in Milwaukee and Brookfield, and my experience with Michael has been by far the best. He is very knowledgable about body muscles and nerves, and takes the time to explain what he’s doing. He constantly hit the right spots, as he was treating my bruised shoulder and my tense pec muscles, and I felt so much better after his work was done. His mannerism is also very respectful and professional. Absolutely recommended.
Laura L. rated 5 stars on 5/9/2013
Michael is great–very thorough with his initial assessment and knowledgeable when asked questions. As a RN, I am often skeptical of complementary/alternative therapists. While I do not subscribe to some of the techniques that he is trained in, I really enjoyed his massage technique. I feel very confident that he is well versed in the techniques he employs and he is very professional in his manner.Massages are always pricey (and they should be, since you have a practitioner working with you individually for an hour), but Michael’s prices are competitive. Approximately $50-70 for a one-hour massage.

Invivo Wellness is great! I unfortunately only go on (some) Saturdays because I am in grad school on many weekends. However, they are on Class Pass so I am able to book my classes for here right through the app. The class that I go to on Saturday mornings is the strength circuit course with Robert. It is hands down my favorite class in Milwaukee. It is so tiny and intimate so you feel very comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and getting minor corrections to better improve your form/strength. Every Saturday I go, the class is different in some senses. There is always a TRX, floor and mat part to the class but the movements are not the same. The class is only 45 minutes so it goes by quite quickly. Robert is a terrific instructor and can provide help to men/women of all ages. If you are part of Class Pass or belong to this studio already, that class is a must!!

Just march right past those groups of dudes on their way to Stubbys, head down next to the bridge and you’ll find the entrance to the beautiful, clean, and calming invivo wellness. Thanks to a Meet Milwaukee/yelp event, myself and about 10 fellow yelpers got to sample a free class in their Milwaukee-river-overlooking yoga studio. I’ve heard many great things from different people over the years, and since it’s in the neighborhood, I’m not really sure how I’d never been! But I was glad to check it out. The facility is super clean, modern and new. They have a workout area, said yoga and (I think) offer massage and other therapeutic services. The yoga studio was really nice. Lots of props available, a great sound system, lots of windows on the river and a class that was an easy enough intro for a yoga newbie, but our instructor suggested plenty of modifications if you have been doing yoga longer too. Looking online too, they offer different kinds of yoga classes, so I’m thinking its just a matter of finding the style you like best. Thanks and Namaste:)!

Had a 90 minute massage with Charisma. Whoa! I think I got the best massage I had ever had! She was very intuitive and I really felt a huge difference on the pain I had her work on. I really felt I got a ‘whole’ body massage along with special attention to my sore spots. Highly recommend!!

Maurice is a skillful and compassionate Physical Therapist! I’ve been an active person my whole life and intern have struggled with MANY injuries. He’s not only kind and professional, he’s a true healer. I feel like Humpty Dumpty who keeps falling off the wall of life and he keeps putting me back together again so I can lead a happy, healthy and symptom free life. I’m so thankful to have found such an authentic, conscientious and supportive Physical Therapist. He’s truly a gem!

I really enjoyed my time at Invivo!! It’s a beautiful facility overlooking the river. They offer a variety of classes and spa treatments. It has the feel of a small gym and the massages are really catered towards physical therapy healing. I had a deep tissue massage with Elizabeth. She was super friendly and payed attention to my needs. They also provided me with a robe and locker so I could use the sauna and showers after. It was so relaxing! I think their prices are super fair and I’ve heard from friends that they have great deals too. I’ll definitely be back!! And back to try some yoga classes as well!

It’s been a while since I enjoyed the chance to do some yoga, and I’d forgotten how restorative it is. Thanks to Invivo’s hosting of a Meet Milwaukee event, I’m feeling much more relaxed and living in the moment!A group of 10 of us recently enjoyed a one hour session. It was fantastic. I am hardly a yogi. But here was a chance to pull out a mat, a blanket, some blocks, and a strap and put the tools to good use. Feeling a little bit shy I took a spot in the back.We started out by working our backs. My lower back seems to store my stress, so I found the exercises we did very relaxing. The exercises in a gentle way also let me know I could benefit from doing some yoga regularly. We worked on stretching our arms, legs, feet, hands, neck, shoulders, and ended with bringing our focus into the moment. I left feeling grounded, soothed and glad I went to the event. Thank you Invivo for the experience and I will have to use my check in coupon for a massage!

This review is for John the massage therapist at Invivo. I seriously injured myself while weight lifting and needed desperate attention to my shoulder and neck. I called and they had an opening that day. John knows what he is doing and you can tell by how he takes a detailed medical history and listens to what problems you are having and tailors his massage accordingly. It was the best massage I’ve ever gotten and I do enjoy massages quite frequently. He has a great personality and an excellent touch. He advised me on some neck/head stretches to help with my sore shoulder/neck and today I am feeling a lot better. I highly recommend him!

I was one of those “I’ll never go to a chiropractor” people until my back hurt for more than a week despite the exercises I did that a physical therapist had given me. Then I found Dr. Kronz and guess what? Ater a few weeks my back is nearly back to normal! I feel so comfortable going to his office. Krista is so friendly and easy to talk to at the front desk. And Dr. Kronz thoroughly explained what my problem was and has worked a plan to fix it. He is so easy to talk to. He listens, explains and cheers on my progress. I can honestly say that I am now a “Go to a chiropractor if you have any back pain” kind of person. And make sure that you go to Dr. Kronz!!

I have been coming here for over a month now and am happy I did so. After being a chiropractic “newbie,” I was slightly hesitant but I’m so glad I gave it a try. Dr. Konz and his assistant provide top-level guidance, care, and follow up. I’m happy to report that treatment has steadily improved my abilities and I greatly appreciate it. Also, the customer service and attention to detail really make this place shine, too. For anyone considering chiropractic care, I highly suggest giving them a try. Furthermore, they accept all major insurance carriers.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Kronz for a few months now and couldn’t be more pleased. He is personable, helpful, and professional. Dr. Kronz has treated me fairly and with respect and I’ve seen excellent improvements in my physical health due to his help! His care is affordable and he works within my means. The office is clean and new. He was even able to take x-rays upon the first session on-site, included in the regular session fee. Dr. Kronz has invested in quality treatment tools. His staff is friendly and always welcoming. I’m so appreciative and can’t recommend ESFC enough!

If you are experiencing any back pain, please go see Dr. Kronz. I’ve been to a few chiropractors in Milwaukee and East Side Family Chiropractic is by far the best. Their office is clean, their staff is very friendly, and Dr. Kronz does an impeccable job! My back hasn’t been this comfortable in a very long time. I’ve been going every week for about 6 months. Scheduling is flexible and they work with you on payment plans. I cannot recommend East Side Family Chiropractic enough!

This is one of the finest chiropractors I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot! I consistently walk out of their office feeling 150% better, with both acute and chronic discomforts. And from day one you’re greeted with warmth, listened to with genuine care and empathy, and treated like family. I’d give ten stars if I could. Highly recommended!

Chai is the most amazing Physical Therapist that my husband and myself have ever encountered. From back problems to me dealing with MS, Chai has helped so much! He’s incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but personable at the same time. I was diagnosed with breast cancer not too long ago. I wasn’t seeing him at the time, but my husband needed to ask him about his own shoulder. My husband told Chai about the breast cancer and within a week, unexpectedly, he sent me a beautiful and encouraging card. Now that’s awesome!

Lynn Cohen is AMAZING! She is an angel from the heavens! I saw another rolfer for years who doesn’t even come close to Lynn’s level of skill and experience. She is very educated and skilled and a true professional. I can not say enough good things about her business. She has cured me of living with intense amounts of pain. I am so grateful! If you do not have experiene with rolfing – be open minded and give it a try. So many people seem to have the wrong idea about this amazing practice. It is no more painful than a deep tissue or sport massage. Give it a try. And look no further than Lynn Cohen!!!!!

Engaging in life as the best version of ourselves is not always easy to do without support. Lynn facilitates this transformation with a level of expertise in a class of it’s own. These experiences have helped me move past limitations and live a more vital existence with improvements in sleep, TMJ, knee and back pain, headaches, and more. Her compassion and insight as she untangles your kinks sets her apart from other practitioners. I float home feeling reconnected to not just my physical being, but to my true essence. So good!!

I love Lynn. She makes me feel better every time I see her. Plus I think I may be a few inches taller after she works her magic, and at 5’2″ I could use it. She is a caring and professional practitioner. I recommend her for structural dysfunction, she will Rolf you back into shape.

Years of sitting on the floor with my laptop, hunching over drawings and general disregard left me with an achy body and a collapsed S-curve… so much so that when I went to an acupuncture office they asked me if I was in a serious car accident! Bummer. I felt all out-of-whack in my own body and needed to be realigned. My understanding of Rolfing as a discipline was next to none, other than a familiarity to the name when I would see ads in Whole Life Times Mag. Yet I found myself looking up rolfers on yelp and Rolfworks/Lynn looked best with all glowing reviews. Sounds good to me. I called to make an appointment and the next one for new clients was in 2 months! Say what?!?! I was in pain but in demand means quality work right? Ok sign me up! I will wait.. and I am so glad I did.Lynn practices out of her home on the eastside of town. The spacious treatment room located upstairs is very clean and inviting. She’s got a warm, quiet, grounded demeanor… a practitioner you can really open up and trust. I just completed the 10 Session series with Lynn and while my posture is not perfect, she’s worked miracles on it. My sessions were never painful and I always walk out of her purple victorian feeling rejuvenated. You know when a healer has that magic touch… an intuitive knowing of which spot to press and work on? Lynn’s got that gift and combined with a deep understanding of her craft and continuously learning new skills (she’s always taking new classes)… it’s a stellar combination. My last session was a few weeks ago and I am still feeling the benefits of her work on a daily basis. She’s taught me exercises to do at home to strengthen my legs and feet, as well being more aware of my body in space. My fascia/connective tissues are so so thankful for her gentle and powerful touch. I am standing taller, walking better all because of her.If your body is needing a little or a ton of TLC… Lynn’s your girl. And when you arrive for your appointment and see the big black dog chillin’ by the door? Don’t be scared… she’s a sweetie. Open the door and Lynn will greet you with a smile and help you along your merry way… with more spring in your step!

If you’re looking for a rolfer/structural integrationist, look no futher … Lynn Cohen is simply the best!If I could give her 10 stars I would! As a musician with a host of playing related aches and pains, I’ve tried many different types of body work over the years. Admittedly, some have worked better for me than others. Rolfing has been a great discovery – and not just Rolfing, but specifically LYNN! She is kind, generous, intuitive, wise, gentle and just an all around wonderful person! She takes the time to figure out exactly what is going on with you in particular. Her work is methodical and she explains exactly what she’s doing, how it all works, what it may feel like, how it will help … she’s truly one of a kind! Every time I leave a session with Lynn I feel like a new person. I’m a little more dialed in with how to use my body and how to use it to avoid injury … and I sleep like a baby that night, too!Lynn is without question, the best!

I am not new to body work and have seen many wonderful practitioners over the years. I steered away form Rolfing because it terrified me. Then I met Lynn. We had an extensive conversation andI decided to give it a try.I am so glad I did. I am in the middle of my 10 series and the change in my body has already been profound. It wasn’t painful like I thought it would be. If it ever gets too intense, I simply tell Lynn and she eases and/or finds a different way. Lynn, also, gives excellent information about body awareness that includes real life applications. This information helps sustain the changes. I love my chiropractor but the adjustments would never hold. I am finding that my body is willing and able to accept and hold the Rolfing adjustments. I cannot recommend Lynn more highly.M

I have worked with several rolpher/structural integrationists over 12 years or so. I am very certain that the practice is brilliant and can do a lot for people who want to feel better in their body. But the practitioner you see is as important as the practice and Lynn is a truly gifted rolpher. She is an artist in a field of technicians.

Lynn is an amazing woman–very entertaining, infinitely friendly, and she definitely speaks “body.” Since going to Lynn, my posture has improved, I’ve had noticeably less back and neck problems, and she’s taught me a lot about my body.Lynn helped me notice subtleties s in the way I hold my body, and I always left her (gorgeous) house feeling great. I think her price is very reasonable for what she provides. She also gave me an amazing list of things to do around Los Angeles, as I am relatively new to town.Great woman, great service, great experience. If you have any type of body issue, be sure to give Lynn a try. Highly, highly recommended!
Sara I. rated 5 stars on 7/19/2011
My experience with bodywork has been limited to trips to the Korean day spa or a relaxation massage a few times a year. I have always been interested in going deeper, however, and a 7 series with Lynn seemed the perfect way to do that.It was a fantastic experience. I learned so much about my body! Although I don’t suffer from chronic pain, I always felt better after a session-my movements where looser and more free. Lynn was a pleasure to work with, as well. She was so attentive to the particulars of my body–where I needed “space,” what parts of me were tender–that I felt totally cared for. Her concern for me and how my body “works” was obvious. Her careful attention felt like a rare luxury, in the sense that for an hour a day, it was really “all about me.”And since it always seems to come up, no it didn’t hurt–much. I remember being uncomfortable for a few minutes in session 6 or 7. But it was not a “holy hell this hurts” sort of feeling, it was more like “this is annoying and I wish it would stop.” (And Lynn would have stopped in a heartbeat had I asked her to–but I didn’t, since it didn’t hurt that much and I figured the benefits would be worth the temporary discomfort.)Lynn gives excellent restorative massages, too. Nice and deep and her massage room is lovely. To anyone looking for a Rolfer or a massage therapist–Lynn’s your woman!
Bob D. rated 5 stars on 9/8/2016
Lynn holds her practice to the highest professional standard. Going in, I knew very little about Rolfing/Structural Integration. Coming out, I’m on the path to becoming certified myself. I always felt comfortable and safe in Lynn’s work environment. She made me aware of my body in a way that I hadn’t experienced before. Though I didn’t come to her practice with any recent injuries or acute pain, parts of my body that had sustained injuries in the past were given a breath of life. My ability to feel grounded in everyday life has grown exponentially. I highly recommend the work, especially from someone as qualified and intuitive as Lynn. As a side note, I was a client of Lynn’s Milwaukee practice.

I hate exercise. I arrived on Dee’s doorstep, on the verge of double knee replacement, and in pain. I’d had previous surgery on both knees and was just past the expected date for knee failure and artificial knee installation. My goal was to strengthen my muscles in preparation for surgery, and moderate the pain if possible. I continued with 2 sessions each week, haven’t yet needed surgery, and am not in pain. This is not a cure, but being able to delay surgery is money in the bank for me. Now, it’s another year later, and I’m still showing up twice a week. Dee helped me with my recovery from a broken leg and serious orthopedic surgery this last year. I have a lousy pattern going here.I’m extremely limited in the progress I’ve made, compared to normal folks. Dee has been able to accommodate my meager progress the entire time. My doctors were not encouraging when I started Pilates. I’d tried Yoga, repeatedly got injured and was unable to recover. Physical Therapy didn’t help. So, It was purely experimental when I bought a trial package and dragged my sorry self to try Pilates. I can’t imagine they want more customers like me, but I’d recommend her services without reservation.

Hard to believe that East Side Pilates (ESP) has yet to get a review. Two private lessons in, and I’m a huge fan of the studio. I can usually tell within my first 10 minutes of a first lesson on whether the teacher/student relationship is going to work out. I’ve been fortunate enough to have been taught by some awesome instructors in most major cities I’ve traveled to over the past five years. I’ve also had my share of crappy ones as well. Thus, I’m VERY particular with who I choose as my instructor. Being a future physical therapist who suffers from plenty of joint pain (and multiple operations), one of of my criteria in choosing a studio/instructor is whether I’d feel comfortable enough to send a patient there without the risk of the instructor injuring/killing them. I’ve definitely found a winner with Dawn at ESP. She’s a wonderful instructor who actually listens to her clients. She’s great at cueing students on what the particular exercise entails. Despite being classically trained, she’s open to mixing things up a bit to keep me challenged and interested. I’ve taken lessons in the past by the annoying “classical purists/snobs” who refuse to change their routine – constantly name dropping and stating that “Joe” (as in Joe Pilates) did it a certain way and that’s the ONLY right way. I guess they would be correct if we were still in the 19th century, but anatomy, orthopedics and biomechanics have evolved since then. Back on topic of Dawn, I have yet to take one of her classes, but plan on doing so soon. I know that she’ll be equally as great teaching a group as she does a private lesson. The studio does offer group lessons at an affordable price, at least in comparison to studios in LA or NY. The variety includes reformed, tower, mat, jump board, and barre classes, and I believe classes are taught everyday. Classes run from around $15 to $25, and privates are $60/55 minute session. Packages are available, which can bring the prices down quite a bit. And for all you newbies to the studio, they offer fantastic introductory packages. I purchased an introductory three-pack for $160. In any case, East Side Pilates gets my seal of approval. I’m already looking forward to returning for my next lesson…..a very good sign that I found a winner indeed!Tip (an addendum): If you’re a complete newbie or have an orthopedic/neurological condition, I HIGHLY recommend talking to Ann (the owner – who’s awesome with coordinating lessons and communicating) and setting up a few privates prior to taking classes. Some of the moves can put your body into compromising positions with certain conditions, so it’s better to err on the cautious side!

The instructors here are great, and I love how they have student rates, otherwise it would not be accessible to many interested patrons. I will say however, that the cancellation policy sucks. It’s a 24 hour notice, which I totally GET, but if you wake up sick or have a family emergency you have to eat your class fee. I just wish they were a little more flexible to the clients needs. If you flake and forget class, sure, you should be charged, but life happens sometimes.

I have been super impressed with Eastside Pilates. I have been taking private lessons as well as a group class for about four months now and everything about the experience has been top rate. The trainers are all kind, professional and have fun personalities which makes it so much easier and more enjoyable. I am not a fitness buff by any means and have found all the staff willing to help and accommodate my limitations and to assist in pushing past them. The only minor annoyance is they do not have a water cooler available so you have to remember to bring enough with you.

I have been going to Eastside Pilates now for four years, both for massage and Pilates. If you have any kind of discomfort or injury (or just need to relax) Jesse Masche is the BEST for massage. I had a terrible sciatic pinch, and between her folks (Masche Chiropractic) adjusting me and Jesse rearranging the muscles, I was able to recover (and still go back for maintenance/therapy massages). The studio itself is inspiring in it’s creative, fresh, and fun interior; very motivating and welcoming. The staff are caring and extremely encouraging with all level of skill. I have been doing Pilates off and on for fours years and their patience and understanding have kept it fun and interesting as well as beneficial. They also offer a wide cariety of nutrition and wellness seminars that are fun and informative. Great group of people! ESP is awesome, highly recommended for all.
