I am so pleased with Moreau PT in Walker, LA. Their physical therapist, Matt Bunch, is a LIFE-SAVER! I am from out of town, I needed to get help with my shoulder pain. I stopped by Moreau PT to see if I could get an appointment before we left (within five days), which I didn’t think I’d be able to. Matt, the Physical Therapist, made the time to talk to me, answered my questions, explained my condition. He gave me a treatment and gave me exercises so I could strengthen my back so I would not need to continue to go to get others to “fix me.” I highly recommend Moreau PT in Walker. They are people who are very caring and are truly concerned about another’s well being. (something many in our medical community lack). An outstanding group of people. I am so grateful.

If you’re looking for good PT, go to Woman’s Wellness. Your PT will actually spend time with you and actually observe your ailments and progress. Going to Moreau’s is like going to a Curves gym. Solo with minimal direction– but someone will help you if you ask. The comments of a welcoming environment that makes you feel at home is not my experience. You feel more like an inconvenience.

I am not a big fan of physical therapy. When I think physical therapy, I think “pain” and “people who love to inflict pain on others” (lol). That couldn’t be further from the truth here. Every was so amazing! You walk in and you instantly feel at home. They are all knowledgeable and know what they are doing. Monica was my therapist and I couldn’t have had a better experience with her. I would recommend this location to anyone needing physical therapy services.

I was fortunate enough that my mother knew Alisha Jarreau, owner of the newly-opened “The Therapy Center For Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness” in New Roads. Why? Because I’d just started to recover from cervical surgery after enduring my fair share of upper back pain/pinched nerve pain for the past 8 years. Alisha agreed to take me on as a patient (in fact, one of her first) and away we went!.Now let me preface my review of the practice with this: when I began, Alisha was still in the process of finishing her commercial space (carpet, electrical, et. al.) Normally, most business owners would appreciate your business, remind you of their opening date, and you (the patient) would make-do until this time. But Alisha is not your normal business owner or physical therapist. Instead of the above scenario, Alisha scheduled me immediately for my first appointment….located at her home!!! I spent the better part of the first 2 months of my therapy driving to Alisha’s house 2-3 times a week. She & her husband Jason had worked diligently to transform one of their spare bedrooms into a warm & welcoming space for me to begin my lengthy journey back to good health. In addition to supplying me with coffee (yay!) at every visit, Alisha never lost focus. A lot of folks who run any type of business at their homes will often put the customer on the back-burner occasionally in order to answer the phone/answer the door/do other things that people do when they’re at their house. Not Alisha! She was constantly focused & ever-present as I worked my way through the exercise/stretching regimen that she’d set forth for me. I cannot stress enough how important this was in terms of creating a first impression with me. I have been a regular at physical therapy groups for the past 8 years; even the best of those couldn’t compare with how quickly Alisha made me feel that my well-being was her utmost priority.Other than the location, nothing changed when Alisha moved into her commercial space on Hospital Road. Ans what a space it is! My mother (who attended The Therapy Center’s grand opening/open-house) mentioned how warm & inviting the space was and what a great eye for detail Alisha had. Having spent the latter half of my course of physical therapy at this new space, I couldn’t agree more. Warm tones, a sensibility in layout, and cleanliness rule the day at The Physical Therapy Center. Current (and future) patients will no doubt give the space high marks! Here, Alisha was finally in her element. She doubled her efforts with my rehab and really pushed me to challenge myself to learn what was possible in my post-surgical recovery. There were times when I felt like complaining, sure…this will happen with extended periods of physical therapy. But I could never muster anything other than a faux-whine followed shortly by laughter. No matter how hard Alisha pushed me & my body felt like resisting, she always had a smile & was always encouraging. The mark of a really great physical therapist is that you absolutely do no want to let them down or disappoint them with your effort. In that regard, Alisha is a cut above the rest: if I ever felt like slacking off, I’d feel a tinge of guilt because I knew that she was committed to my health 110%!!!I could, literally, go on & on about Alisha & The Therapy Center. The individual attention, the atmosphere (water, coffee,…even a TV that Alisha will let you change the channel on!), the conversation (important to know that your PT is human sometimes), the expediency in appointment times (Alisha does have a waiting room; you won’t be there for long, if at all!). All of those things, all of what I’ve described above, and so much more….that’s The Therapy Center in New Roads! Take it from a veteran of physical therapy: you will not be disappointed if you allow yourself the priveledge of being under the care of Mrs. Alisha Jarreau. She’s one-of-a-kind and runs one of the best businesses in all of Pointe Coupee parish!!!

Unfortunately I was recently rammed by another car, OUCH !!So long sore story I’m now in physical therapy! The staff here here is super sweet and professional in every way. The place is super clean. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 is some stuff needs refurbished or replaced . The beds or examining tables whatever you call them look old. With my insurance I pay $75 a week because I come 3 times a week. In my opinion they could afford to recover the beds or b

I have vast experience using this physical rehab industry, as a over 50 year old electrician. I find downtown physical rehab to have by far the best physical therapist I have never been to. Downtown’s main Physical therapist Geoff, is thorough and great at what he does. His ability to assess my minor injury solutions has kept me able to do my job successfully, while recovering safely. I am encouraged that he has surrounded himself with young PT’s in our area and training them to do his kind of therapy. For your recovery after a surgery or injury, downtown P.T. in my opinion is the best in town to get you back normal after physical injury or struggles!

I worked as a physical therapy tech for almost three years with this company. It’s a great physical therapy department. Eric Edmonson is the best physical therapist you can get there. He’s super friendly and makes your therapy fun. Alyssa Chauvin is also an amazing therapist. They see a variety of issues from backs, knees and necks to strokes, Parkinson’s, ALS, paralysis, etc. They offer the unweighted treadmill, balance exercises, core strengthening exercises, and even vestibular exercises. They also have the occupational therapist there to work with carpal tunnel, ulnar nerves, tennis elbow and shoulder problems. The physical and occupational therapist team up for those that need both therapies. Jimmy is a great occupational therapist. We call him Jimmy the great. The group is a lot of fun! I definitely enjoyed my time working there.

On Dec. 6, 2022 I fell off of my roof and hit my head on our concrete patio causing a Traumatic Brain Injury. I was in Our Lady of the Lake ICU until Dec. 15 and was transferred to The NeuroMedical Center until Dec. 23, 2022. When I was released from there they had given us referrals to about 3 physical therapists, we chose this one because it’s just right down our road. I’m very satisfied with our decision because Chris, Heather and Lane are so nice and accommodating. Some days I come in feeling top of the world, others not so great. However I feel Chris always works around it knowing that in my condition, it happens. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who needs any type of physical therapy.

I wish there were more than five stars to give this place. I have been going here since May of this year, and the staff has truly done an outstanding job in all realms of service. They have done everything they can to get me back to being confident in my physical abilities, and encouraged me every second along the way. I could not be happier with my time that I spent here, everyone that works there does their job so well. It really doesn’t even feel like Physical Therapy when I go, they make it feel like I am just exercising with my friends. I would absolutely recommend Lewy Physical Therapy to anyone and everyone.

The therapists there are absolutely wonderful! However the billing office is what made my experience very unpleasant. From the start, I told them I had insurance but had a high deductible plan. They told me I would need to pay $110.00 per visit (which I did every time) and that if anything was left over it would be minimal. They did not explain charges very well and I did not receive any sort of bill from them until AFTER I was discharged. Then attempted to contact them several times to discuss bill and it was almost two weeks before someone called me back. They did not adjust any charges, charged me for exercises that I had been shown previously and were doing at home. Not happy at all with the way they deal with their patients on that level at all-make sure you know what you are getting yourself into before you start treatment there..

I want to change my review Since when I go there and told them they said they will correct the mistake. We will see. Here is my previous comment: I am self paying my physical theraphy. I called them and asked them how much I will pay in case I start the Theraphy with them. The lady from accounting department told me it is $65 for each session but they can make a discount if I come regularly. I went twice paid $65 each since they said this is what I owed and I asked if there will be a discount. They said no. Than I didn’t go again. Now they sent me an in pics for $800 !!! I will definitely not pay this because nobody told me I would pay this. I don’t have insurance how on earth they can charge me $800 for 2 sessions for one hour each!!! They were supposed to tell me this and I would not go at all!! They are literally trying to steal from me without telling me anything to start with. I will go there and tell them to cancel this invoice it I prefer to pay an attorney instead of them doing this to meYes they took back the charges and we settled at the original price they offeredThanks a lot

Danny Lewy and his team of board certified physical therapists and massage therapist provide the highest quality of Physical Therapy, Aquatic Therapy, and Occupational Therapy to their patients. Most insurances are accepted. After-hours (until 7pm) and Saturday morning appointments make it convenient for patients to come on a regular basis and very accommodating to their schedules. Their facility is spacious, clean, and the entire staff has a very warming and welcoming personality. In the main treatment room their is a marker board with a daily quote/ joke and interesting fact that I always enjoy reading! They also offer a soft tissue release called the Graston Technique, which is EXTREMELY effective in breaking up scar tissue and alleviating pain and “knots” in the muscles. There is plenty of parking, along with handicap access. Lewy is located right behind Ambrosia Bakery in Siegen Lane. I especially love how Lewy PT participates in community events such as 5k and festivals. Running a race? They will provide complimentary stretching! Lewy PT even has a talk show discussing topics that relate to the medical and physical therapy world, airing on FM Talk 107.3 with Gordy Rush, who frequently gets a massage with their LMT. I highly recommend Lewy PT to get down to the root of the problem, not just to cover up the symptoms of chronic & acute pain.

I was over charged for visits from the start. I had problems with being scheduled for times when I had previously discussed were not good for me. The PT staff is wonderful! The front desk staff is another story!!! I had problems with the billing from day one! I kept having to explain to Emily, that I do have a copay! I was charged for a deductible, but my deductible was met and she kept charging me $26 copay. I kept explaining to Emily that I have an 80/20 policy and there is no copay. I made several visits to the office to clear this up, but per Emily and the other front desk staff, no one in billing was available. I brought my EOB’s and still, no one ever followed up with me. Every time I called, no none knew what was going on. When they sent me my first statement, which automatically shows you 30 late, all of my payments were not posted! That was irritating and I felt robbed!!!! I eventually canceled my treatment due to being overcharged and the scheduling nightmare. For some reason, Emily and the other front desk staff could never get my availability right. Once I canceled, I was charged for canceling and no show. The no-show was because I was sick. I left a message on the voice mail. I would not have canceled if there wasn’t a continuous scheduling conflict. I have four conversations with Emily about what time I can come for PT. And I was still scheduled at other times. I am not paying for a cancellation when the scheduling was their fault! They have poor communication and they do not follow up with you. I reported them to BBB, they were suppose to send me a check in 14 days.. still waiting, no check!
