I received great physical therapy!! The nursing care was good but some of the techs were lacking in experience. Also they are under staffed sometimes so getting quality care was hard. But the staff tried their best.

I would not recommend sending anyone there for care. The doctors are not interested in working with you about your care. You are going to do what they say and they are God! That is exactly how the Doctors treat you especially Dr. Covington over the Brain injury unit. You have no say about your care and it is going to be his way or no way. All staff and management hide behind the Doctor while the Doctor hides behind the staff and refuses to meet with family of the brain injured patient. Again I strongly do not recommend this facility at all.

The best possible place to rehabilitate ever. The staff is amazing and very attentive to the patients needs. Very professional and addresses each need as they arise. Kudos to all staff

I’m giving three stars because the PT staff is great as are the nurses. Unfortunately the facility, where my husband is in the spinal cord area, is filthy. Wet Towels stay on the bathroom floors for days. We left to go to Central Baptist for 4.5 hours yesterday. We came back to find the room as we left:dirty sheets, those towels, dirty floor, sink and nasty gown. The case manager, whom I tracked down the first day never made an appearance until 2.5 weeks later as my husband learned he is being released in several days. Our assigned psychologist never made an appearance until today. Why don’t those people show up more often? Don’t they think some patients might have concerns?I am so disappointed in Cardinal Hill. It’s not what it used to be before it was bought by a conglomerate. I’m thinking it can’t continue to coast on its laurels of days gone by.
Ruby G. rated 3 stars on 5/17/2019
I gave 3 stars because the P.T. – O.T. and Speech Therapy were great! However, the food quality was very poor- no nutritional value as oftenleftovers were served. My husband didn’t have enough strength to perform in P.T. as he should have. He lost 21 lbs in the 2 wks. spent there. He also developed a skin rash that would have resulted in a bed sore had I not brought attention to it. He was about to be sent home with that condition but subsequently kept him longer until it cleared up, with using an ointment from the Pharmacy. Also, the sheets were not changed everyday. His tray was just sat by him instead of providing the help he needed to prepare for eating. A nurse stated he told them he did not want to eat, however, when I prepared it and handed him the fork, he ate it. Ensure was placed on each tray to make up for the lack of good food quality, however, the Ensure makes him sick at the stomach and he was not able to get it down.

This is the best place in Central Kentucky for your family member to rehabilitate from major illness. The patients are in huge rooms with excellent staff. They are very patient with the sick and elderly. They are experts at getting those worn out and unmotivated to move and rehab.
Karla B. rated 2 stars on 2/19/2020
I use to work at Cardinal Hill for almost 13 years and I was able to see change take place so fast that it would keep your head spinning. The worst change that ever happened to Cardinal Hill was being bought out by HealthSouth/Encompass with this brought a decline in the quality of care due to the emphasis no longer being about the patient and their goals but about the revenue. At this time we lost most of our therapists that were experienced and had grown with Cardinal Hill. When I was hired it was viewed as a preveliage to work at this prestigious facility and you were viewed as the best of the best therapist if you worked at Cardinal Hill because of their outstanding reputation but now their reputation is very poor according to the talk out in the community. My neighbor choose Cardinal Hill after a fall because she knew I had worked there and the reputation they had for getting people back up and on their feet again, however the patient requested to leave early and stated she would not put her most valued pet in a facility like that. The management team is the only ones that are given credit for the hospitals progress when it is actually the doctors, nurses, and therapists that work their tails off in order for the hospital to grow and have a reputation for which is now subpar since the hospital was bought out by a for profit company. Management needs to change and so does the company that now owns Cardinal Hill in order for Cardinal Hill to regain their outstanding reputation.I personally would not want my family member brought to this rehab facility at this time. I think I would choose another option like Frazier before I would bring them to Cardinal Hill.

The doctors are fantastic most of the staff are, however, my issue was first aids were careless my granddaughter was there both ankles where crushed had surgery in three places on Right feet left couldn’t have survey doctors wanted it to heal on its own. NO WEIGHT BEARING doctor orders. They had her to stand to transfer her to the bathroom. I talked to the doctor I was pissed. He orders X-rays right away they called said no damage she was just in pain from being on them. Next problem she had an appointment for X-rays at the clinic to how healings were coming we knew about an appointment for two weeks. Know one said we had to be there for an appointment we live 6-hour drive away. the secretary when I call on Friday asked who was going with her I told her didn’t know we have to be there for x-ray asked why she waited to Friday to tell someone had to go with her because of her brain injury if not doctors might cancel an appointment. Make the story short she was rude and very unprofessional. If we knew that we had to be there we would of made plans. My daughter had to take a day off from work and went.

I stumbled into White Willow by accident whileVisiting Chocolate Holler. I had no idea this gem existed in Lexington! Whether you’re looking for natural healing, a massage, interesting tarot cards, or crystals (and their inventory doesn’t stop there), you will find a friendly face at White Willow. I absolutely loved their Valentine’s feature, and have the full intention of making it back in for gifts!

This place is AMAZING! From the time you walk in the energy is so warm, welcoming and positive. They have a wide variety of instruction classes available. The owner, I believe her name is April took her time to explain everything, offer guidance and most importantly created an amazing atmosphere. Her energy is calm, soothing when speaking with her, always willing to share her knowledge with those who are will to receive it. They offer a wide range to massage and services that cover a wild ranger of out comes for their clients. If you open to it, this place can be a wonderland of knowledge and relaxation. The best advice is don’t go in which any exceptions and be open minded and you will defiantly come away a new person. I could not recommend White Willow or April more!

I’ve had 2 massages by Mary now and she’s been a godsend. The last time I went in with some severe jaw/mouth pain and after the massage, she gave me great tips for relaxation and recommended I see a dentist. I am so thankful I did because I went to the dentist and sure enough I have some issues going on and they had been going on for a while now without my knowledge. I am super thankful for her and hope to be on the mend soon! In the meantime, I’m going to self-prescribe some more massages from her!

Passing through Kentucky from our home state of Michigan and stumbled upon this gem (pun intended) of a rock store through a Google search. I was impressed and the young woman working was absolutely fantastic to talk to and in showing my friend and I incredibly beautiful stones. She didn’t mind that we looked in the baskets underneath which meant a lot to us in picking out pieces to purchase. The shop felt comfortable and welcoming, was organized well, and well-priced with one of the largest selections of stones I’ve seen in quite some time. Also some stones I’ve never seen before which was great to see that were unique. I was happy being here and glad we stopped in. Super cute store and I highly recommend coming here. They didn’t have only stones either, lots of cute jewelry and other metaphysical items as well. You can find anything here. I would love to come back here someday! Thank you again to the cool girl working!

A charming and intriguing mix of a massage therapist and a spirituality and metaphysics boutique.I went there several weeks ago because I desperately needed a good massage from an excellent therapist, I absolutely got it.And besides their massage therapy the rest of the store is full of crystals, herbs, and similar wares. It had a wonderful selection of those goods.Overall I can highly recommend this place.

This place was great! I had gone to another PT place about 2 years ago and this was much better. The other place just told me what I had, showed me the exercises to do and just kinda went on monitoring the exercises. This place actually explained what I had and what causes it / what I need to target and do to help heal and really helped me understand and learn about the problem. Same with the exercises, explaining how they will help and the muscles being strengthened etc. They really make sure you understand everything that is going on instead of diagnosing you and giving you a sheet of exercises. Very friendly people as well. Definitely recommend.

I received an Akashic Records reading from Linda, which confirmed so many things for me! It let me know that I am on the right path. It was extremely therapeutic to receive information from my ancestors and guides. I felt so supported. I also got very emotional during one section about my parents. I was a little shocked that I started crying but it felt like bricks being lifted off of my shoulders. Linda was so kind, understanding and empathetic. At the end, she encouraged me to do inner work around particular things that came up in order to heal. I would definitely return back to Linda for future services. Her energy is very genuine and trusting.

I met Linda for the first time about a month ago. I could feel her calm energy from the moment we met. She spent the majority our time together cleansing my chakras and cutting several cords that were weighing me down. Her words meant a lot to me and resonated with how I had been feeling. Since our session I have felt much lighter and more positive. I feel much freer in general and able to focus easier. I look forward to meeting with her again, and would absolutely recommend her.

First time booking a session for an Akashic Record Reading, and I felt 100% satisfied. She was able to confirm some things that I already knew, but I also received new information that connected the dots to a lot of other things. I loved her energy and felt comfortable the whole time.

I received an in-person healing from Linda. Before my session, I was feeling tired, having a headache, and pain in my stomach and ankle. I felt a lot of tingly feelings throughout my body. When my chakras were activated, I felt warmth at the spot at first and eventually my whole body felt really hot. During the session, I pictured a waterfall as well as images of clouds passing by as if I was flying above the clouds. The experience was very relaxing overall. After the healing, my headache was gone and my whole body felt very light. I also felt very sleepy. I would definitely recommend Linda, as she was informative on what she was doing and helped me to understand the process better. It was a very pleasant experience as I felt very relaxed during and after the healing.

Linda helped me twice during the most challenging times offering her support, great energy and best advice. Without going into too much detail I just want to say that Linda is one of the most reliable specialists out there and can be trusted with most delicate matters. I’m so glad I came to her.
Tiffany L. rated 5 stars on 11/24/2019
I received a distance healing from Linda. Before the healing, I was feeling very anxious, in and out of sadness, a little depressed, overwhelmed, emotional, confused, and I felt as if I was out of control and out of touch with myself. At first, I saw myself crying, sad, frantic, confused. I felt myself getting more relaxed and calm as the healing went on for about 20 minutes. The heavy lump in my throat disappeared, the burning in my chest subsided (I envisioned fire). At one point I felt her energy around my arms and hands, tingly, and my hands went from clutching onto the edge of my blanket with stress to gently placed over my stomach. My legs suddenly felt cold and tingly at one point so I pulled the blanket over them. I saw myself as a natural healer suddenly, which I haven’t really thought about doing recently. I suddenly had an urge to heal people.I somehow felt she was done and woke up from my half sleep/half awake phase and curled up in a fetal position. I felt as if the lingering negative energy that I couldn’t shake off for the past few days was released from within me. I did not feel that heaviness or confusion anymore. I felt relaxed and calm. I noticed my reactions to everything afterwards was from a warm positive light whereas before I was very anxious. Linda’s detailed description of my healing from her perspective was astoundingly accurate and beautiful, and it helped show me what I need to work on internally.Since then I’ve received countless healing services from Linda which all left me feeling utterly and completely renewed. Her akashic records reading was spot on and gave me a lot of insights and clarity as to where I came from in past lives.I would recommend Linda to anyone who feels they need their energy to be cleansed and refreshed, and their chakras activated and balanced. Linda has given me several healings in the past, and I can definitely say that she is spiritually in-tuned, full of light and love, extremely empathetic, and her healing gift is growing more powerful everyday.

I had my Akashic Reading with Linda and I have to say she was beyond amazing. I felt a connection and she gave me clarity and a better insight into my past, present, and future timelines. Her guidance and support throughout my entire session was very helpful and I’m glad I got the opportunity to have Linda do this session with me. I am grateful for Linda and the love and light she brings to her sessions. My spiritual journey has been even more smooth sailing with her assistance. Thank you! -Reyna A.

I booked my first-ever energy healing session with Linda. For the past month, I have unconsciously invited in negative energy and have been vibrating so low that I have not been able to sleep at night. At the beginning of the session, I felt a bit nervous however, I then came into a calm and relaxed state during the session with Linda. She activated and healed my chakras, and identified where I had negative blockages and energetic cords, which were so accurate that I broke down. I could tell she was extremely intuitive and knowledgeable as she went through her notes from the session. At the end of the session she had me say out loud my affirmations, which I will now continue to do in order to feel grounded. I am so grateful that I was able to experience this healing session with Linda, as she was such a sweet and genuine soul. I recommend reaching out to Linda if you are in need of feeling centered and clearing out negative energy.

We are fortunate, in Lexington, to have so many wonderful exercise class options. A friend introduced me to Breathe, and to Scarlett Haley, when she was in between knee surgeries. I was new to Pilates, and, quite frankly, a little skeptical that it would be a “real workout.” I can’t quite convey the level of pain I was in after my first Pilates class…every muscle in my body (including several with which I was previously unacquainted) hurt. My eyebrows hurt. Yes, eyebrows can hurt. And that was the next day. I think my mind shut down the second day after that class, when even breathing hurt. I know I’m not making this sound very appealing, but, strangely, it was. Pilates is very low impact, but the level of workout you get is exceptional. The class I took was a reformer class, and I have since taken many more classes from Scarlett, who is so delightful that even when I would dearly love to slug her for suggesting a particularly tough set she somehow makes me laugh in spite of myself. I know this review is for the center – Breathe – and the center is lovely…very simple décor, clean and bright, and the equipment is excellent. I have not taken a yoga class here, though the yoga rooms I pass on the way to the torture chamber are all very inviting (seriously, why is there no shavasana after Pilates?), and the other instructors, and the owner, are all delightful people. Scarlett is the big draw here, for me; she has a background is physical rehabilitation, so she is excellent when working with the walking wounded, whether it be a minor discomfort or a major post-surgical condition. She is also a very competitive tennis player, so she knows firsthand how good body condition feels and how being fit will improve your game. Scarlett is inspiring (I actually want to do all of the terrible things she suggests I try) and she is very encouraging (even when there is no way I can get my body to do the thing she wants it to do). I have noticed a HUGE improvement in my flexibility, my core strength, and my muscle tone since starting Pilates with Scarlett, and I am proud to say that I am on a first-name basis with almost all of my muscles…or at least all of my muscles who are currently speaking to me.I highly recommend Breathe – and Scarlett Haley – for Pilates reformer classes. I always leave class feeling like I have truly accomplished something, and my spirits are lighter and my outlook is better after every class.

When it comes to peace of mind when I seek medical treatment, I’m pretty thorough. I was referred to Bluegrass Orthopaedics from Urgent Care. With X-rays in hand, I visited this location to figure out the ankle situation. Just know: social distancing and mask wearing were reinforced from check-in to being escorted to the exam rooms. My doctor was warm and had a great bedside manner. He reviewed the x-rays, my ankle, and gave me several treatment options. I could tell he loved his profession and it’s nice to see a smiling face (well his eyes were happy), too.

If I’m rating Dr. Schaeffer then my rating would be 5 stars. He did an excellent job with both shots for my knee and total knee replacement for my left knee…However, The doctor I had before Dr. Schaeffer wasted both my time and money with surgery on a knee that really needed replacement. AND one of the main reasons for my single star rating is their process for scheduling appointments and surgery. Multiple significant mistakes were made scheduling my surgery which were only corrected with me showing up at the office with no appointment. None of the people supporting the doctors for scheduling ever answer the phone. They expect the Customer to be available for them and never pick up when it is convenient for the Customer. They only return calls when it is convenient for them. Both Lexington Clinic and Baptist Health handle patient/Customer calls and scheduling much much better.

I’ve never had worse service with than I have with Dr. Harrod’s office. First, they tell me he only does 2nd opinions so I have my podiatrist refer me and send my records. Then I get an email saying to call. So I do. Says they don’t have my records yet and when they get them they will call. No call. I call them back. Now they say it will be 45 days! 45 DAYS! I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD.On the other hand, Dr. Christianson’s office is AMAZING!

“your hamstrings are too tight, work on your back and stomach muscles, and pray” -Dr. Hunt to my 50 year old mother who cannot move because her back pain is too unbearably severe that has ZERO quality of life. Just sends us on our way with no answers or solutions. I’m sure you can get better care from the panhandlers on the corner.

Really, REALLY disappointed in the service provided by this place. They reschedule appointments and don’t let anyone know. Many people drive long distance to get here for appointments, only to find it was moved without notification. Sandy, an employee, is very defensive about this and it is NOT OK. No accountability.
Nicole B. rated 1 stars on 2/20/2023
Came in with severe pain. Had bulging and herniated disk. Dr. Hunt spent 10 minutes with me. Looked at imaging a few minutes. Did not review other surgeons notes. Said pain was from old problem. Although, never had this problem before. Went from needed surgery too only a little PT. Was dismissive and acted like I was there to get money from injury. Kept saying this is from a wreck. Don’t go there if your black.
Kathy C. rated 5 stars on 8/24/2022
Very friendly staff and physician. Had partial knee replacement and it went great. Outpatient procedure. Everyone was beyond helpful and kind. I am having the other knee done in a week and having it done by the same physician.
Deborah M. rated 1 stars on 12/1/2022
If you ever find yourself at Bluegrass Orthopedic because of a knee injury, please, please, please seek a second opinion. Within five minutes of meeting the doctor at Bluegrass Orthopedic, he was recommending and we were scheduling a procedure for a meniscus tear. Within five minutes. Because my pain dissipated, I had the time to go somewhere else and discover that degenerative meniscus injuries are commonplace and not necessarily improved with surgery. This discussion never even began at Bluegrass Orthopedic. Be wary.
Michael K. rated 2 stars on 9/27/2021
The best surgeons in town. This is the place to go for hip or knee surgery. But look elsewhere for physical therapy or at least ask about your cost before deciding. To me, $538.98 for an hour of PT is excessive ($192 after insurance). My spouse experienced more attention in a better environment at other PT groups in town. And for much lower cost.Note this applies to therapy at their physical location. The in-home physical therapy visits were top notch at a fraction of the billed charges.

This place is not organized ! Making peopleWith broken legs wait in line first to get iPad to pay them- then again to turn iPad in! What!??? Madness – an admin should be bringing the iPads for registration out to those injuredOr it done before we arrive ! Very inconsiderate !!!

12/27/21 I came to this class for the first time. Unfortunately running late due to parking issues. Isabel was the coach and she was so helpful. The class had already started, it’s dark in the room with blue lights. Music is blasting with great beats to get you in the workout mood. There is only room for 15 max capacity, which is great for those that don’t like crowded gyms. It’s a class you have to sign up for, you can’t just show up and attend unless there’s someone that didn’t show up or was super late. It is an intense workout class, but in a great way. You’re testing your endurance on so many levels. I’ve never seen such a machine or ever tried one, but I loved it. They call it the, “sweat-Lana” which is funny to me being I’m Eastern European and Svetlana is one of my aunts’ name. Overall, a great studio and very reasonable pricing. Stop by and get your workout on, you won’t be disappointed.

Yesterday, I took the free community class at solidcore. While I’m not a regular Pilates participant, I’ve done it before and figured this would be a nice way to bounce back into a fitness routine since gyms have reopened in Kentucky. This ain’t your grandma’s Pilates class. It was Pilates meets boot camp. The music is loud (but good!), the instructor (drill sergeant?) talks through a microphone, and the room is dark with blue lights (the darkness was ideal, as I really didn’t need anyone to observe exactly how sweaty I was).Sweatlana is the name of the [solidcore] machine. She’s comparable to a Pilates reformer, but was really unlike anything I’d seen before. I particularly like the handles and found them to be easy for my arthritic hands to grip. I will also add that I cannot fully extend my legs or fingers, and I cannot bare weight on my wrists, but I was able to perform nearly every exercise with some small modifications. If I can do this, anyone can do this.I was EXHAUSTED after this workout. But I’m also incredibly proud that I survived. I might be hooked. Sweatlana, I’ll see you next Thursday.

I went to there intro class and won five classes, while the classes have been intense the instructors have been very welcoming. I would highly recommend trying a class, but with any fitness class, you have to try it for a week or two before really deciding.
Thien-Nam T. rated 5 stars on 2/3/2020
Awesome! The whole experience is very different than anything I’ve done. Signing up for a class starts online where you make an account, select a class, and pay. Next, a door code is emailed to you for access into the studio. Each session runs 50 minutes that focuses on a few muscle groups, but overall engages your core through isometric contraction exercises and slow reps of concentric/eccentric movements. The instructors lead you through each exercise and help motivate you through the intense 50 minutes. Everything is done on their machine and really tests your core muscles hence the company name. Overall, impeccable timing with their grand opening to keep those resolutions going and a great, high energy work out!

I tried out a Solid Core class with my coworker Mariya & her husband Bhav! I’m so glad they told me about it because I had been curious what the class would be like. It was extremely hard but a good challenge! It only took us a few days to not be sore from it–but if given the opportunity for a free class I would try it again for sure!

My new favorite fitness facility in Lexington. A really, really tough workout, but something about it is addicting. The coaches have a lot of patience with us new-comers, making sure that you understand the movements and have correct form. Coach David makes you feel especially welcome and included every time you enter the building. There is so much positivity and encouragement in this environment. Great place to be a part of. I’m so glad I gave it a try. You really push yourself to the limit, mentally and physically, and you will see yourself getting stronger every time!

This is a brand new club and the workout is awesome. They are offering training classes for their trainers and our trainer Kendall Norris was the best. Any one who is looking for a great workout with an unbelievable awesome trainer go to solidcore and ask for Kendall.

Love this place! Every instructor is amazing and I always leave with a sense of fulfillment. Vinyasa, yin, all forms are honored here! There is such a lovely warm room and the larger room is amazing too. If you are looking for a lovely place to start your practice or to build upon your practice (there are so many workshops that are open for people who have no experience throughout the month)!Parking is street parking or a lot across the street (there are some parking spots available in the lot, but it’s shared).

Very friendly group and great class. Although it was a little difficult to find, it was definitely worth the trip. The owner and the people who attended class went out of their way to welcome us even though we got there late.Thank you for your hospitality

Yoga has changed my life. I grew up playing competitive contact sports: hockey and lacrosse. As I’ve gotten older my hips, knees, ankles and shoulders have really given me problems. After completing my third session of yoga it felt like I was walking on clouds. I’ve slept better, felt more relaxed and have been able to be more active in other areas of my life. Wildfire Yoga is amazing! I can’t say enough great things about the instructors and atmosphere of the studio. If you’re already a yogi, or just starting, I highly recommending taking classes here.

I absolutely loved the class that I went to here at the studio. The teacher was excellent and had a great community feel with the other students and with the teacher. The class was challenging and there were a lot of different ability levels in the room, which is always great to see. I found the class really inspiring and if I lived in the area this would be my yoga studio of choice. Plus, they just change locations and it sounds like the new space is amazing.

What a great place to do yoga! I had not been practicing for way too long. The class was amazing. Erica was an awesome instructor, very skilled and patient while providing challenges and offering options throughout. It was a great class and so happy to get back to yoga. I will be back – a lot! Very cozy and comfy environment, not to mention they have all the props, mats, etc so you don’t have to worry about bringing anything! So nice!

This new studio in Lexington shares space with Breathe Pilates. The intimate environment has a welcoming vibe. The class I took @ Wildfire Yoga was taught by the studio owner, Kelli Gabat, who happens to be my yoga sister, and is a genuine teacher & human being. Kelli provides a well rounded practice & caters to all levels. Her passion & love for life and yoga is contagious & will spread like wildfire (no pun intended) to you if you come into her orbit. Namaste 5 stars!!!!
