I reached out to Aria because I was dealing with a lot of anxiety and uncertainty in my life. From the beginning, she made me feel calm. She explained to me her process and kept checking in to see how I was feeling. She had a very warm and welcoming personality and I immediately felt comfortable opening up to her. I felt so much better after speaking to her. I have to say that I was surprised by what she was able to pinpoint about what was going on and provided clarity for a future that I felt blind navigating through

I’ve met several top local psychics through the work that I do. Aria Norman is the only one I turn to when I need answers and direction around a sticky or confusing situation. I was drawn to her warmth, humor and down to earth manner. Her energy work is spot-on and her readings deliver helpful insights. To get a taste of Aria check out her lively and entertaining discussions on her Psychic Psybling program with her brother Jamie on Facebook.

I wanted to provide an updated review for my experience working with Aria! First & foremost I LOVE Aria! Not only did she assist me with my issue in 2020 which was very scary to me but she ALSO provided me with 1 on 1 Zoom classes teaching me how to be a better Psychic in 2022. When I first spoke with her In 2020 she was one of the first psychics I ever spoke to! She mentioned how I was GIFTED as well & would love to teach me. I didn’t take the offer seriously..I didn’t believe in myself at the time. But make no mistake!!! In 2022 after increasing my belief I found Aria again & messaged her because I felt really called to asking her for assistance on increasing/bettering my gifts. Being the WONDERFUL person she is, she gave me 1on1 Classes to improve my Psychic abilities. I am now working full time as a psychic. Thank you so much Aria for your assistance. I TRULY APPRECIATE YOU. YOU ARE AMAZING!!! YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED WORKING WITH HER! SHE IS A GREAT PSYCHIC & AMAZING TEACHER!

Aria has helped me beyond measure. Her calm, grounded approach makes me feel safe. Her readings are incredibly accurate and her healing energy work is quite powerful. I highly recommend her

I wanted to update my review due to the last line I wrote in the original. Aria is simply a “good bet” for anyone wanting a reading that produces results. She knows what she’s doing. She treats her business as a business. Which means, she understands people are counting on her to produce results in a professional manner (and much more). She is the real deal. I know that when I purchase a reading with her- I’m getting results that I can trust. There’s lots of people entering this field as of late. Aria has been doing this for years and years. So my advice- go with a pro(Aria). I get she’s not the “cheapest.” But honestly- I think it’s just a bad idea to shop for a psychic based on which one gives you the best deal (or free). Value based readings have their place. Some are fabulous. But if you’re like me- I want to KNOW that I’m getting quality and will absolutely pay for that. No one could charge higher prices if they weren’t sure of their abilities and have a client base that agrees. Like… a crappy lawyer can’t charge big bucks and expect to stay in business. Or maybe they could… but they’ll never build a fruitful, thriving business. Successful people get there because they are legit. I absolutely pick Aria and hope you do too

I started my call with Aria and i was anxious as hell, tightness all in my back, neck and shoulders. Aria understood everything I was looking to learn about, she was kind, sensitive to my needs and my anxiety… she delivered her answers confidently and was honest on everything she could feel and couldn’t. She worked so hard for me. She kept checking in with me too to make sure i was still interested in continuing. I can say, by the end of my call, I was so very relaxed, all my tension was GONE. I felt loose. For the first time in months. Just so relaxed, confident in my decisions, confident in what I was planning to do and all myGoals. I can’t believe it took my this long to find her. I am so so happy. Even now, the next day, I am putting things in MOTION. It’s amazing. I can’t recommend her enough.

Aria made me feel comfortable and answered questions concerning certain settings/populations I want to pursue in my career. She was able to channel my feelings and current pursuits regarding my career and point me in the right direction of clinics/hospitals that would be a good fit for me. She was also able to outline a bigger picture and suggest options that may help me on my path. Aria was able to pick up on some health issues I am currently experiencing and provided resources I could utilize in the future. Aria was able to portray and outline my intuitive nature and give real examples of situations I have experienced that provide evidence to that. Aria is great and I will definitely be using her services again soon!

Aria is an amazing reader. After speaking with her, the heaviness I felt dissipated. She revealed what my gifts are and gave me a starting point to begin a new path. Don’t hesitate to contact Aria as she is easy to talk to and she is on point with where you’re at. She told me things that resonate with where I’m at. I’m ready for my next reading!

Just wanted to update I’ve been talking to Aria for years and she is always very warm and provides such clarity on the situations I ask about. She has accurately predicted a number of things such as people coming back or leaving my life, job changes and inner obstacles. She is a great person to seek out if you’re having questions about a situation or needing some insight!!

I have been in contact with Aria for about a year and half. She is fantastic!! Called her before changing careers, and she helped me make the right choice. Booking with her is super easy as well. She gets right back to you right away and once you schedule, she calls at your appointed time right on time. The first appointment I made was a longer 30min phone appt. Sometimes if I am facing a challenge and want to contact her, I drop her an email and schedule a 15 min. which is usually done within the week. She is right on all the time. Aria will tell you exactly what you need to hear. Highly recommended. Super easy to book. Very Reasonable rates. Accurate and to the point. Will probably be checking in with her soon again.

Go see Brian! He will pull you back together with a plan. He is knowledgeable and personable. I was hesitant on where to go for PT. I called another place that seemed difficult on the phone so this was my second call. So glad it worked out!I am running again! Just a month ago I couldn’t go down stairs. And it is super safe for this Covid crazy time!

I feel mislead and lied to. Healthcare desperately needs regulation and controls to provide consumers visibility into the prices for healthcare services they hope to receive. I was not surprised when I looked under the hood to find ATI is private equity owned. The employees in Evanston are great, but when they tried to get visibility on how much visits would cost, it was an incredibly arduous process. When I finally received what I thought to be reasonable guidance, I proceeded but was told I wouldn’t know for sure the exact bill until weeks later. When I saw my bill, the sticker shock was terrifying. Had I known what some sessions would cost, I certainly would not have been able to afford and would not have sought service here. Perhaps this dynamic was in play from the beginning and is why they don’t make it easy to understand a general range of what service might cost. When I finally got on the phone with someone to discuss my bill, I was offered a 5% concession, then a 10% concession, then a 15% concession – rather than fixing my bill that was 200% higher than what I was led to believe. My heart breaks for others in similar situations and I hope healthcare gets the regulation and oversight it deserves to provide consumers with price visibility – especially for private equity owned businesses.

What can I say; they rock! The staff’s PT is truly focused on the muscle groups that need attention. And, everyone is so nice.

They charge $260 for an evaluation. That’s not for any care, work or anything beneficial, but $260 to see how flexible I am. Do not go here.

Last year I had a foot injury and a podiatrist suggested seeing Brian at ATI. Brian did a great job and helped me resolve this issue. By the time the therapy was done, I was back to pain free walking. He is a true professional and seems very dedicated to his practice and his patients. I’m very happy I was referred to ATI.

I posted a long review on the page for Athletico Evanston, but it’s mostly about my Physical Therapist. Since he moved to ATI Evanston, it’s only fitting that I should let Yelpers know that Brian So is the best PT around. If I need PT again (and fingers crossed that I don’t), I would follow Brian to ATI.
Virginia Q. rated 5 stars on 10/2/2019
I first went to ATI last November 2018 for 5 months after knee replacement surgery. Josh was my primary therapist, but I also worked extensively with Therese and Brian. The three of them were wonderful and worked very closely with me as I improved enough to be released. I returned to PT for other issues and I have been treated with just as well. They are warm, professional and care for their patients!
Meg D. rated 5 stars on 10/21/2016
Now, I’m not suggesting you go & injure yourself on purpose so you can have a 5-star PT experience too, but I am saying, if you find yourself in need of PT, this place is awesome squared! My doc referred me here for help with sciatic pain & the ATI team came to the rescue. I was a mess when I started & really concerned I wouldn’t even be able to go back to work. Little did I know my worry was for naught because Team ATI was on it! Being forced to exercise generally isn’t on my top 10 list of fun, but these guys make it WAY better than tolerable. They are a caring, kind, humorous & most importantly, skilled group of PTs & PTAs. I think I worked with everyone on staff during my 2 months there. They were all fantastic & I’m so grateful to each of them for helping me get back on my feet! So…if you’re in need of PT, limp on over to ATI on Davis & they will hook you up!P.S. If you’re worried about finding parking, no need. They validate for the garage in their building. Bonus
Paula F. rated 5 stars on 7/24/2020
I went to Brian So in November with severe post-surgical pain 6 months after I had a 2-disk cervical neck fusion. He transformed my life. After just a couple of visits, I was able to get off of opioids completely and after a couple of months with him, I’m very nearly at 0 pain. He’s really incredible! For neck pain, he’s the best! Also, I’ve been really comfortable with the safety precautions around COVID. Most of the time, I can find a slot with few or no other people, and they are being super-careful about equipment cleaning and masks.

First and foremost I don’t usually give reviews..However, this post was worthy of sharing. I was diagnosed having bilateral plantar fasciitis. With a great deal of pain as many may know that have endure this often injury. I went to PT at athletico Evanston IL the Chicago St. location. I was seen by Travis and one session with Victoria. The only thing I can say is…. “Thank You” for the diligent and professional work. It was well worth the drive 🙂 I came into athletico Evanston Chicago Street location hopping on one leg and left out after several sessions walking. I can’t say I am not completely done with PT I have just a few more weeks to go. It’s important to note every exercise I was given I implemented every exercise at home. As we all know PT is a team work effort. However, the first part of the team must be have a great captain or shall I say a great physical therapist. Shout out!!! to Athletico Evanston Illinois Chicago Street location Way to rock it out!

My physical therapy experience at Athletico Evanston-South was great. The entire staff creates a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. My therapist was Garrett. I can’t say enough positive things about him, but I will share a few of them in my review. Garrett is professional, caring, attentive, knowledgeable and just damn good at what he does. No matter how I felt when I arrived at my appointments, I always felt much better when I left. Under Garrett’s care, my neck, hips and back are stronger, which gives me a greater range of motion and significantly less pain. He created a custom home exercise program that has helped me continue to strengthen the targeted areas we worked on. Special thanks to Maggie, who also did a great job working with me.

I felt as if I received a more comprehensive exam at Athletico than I did with my orthopedic. Cato pushed me hard and in 4 short weeks I felt a dramatic improvement in my injured knee. I’m back running again and feel confident that my therapy was instrumental in getting me back on track with my health and fitness goals. Thank you!

Athletico’s location on Main Street in Evanston is terrific. We love the people who work there, the location, and the free parking in the indoor garage. My daughter’s physical therapist is Joanna who manages this location. She is such a wonderful person and has connected with my daughter from the beginning. Joanna and the others at this location work so seamlessly together. Whether it is greeting us, scheduling, answering questions, getting ice for after the session etc…, the whole staff is ready to help out. Joanna, in particular, has helped my daughter overcome her pain, pushed her when appropriate, and celebrated her successes. While this location is a little bit further away for us than other locations, we would definitely come back to the Main Street Athletico for its wonderful staff, easy parking, and great location.

Caring and thoughtful therapists work with you to reach a positive outcome. Jake evaluated my abilities at every session and tailored exercises to both challenge me and lead to success. Initially I was dismissive and thought therapy would be of very little help – and I was so wrong! Kudos to Jake and all the staff for helping me and for showing me how to go forward in dealing with pain.

I cannot day enough about Mel. My daughter in her teens with cancer had a terrible outcome with her surgery. Mel not only gave me peace of mind but he inspired me to hope and work towards more healing, more growing and more living. It was an extremely difficult time and Mel brought so much peace and stability to me that as hollow as I felt, I was filled up again. Momma strong and ready to fight ! Thank you Mel. I will always be grateful to you and love you. Haha even tho we are strangers. This man saw me and my family and guided me into PEACE. Who wants peace?! Go to Mel.

Wow, Mel was FANTASTIC. He started out my session by being friendly welcoming and he immediately went into details that no one would have known. He also connected with my grandmother who had a very important message for me regarding my personal life, and I was floored. I was even more compelled to write a review because each week, something new he predicted has come to light, some good, some challenging, but overall he has given me a sense of comfort and hope for the future. I’m crossing my fingers that the next prediction comes through soon, and knowing him it certainly will! I’m also excited to explore my own intuition and hope to stay in touch with him because there is so much to learn. Thank you so much 🙂

I have had the privilege of seeing Mel for over 2 years now and go to him every 3 months. The first time I ever met him, it was IMMEDIATE that he was able to HELP me with the most important issues of my life without me even needing to discuss them. Whether you are a skeptic or not, the first moment you meet him, you will know he truly has a gift that is unexplainable. Furthermore, I had gone to 7 different therapists in my time and ALL of them couldn’t help me with the situations I had going one. Mel was able to help me in just one session and this is why I continue to see him every 3 months. If he was closer to me, I would probably see him more! I am so grateful for his guidance in helping me make such important decisions in my life and don’t know what I would do without him! He’s been my therapist, my confidant, my guider and my friend. GRATEFUL!!!

I had a fabulous experience at this Athletico.Andrew’ was my therapist and he is the best therapist I’ve ever had. I have severe back pain so I spent close to 8!months. In that time span I got strong. Andrew was so patient.entertaining and pushed me appropriately. I can’t walk on my own. So I got this stand up walker and began walking at least 4 to 5 times a week a week and lost 50lbs and still going for it. I had a really positive experience and learned how to work with my pain. Athletico is the best and so is Andrew. The staff are compassionate and fun. Go for it.Don’t feel sorry for yourself. Get into action. No

Like others, I was very pleased with both my treatment here and the results. I deliberately waited several weeks prior to posting a review, to assess the longer term results. Nicholas was very professional, explained each step of the process, and answered even newbie questions kindly. The registration, appointment, and billing process was smooth as silk.I’m a geezer who’d like to stay active but an old shoulder injury had resulted in chronic pain that demanded OTC pain relief. My doc recommended a trial with PT prior to referral to an orthopaedist. Nick assessed the likely problem as tightness from constantly guarding the shoulder against the pain, and over a few weeks of strengthening and stretching, the problem diminished almost completely. [I did follow all his recommendations for exercises to do at home without fail.] Several weeks later, the problem hasn’t recurred and I’m now back to gentle resistance training, and recently laid a block patio and built a 12 foot gate across the driveway with nothing worse than sore muscles for a few days. Your mileage may vary, but I’d certainly recommend giving Nick and the other folks at this office a chance to examine and treat your issues.

Like others, I had a great experience at Athletico – Andersonville South. I hurt myself lifting during the summer of Covid. For months, I woke every morning with a painful, stiff neck. In early 2021, I finally decided to do something about it. Enter Athletico and its great staff. A few months later, my neck is much better and I have restful nights of sleep.Everyone at Athletico Andersonville South is friendly and knowledgeable. Frances will greet you at the door with a smile. All of the PTs and PT assistants are friendly and focused on your well-being. While I had a few different PTs, I worked mostly with Mike. I highly recommend both Mike and this Athletico location.

The entire staff is very friendly and helpful! I started PT after a lower back injury and Anna and Mike worked with me to make a personalized recovery plan. They’re patient and attentive, and I’ve made amazing progress. Highly recommend this place!

I highly recommend Athletico – Andersonville South! My back pain was somewhere in between ‘surgery not recommended’ and ‘standard treatment does not work’ and so I’ve had many other physical therapists and chiropractors in the past that told me there was nothing else they could do. I went to Athletico as a last effort and I am really glad I did! They never gave up on me, and now I live with very minimal to no pain. I worked with Mike specifically, but everyone there is wonderful from the other physical therapists to the aides. The at-home exercise plan Mike created for me helps me to stay pain free even now that I have ended my treatment there.

I had such a great experience at this Athletico location. The team is extremely professional, efficient, and kind. I worked with Gena for a knee injury. I went to her weekly for a couple months and she provided a progression of helpful exercises that ultimately left my knee feeling much better. She is obviously very knowledgeable and professional, creating a detailed and personalized plan to my injury. I also worked with Nick who is great as well! The team does a great job of knowledge sharing if you need to go in on a day where your regular PT is out. One of the things I really admire about this location is how efficient they are. With a busy schedule, this was very important for me. There is a regular rotation of warm up, analysis, exercises, and stretches that you follow with your physical therapist. They meet with a couple clients during the hour that you are there, but they do it in such an efficient and personalized manner. I never felt that Gena left my side, even when she was with other clients. She was always actively involved with my entire session. From conversation, it sounds like the team does continuous learning by attending workshops for new techniques and training. Appreciate that Athletico supports them in these activities. My favorite thing about the location was the staff. Gena was patient, kind, and friendly. It made therapy enjoyable meeting a friend every week. Also want to acknowledge the front desk and PT support stuff. They are incredible as well. The support staff is friendly as they help you with your exercises. Highly recommend this location if you need PT help.

My first experience with Athletico in 2006 was at the Andersonville-North location (5554 N Clark St). But when I pulled a muscle in my back most recently, I tried the 5033 N Clark location a few block South. Over the past decade the rising cost of healthcare have must have necessitated changes to how Athletico delivers out-patient physical therapy. Within that time frame Athletico also acquired numerous other PT chains, expanding their reach in Chicago and many other states. Between that expansion as well as rising costs in PT service delivery, the treatment I received at Athletico for my lower back muscle pain in 2016 was discernibly different than 2006. In 06, I was treated by a series of professionals from massage therapists to Doctors of Physical Therapy. Whatever the intervention, all services were delivered one on one in an atmosphere that was unrushed . In 2016, I was assigned to a very knowledgable and competent therapist . He was working within the parameters set by the corporate office. Biggest difference was that Athletico policy now has the therapists booked in time increments. On each of my visits, the therapists were frequently treating 2 patients simultaneously. Bottom line, my recent experience with Athletico felt more like an assembly line approach rather than individualized therapy. It is clear that in order to survive the changes in our healthcare system, outpatient orthopedic clinics will need to create value for patients in the services they provide, yet cut the costs. Its a major dilemma. Athletico has clearly requested that their Physical Therapists provide care and treatment modalities that are more efficient and cost effective. The key to being successful however, is service delivery without sacrificing the quality of the patient experience.

I’ve been seeing Lisa Meyerson for a few months now and I love how we click. She’s super personable and friendly. I’ve had over a dozen sessions with her and she has helped me overcome a host of issues I’ve struggled to deal with for a very long time like my insomnia and bronchitis. She’s also great at recommending supplements and herbs to help boost my immunity during this crazy winter season. I schedule with her when I’m dealing with a nagging problem or when I am in dire need of stress relief. Lisa has a knack for sensing these things and knows how to keep me calm to let me know that everything will be alright. At her facility, Lisa always takes her time to get to know her patients. You are a name and not a number. She cares about what you are going through not just physically, but mentally and tailors a personalized treatment plan on a holistic level. Every time I leave her facility, I feel at peace with myself, feeling relaxed and reinvigorated. Looking back, it was the best move I could make to enhance my overall health and well-being.I’ve experienced the following complementary treatments with my acupuncture like Gua Sha, Reiki and Electro acupuncture; all have helped me in some way to revitalize and restore my (Qi or Chi) energy. Not only is Lisa an experienced licensed acupuncturist but I also found out that she’s an astrologer! I own a few astrology books and was always interested in the field. A few weeks ago, I purchased an hour long personal natal chart reading from Lisa done on Zoom. It was truly an eye opening experience and she went into great detail about my personality and delved into the many planetary facets that make up who I am. My personalized reading also gave me insight into how the planets are going to affect me in the year ahead which I found to be very fascinating. Lastly, patient safety and health is the utmost concern at this time. She is very fastidious in keeping her treatment room sanitary and she requires all patients to wear a mask as she too wears one. Temperature screens are done at the entrance and the extra precautionary measures made me feel safe overall.Parking is plentiful in the free lot next door and her hours are accommodating to the 9-5 folk on select weekdays and weekends. I highly recommend her if you need acupuncture or if you are into astrology.

Lisa was a true gem to have as a provider during my last pregnancy with my third baby Harlow. I suffered from anxiety, some elevated blood pressures, and general fatigue during my third trimester. She was a calming force which in itself was very comforting. She treated all my symptoms and after one visit I saw results. Her holistic approach and knowledge on herbs also helped. Once I was closer to my due date, she did acupuncture for labor readiness and I don’t need to go into details, but my cervix listened! After I had my homebirth, she did a home visit which made things so convenient for me. I respect her so much as a clinician and healer and would recommend her to anyone curious about acupuncture and herbs. Thank you Lisa for your care! Harlow thanks you too.

I have seen Lisa in different capacities and want to say what a wonderful skilled practitioner she is. From the moment she greets you the feeling of warmth envelopes you as you can feel her intent to treat you and make you healthier. After she has completed the treatment I was feeling wonderful and full of peace. My mind-body-spirit couldn’t have asked for more. For anyone looking for a practitioner look no further. Lisa is amazing!

I became a client of Lisa’s at Pulling Down the Moon while preparing for IVF treatment. She is so warm, supportive and really cares for her clients! She was a big part of my IVF journey as she treated me before, during (she came to the facility with me to provide treatment immediately prior to and directly following the transfer) and after throughout my pregnancy. I really believe she is a big part of the reason we have our healthy baby boy. I recently went back to her for back pain and she was able to clear up my neck, shoulder and back pain in just two sessions. She is a miracle worker! She does cupping treatments as well and tailors each appointment to the needs of her client during that particular session. She’s advised me on herbal supplements, dietary changes, yoga, stretching, lifestyle . . . I am so thankful to have met her!

I went to see Lisa due to arthritic pain in my knee. I did not want to take medication if at all possible. She has worked with me and the pain has decreased and no medication has been needed. Added benefits was her ability to help with my snoring due to nasal congestion and to reduce my anxiety level so that I was able to get off one of my medications. She is thoughtful and caring and I enjoy my appointment times with her.

My 66-year-old mother was prescribed with statins (due to high blood pressure) and started having leg muscle pains. We stopped the medication yet she suffered with a new form of pain, which we thought was Piriformis Syndrome. We decided to see Dr. Sam because we didn’t want her to be in any medication again. On the first visit, she talked about “white blood pressure” and it all made sense to us that my mother did not need the statins in the first place. When at home, her blood pressure is always good. And only in doctor’s clinics does she feel stressed thus register high blood pressure everytime she sees a doctor!Dr. Sam treated my mother in 4 visits, explaining the big nerve and the muscles that are impacted by the exercises that she taught my mom. She not only healed her, she empowered my mother. I also appreciate that she truly listens. We could have been shunned for “reading too much in the internet”, but she never did that, in fact, she walks with us in the thought process of understanding my mom’s pain.

I initially went to the clinic because of really bad headaches. Physical therapy was not helping. The staff at Cornerstone were fabulous. They took the time to do a much more thorough assessment and I received in physical therapy. They gave me lots of exercises to do, and I went in for some manual therapy. Super helpful! No headaches anymore!

Visited with Cornerstone in November, 2022. Two appointments with two different doctors. Went in to relieve pain in hip joint area. Initial visit was mostly collecting information about my ailment with some treatment. That was $230. Had another appointment 10 days later as pain had gotten worse and I was walking with great difficulty. The second visit cost me $287.50. Both visits were out of pocket as Cornerstone was out of my network. Frankly, after the second visit I had more difficulty in walking than hen I arrived an hour earlier. Additionally, Dr. Fergus recommended that I make additional appointments AND purchase supplements through them designed to alleviate pain naturally. I have since followed up with IBJI and am now scheduled for hip replacement surgery. Neither doctor did a proper diagnosis and appeared to have no problem in running up my bill for services with explaining that each individual procedure was a separate charged item. I cannot recommend this group to anyone going forward as my experience with them was expensive, not properly diagnosed, and ultimately provided no relief.

Cornerstone’s team helped me overcome and heal a sports injury (I spent years dealing with prior to Cornerstone) through focused movements and performance training, shockwave therapy, and guiding me mentally through the recovery process. I was lucky to have such a great team!

Where do I start? Dr. Fergus is my shaman, or as he requested I qualify more accurately, my evidenced-based shaman. I’ve struggled with chronic lower back issues since I was 21 and I started seeing him at 46. I’ve seen many doctors, chiropractors, and physical therapists in that 25 year period and spent much time in bed or on the floor or taking muscle relaxers when my back “went out.” I came to my evidence-based shaman in January after 12 months of chronic pain. I couldn’t roll over in bed, it hurt to sneeze, putting on my pants was a drama. I had concluded I must just learn to live with this, after all it was a 25 year problem! He had me pain free with almost full mobility in 3 months. No joke! And I’m still feeling great 5 months later.Dr. Fergus knows his s!&t. I learned more about my body in my first assessment than I had from 25 years of seeing other professionals. His knowledge of the body and how everything is connected, literally, blows my mind! The first thing he blew my mind with… get ready… I was breathing incorrectly and diminishing my abdominal pressure which is essential to maintain in order to protect the spine. WTF??? I spent a month learning how to breathe correctly and then I spent two more months learning how to breathe and move correctly at the same time. There were lots of issues with lack of strength, etc… but breathing correctly was step one. I was taught from an early age to suck my tummy in. Little did I know that was the first step towards a life of back problems.I had to relearn basic functional movements as a life spent at a desk with minimal exercise had totally messed up what my body naturally wanted to do. My recovery phase was humbling, seriously. Learning how to breathe correctly, roll over, stand up from a chair…a little embarrassing. But who cares, it all paid off in the end!I made the decision to invest in my health to heal and now I’m making a serious investment in going to his strength building classes twice a week. I feel more educated about my body and I feel an optimism for the future that I’m forever grateful for as a year ago I was in a very different place. Now I can look forward to life and the adventures ahead knowing my body is fully capable of living a full life!

I am very pleased with the care and treatment I received from the team at Cornerstone Health in Evanston, IL. I had been dealing with chronic pain on my right side for over a year. It initially represented in my right hip, then migrated to my mid back by the shoulder blade, then moved to my right foot. I’d had surgery the year before and had some therapy afterward, but I just wasn’t where I wanted to be. I had aches and pains all the time and could barely move. I finally had enough and decided to find help. After a quick search of chiropractors in Evanston, I discovered Cornerstone. From the first exam, Dr. Fergus was very positive that I could benefit from treatment. I was less hopeful because I’d suffered so long and felt I’d be stuck with the chronic pain, but after just two months it’s a thing of the past and I’m feeling better than I have in two years! I worked with Dr. Samantha Syzska who is excellent at what she does. She is knowledgeable, professional and very personable. I also liked her holistic approach. She used a combination of techniques to address my issues and gave me exercises and tools I could use to help myself when my muscles tighten up. There’s also a physical trainer on sight, Denny, who helps with exercises and teaching proper form. I really like that they were all about helping me get better, not just keeping me as a client. I can always go back if I need an adjustment, but they really gave me the tools to recover. Now that I’m pain free, I’m exercising again, riding my bike and going to the gym regularly. My body is feeling stronger already and I’m on my way to achieving my fitness goals. I am so happy to be out of the funk I was in when I couldn’t move. Thanks Cornerstone team!PS. A shout out to Janelle who works at the front desk, she is also very nice and welcoming 🙂

What an odd experience I had at this clinic. I saw Dr. Ryan Wasilewski twice a week for five weeks, and I enjoyed working with him. We had a treatment plan in place, and, with his help, I was slowly but surely feeling better. Imagine my surprise when I called to reschedule one of my appointments and was told that Dr. Ryan no longer worked at the clinic. Apparently he had always planned on leaving at the end of the year, but he and the clinic director (Dr. Fergus) opted not to inform patients of the upcoming change. I was told I would see a new doctor now–but at three times the cost, because, oh by the way, the clinic didn’t take my insurance anymore either. It was abrupt and unexpected, at least for me. The office was ready to move on like it was nothing, but I was left feeling like my doctor had vanished in the middle of my treatment–no warning and no explanation. Truthfully, I liked working with Dr. Ryan, and it’s clear from the other reviews here that patients like Dr. Fergus, too. But the way Dr. Ryan and Dr. Fergus handled this transition was pretty terrible. I get that people switch jobs and move on, but a little heads up or even a proper two-second goodbye would have gone a long way. I know I’ll find another clinic I like, but what a frustrating way to end things.

My wife and I have both received much help from Cornerstone Health. Their holistic, non-invasive approach was something that appealed to and made sense to us. Dr. Fergus and his team were also great at explaining what they were doing and how their recommendations were intended to help us. We’re the type of people who don’t want the quick, one-size-fits-all type of treatment we’ve received at other clinics, and Cornerstone Health is exactly what we were looking for. MY WIFE’S EXPERIENCEShe went there first because she was having pain in her pelvic floor shortly following the delivery of our twins. After an examination that was more thorough and skillful than what I had expected, DR. FERGUS deduced that the issue wasn’t a pelvic floor injury, but rather a tear in the abdomen due to pregnancy that resulted in the pelvic floor overcompensating for the failing abdomen muscles. We were both impressed and relieved by how Dr. Fergus looked at the whole body as an interrelated set of parts, rather than only looking at the pelvic floor and considering what might be wrong there. He recommended a set of simple home exercises and taught my wife how to do them. She was diligent to follow through at home and it wasn’t long before she began experiencing relief! With the initial issue abated, Dr. Fergus asked if we wanted to focus on closing the gap in her abdomen. He told us that the next few months would be crucial. Cornerstone would be able to help my wife sustain a workout regiment to close the gap. Otherwise it was likely that our only options would be surgery or to not close the gap. We put our trust in Dr. Fergus and his team and in the past 5 months of going to the clinic twice a week and doing exercises at home, the gap in my wife’s abdomen has shrunk from 4 cm to 1.5cm! The top and bottom of the gap have already closed completely, so things are looking good. My wife is ecstatic that she won’t need to undergo surgery to get her body right after a rough pregnancy. Following the first few evaluations, the main physician she worked with is DENNY, who is a certified physical therapist. She has absolutely loved working with him and often comments how his supportive demeanor has been key to her being able to continue with them for so long. MY EXPERIENCEI was impressed with the thorough evaluation and treatment plan that Dr. Fergus outlined for my wife. I wanted help regarding lingering back and leg issues I was having. Dr. Fergus asked if I would be willing to work with Dr. Andrew, who was both skilled and had great bedside manner. He provided both treatment to my affected areas and gave me instruction regarding workouts to strengthen my back. Unfortunately, he has since left the practice to return home. On a separate occasion I came back to Cornerstone regarding stomach and back pain following a bout of food poisoning. Dr. Fergus diagnosed tight areas in my intestines and proceeded to provide treatment to loosen those areas. Doing so alleviated both my stomach pain and my back (which muscles were compensating for my ailing abdomen). He also taught me simple exercises to be able to loosen my abdomen muscles myself and recommended how many times and for how long I should do them. Both his treatments and my in-home exercises helped me to fully get over the issues I was having in a matter of weeks. For people who are curious to know what’s going on with their bodies and want to be proactive about being healed from pain and getting stronger, Cornerstone is the perfect place and Dr. Fergus, Dr. Szyska, and Denny are the perfect team.

I initially became a patient of Dr. Fergus in the winter of 2018. I have suffered from neck pain due to a cervical injury for many years. I have always had some level of constant pain, but during this time, I was having severe flare ups of excruciating pain that left me unable to even lift my head off the pillow. When I began working with Dr. Fergus, the first thing I noticed is that his office is clean and professional. A great first impression! The second thing that impressed me was his intake. It was very thorough and he gave me a clear direction on what treatment plan he thought would work best. And he did so without talking at me but rather with me, which made me feel like he valued my input.Soon enough, I started to feel better and better. I felt stronger and stronger. And Dr. Fergus knew that I was cautious and sometimes needed that gentle push to get to the next level of healing. He gave me exercises and “homework”, so to speak, which made me feel empowered! I could have control of my own healing! There were ups and downs in my healing process, as there usually is for most people, but even when I had occasional pain flare ups, I would walk out of his office feeling SIGNIFICANTLY better! After seeing 7 different chiropractors over the years, I’ve never had that experience! It was so awesome to finally have found someone who could help me to understand exactly what works for me!I can’t say enough about the level of care that Dr. Fergus has to offer. He is incredibly knowledgeable and always seeking more knowledge. His approach isn’t just about adjusting or manipulating, but he actually spends the time to create customized healing plans for you as an individual. I am so grateful to have discovered Cornerstone Health!

I’ve had nothing but positive experiences at Cornerstone Health in Evanston. I avoided seeing a chiropractor for over 5 years and thought I just had to live with my sciatic pain. After seeing Dr. Sam, everything changed and I regretted not going in sooner. I also participate in Foundational Fitness classes, which have helped restore my mobility, strength and functioning. Denny does an exceptional job at leading/teaching Foundational Fitness classes. I can work out without worrying about re-injuring because I know Denny is monitoring the movements and will make necessary corrections to prevent injury. Dr. Brett is great too! I’m so grateful for everyone at Cornerstone!

I LOVED coming to Andersonville Physical Therapy! The owner, front desk clerks and PTs were always so warm and welcoming and made my first experience at physical therapy a positive one!I worked with Gretchen both during pregnancy and postpartum for pelvic floor and core strength. I’m not the most coordinated person, but I feel super comfortable with her directions and guidance (of which I needed PLENTY of!). She was easy to talk to throughout sessions, which made the 45 minutes fly by. I could tell I was getting stronger, but hearing her say it with tangible evidence was the icing on the cake! It’s important to note that during the pandemic, I was also able to opt for in-person or virtual sessions, and liked both equally. I would HIGHLY recommend all pregnant women see a PT, and definitely Gretchen in particular. I’m so happy I did!

I can’t speak highly enough of Andersonville PT. It was easy to make an appointment, the staff is super professional, my bills and insurance claims were handled in a snap, and I got great recommendations for healing both at the gym AND at home. A huge shout out to my therapist, Erin Lenihan, who made it fun and easy!

Unfortunately, I cannot give a positive review. The physical therapists I saw were impatient and frustrated. One wouldn’t stop talking, lecturing me about things, prying into my personal life, rather than asking me questions and listening to me. At first I liked the intimate, independent small place, but I was sad that I had to find somewhere else for physical therapy.

Writing about medical care on Yelp seems odd to me, and yet, here I go. After dealing with years of neck spasms, back pain, and almost constant discomfort, I’ve tried almost everything to feel not terrible: muscle relaxers, chiropractor, acupuncture, naprapath, occasional yoga, fists full of Advil, heating pads, Tiger Balm, foam rollers, and physical therapy. My first pass at physical therapy at a major physical therapy chain helped a bit, but a year later, things were worse than ever. I heard Andersonville Physical Therapy was different, that it was better, and gave it a try. The level of care and knowledge provided to me by the team at Andersonville Physical Therapy is truly extraordinary. During my 6-ish weeks of treatment, I saw 3 outstanding therapists, but Annika was my main PT; she is incredible. Today, I have less pain, I’m much stronger, and most importantly: I know WHY I’ve had such issues in the past. The big-name physical therapy places see what you see: limited mobility & pain, and try to fix it with a mass approach: a heating pad, some exercises on your own, light massage work – it’s a machine. Andersonville PT asks why these things are happening to understand the root cause, and then develops a customized treatment plan for you specifically. All exercises are done 1:1 with a PT who watches & corrects your form to make sure the exercises actually help. (Big PT place didn’t do this for me!)Through office visits, some shared blog posts, and at home exercises, I finally understand that my upper back & neck issues stem from hyper-mobility, and what that means moving forward. I have a list of exercises and stretches to help correct a flare up with muscle spasms or tightness. Most importantly, I know what I need to do to keep strengthening small but weak muscles to continue to improve, and I know what types of exercises/activities to avoid or modify. Over the years, I’ve spent a lot of money on massages, chiropractic, acupuncture, and more. 6 weeks of visits at Andersonville Physical Therapy has had more impact than anything I’ve done. I could not be more grateful for the knowledge they’ve shared, and the strength Annika helped me build. These are smart, caring, and empowering physical therapists, and I wouldn’t recommend visiting anybody else. Thank you, Annika, Amanda, and Pat!!!

Normally I try not to shop for doctors on Yelp, but they were right in the neighborhood and in my network. But working with the PTs at this office has been great! I went in for chronic neck and shoulder issues that I’ve had for years. Five weeks in, my tension headaches have decreased, and I’ve been giving a variety of stretches/exercises to manage my muscle tension. While I didn’t mind chain places like ATI seeing 2-3 patients at once, the one-on-one attention at Andersonville is really lovely and makes a difference. I’ve mostly been working with Annika, but I’ve also met with Lily and Stephanie. They are all fantastic, and I personally like how each one has a slightly different approach. I really appreciate that the appointments run on time. If you try to book for the following week, sometimes it is a little tricky to find an appointment around my 9-5 job. But they are accommodating with the wait list, and when I book two or more weeks ahead of time I haven’t had any issues. Would definitely recommend Andersonville Physical Therapy to a friend!

I was sent here based on my primary care physicians referral. I walked in with a strained hamstring. The “therapist” diagnosed a back issue. I did the exercise she prescribed and wound up with a lower back in spasms and a left knee walking on jelly. When I complained , I got your issue is “trial and error and experimentation”. Trial and error and “experimentation” is good with crash test dummies, but not so great with humans in pain! And it sucks when “trial and error” destroys 8 years with of work hyper-extending knees. When I said “fix the issue you caused” the “therapist” decided to treat my hamstring (the initial problem) instead of the back issue she caused! When I wouldn’t agree to more “therapy” from her she couldn’t help me and said she needed experimentation to help me. Again, I am to be her crash test dummy? Did she NOT UNDERSTAND I’M NOT a crash test dummy OR her golden goose?!?!?!I walked out the door and will do what I can with the pain as best I can with Motrin until my Primary Care Physician can find me another therapis/tchiropracter/accupuncturistist.

I had such a great experience from start to finish with Andersonville Physical Therapy! From when Phyllis scheduled my body check, to when I met with Mariya Denisenko, you can tell this business cares about their community and wants to make sure they get the best care. Mariya settled my anxiety and answered all my questions, and I walked out feeling not only physically better because she patiently had me perform the stretches, but feeling better in all ways. She gave me a handout that included the changes we made during the consultation, so that I could continue to do the stretches at home. I will go back if I need to address any issues associated with what needed to be addressed during this visit, or if something new should pop up. I strongly encourage anyone to visit that wants to support local business and receive incredible attention, consideration and customer service!

This is a great place for physical therapy. My wife got an ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair on the same knee. We had been going to physical therapy at Illinois Bone and Joint in Lincolnwood and the therapies were never one on one and the therapist was either in a good mood or bad one. So luckily Andersonville Physical Therapy was close to home. With one session, we already noticed so much of a difference. They explained to her the right way to be walking (3 months at the other place and we didn’t even get that direction). They are pushing her a lot and she is getting back her confidence and movement in the knee. Besides having a packed a schedule, which can easily be resolved by scheduling sessions in advanced, I would highly recommend this location for any therapy needs.

The team at Andersonville Physical Therapy took in my tired and sore self last September, listened, examined, and worked with me to ensure I understood what ailed me and how I could help ensure that my body healed. I’m not a fan of stretching and exercise but I am a fan of living without pain. I am also a huge fan of this practice, and each person I worked with along the way. Go to a therapy chain if you want your insurance company stretched to its limitations but come to Andersonville Physical Therapy if you want to stretch yourself back to health.

I support local businesses in the Andersonville Community and thought this would be a great new place, where I would go to weekly for PT. I did give it a chance and attended Physical Therapy for a month, once a week. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a good fit for me. It was honestly a waste of my time. In each session, I spent 15 minutes talking to the PT, retelling my health issues and history and reason for being there. After that, the PT would bring me to a mat and show me how to do a stretch and then explain the benefit of “pelvic floor training” for another 15 minutes. After that she would tell me to “rest and take a break”, from the one single stretch. I “rested” for 15 minutes as the PT sitting beside me typed notes on her laptop. Then my session was over. Every 45 minute session was consistently the same. That was my experience. I really do hope I’m the only one that had this experience. I spent a year in PT at another facility and it my experience was outstanding. I went to the same facility, well, same name, but different location and saw a different PT. My experience was outstanding again. I’ll always be in PT for the rest of my life. Andersonville Physical Therapy was not a fit for me, but it certainly may be a great fit for others.

I went to Aimee at Skillz for tennis elbow and had a wonderful experience! The facility is clean, professional and actually enjoyable to go to. Aimee is obviously passionate about what she does and truly cares about her patients. She gave me at-home exercises to do between sessions and my tennis elbow improved very quickly! The other staff are super friendly as well, and I really appreciated Connie’s thorough review of insurance billing and helpful scheduling.

I am so happy I found them! The team all knew me by name even when I called. The space is clean and well organized. They run perfectly on schedule. No waiting around. The Physical Therapist is incredible. She listens to you and pays full attention to your needs, always explaining each question I asked and each procedure she is doing so I became very educated in my situation and how to address it for the future. The calm and kind and joyful atmosphere there is perfect. Even though I was being treated and working out I felt happy and calm. I can’t say enough good about the entire team and experience. I highly recommend them.

Great staff. Extremely friendly. Nice and clean. Amie explains everything, which I really appreciate. I live in the neighborhood and I am so glad I found out about Skillz Physical Therapy. I had my knee and femur removed due to bone cancer. Amie has helped me tremendously. Very friendly and professional. Never will go anywhere again for physical therapy. Hopefully I won’t need to. If I do it’s straight to Skillz.

I can’t say enough good things about Skillz Physical Therapy. Not only is Aime highly skilled and knowledgeable in the science of physical therapy, she is also intuitive and creative when designing plans for each of her patients. Add in her patience, compassion, and empathy and you have the complete package. Aime takes the time to get to know her patients. She designs plans that she confidently modifies to meet her patients’ needs. Aime is positive, calm, encouraging, and never rushes, which makes for a productive, non-judgmental environment. The best part of all? It’s all one-on-one. Aime gives her patients her undivided attention each session.

Skillz PT–Aime–(and Jannette), are exceptionally knowledgeable, professional, kind, and caring. It is a blessing to have Skillz in South Evanston as an incredible asset to the community. Aime takes an educated and empathetic approach to the healing process, is generous and invested in the attention she offers, and gives me faith for a full recovery as she assists me in progressing through the protocols effectively and gently. The resources she provides are priceless. I highly recommend the services and attention of Skillz!

Skillz is the best physical therapy practice in the city. I’ve been going only three sessions and Amy has given me my life back. My vertigo is almost gone and the year of pain I’ve had in my shoulder is 90% alleviated. Highly Highly recommended.

I highly recommend Aime at Skillz Therapy. She is the best!I started having chronic pain in my elbow for at least three months before I decided to make the decision to see a physical therapist. I waited that long because I felt that the problem would eventually go away. Before I started going to physical therapy, it was a constant dull pain that was exacerbated by working out and strength training.I consistently go to a chiropractor and they tried dry needling. They only did it once and that did not make much of a difference. My partner read about Skillz Physical Therapy in Patch, and he said it sounded legit. He started going and recommended it to me. Aime is very attentive to her clients. I learned a lot by going to PT at SKillz. Specifically, I learned that the consistent repetition of exercises as well as different therapies helped strengthen my muscles and assist with resolving my tennis elbow. I also learned that certain therapies, like dry needling, need to be done consistently in order to see results.I experienced a high-level of expertise on how physical therapy could help my chronic pain go away. Along with one-on-one attention for each PT session. My chronic pain is getting better, and I know it will eventually go away. It has helped a lot in my workouts and gives me confidence that I can get back to the gym more consistently. If someone is skeptical of PT, I would say just give it a chance and experience it yourself before you assume that it won’t work.

My experience has been fantastic. When my doctor ordered PT I wanted a facility close by with decent parking and skilled therapists. There were surprising waiting lists in Evanston so I read the reviews here and was able to get an appointment the next day. Aime is very skilled and caring and my pain has largely disappeared and my function has improved significantly in a relatively short period of time. I always feels that she gives me her undivided attention and she explains everything. She is understanding, patient and kind. After raising two children who participated in sports and dance as well as a few of my own course of therapies, I have a lot of experience with PT facilities and I think this was the best overall experience. The parking right outside and five minute drive from my house are additional bonuses. I highly recommend Skillz Physical Therapy.
