I was drawn to the store by the twinkling outside lights. I love beautiful lights! I enjoyed browsing and shopping. I had a fun, informative visit with Shay, who was pleasant and knowledgeable. I was satisfied with my purchase and the value.

Such a cute shop! I love that they have a robust selection of books in addition to crystals, smudge tools, tarot, jewelry, candles, and more! I popped in for a few minutes before a class I was taking nearby and I could have spent a lot more time there! The clerk was very friendly, telling me about sales and such. I’m sure she would have been knowledgeable had I asked specific questions. I look forward to stopping back in!

Overheard the owners discussing how there’s no such thing as cultural appropriation. Personal dealings with them left the impression that they are rude at the very least with some very bad vibes. They also never took safety precations for the pandemic.. not even at its height… I will never go back.

I drove pretty far to visit MagikCraft based on raving reviews from coworkers. I will say that the employees are all very friendly and helpful. They love their jobs and are proud to support other local businesses as well. There’s so much to see in this shop; it’s a bit tight, crowded, and overwhelming. However, I found some nice polished crystals and a spirit bear to add to my altar. I like this shop a lot because there’s no bad energy here and there’s so much to look at. From tumbled crystals to a large selection of tarot decks all the way to CBD products and honey jars, there’s something for everyone. I didn’t really like hearing an employee say that they cast a spell on the shop to boost sales, that felt icky. The other reason for not giving 5 stars is because this shop is very pricey. There’s raw crystals that are 3-4x the price of other competitors. I know stores need to make profit but it was unreasonably high. I’m glad I visited this shop but I definitely don’t think it’s worth the long drive.

This was a nice little store with friendly employees. I came here for my wife so I’m admittedly not the target demographic, but the store was clean with plenty of room to browse and a decent selection of goods. I only knock it a single star because many things seemed a little more expensive than other shops I’ve been to recently.

I’m going to acknowledge both Justin and Julie in this review. I went in looking for a particular crystal and got far more than I expected with Justin! He spent time helping me find additional items and offered amazing advice! Two separate times, I’ve interacted with Julie and she helped me pick out some great reading material and is always open for rich conversation! She is also extremely knowledgeable! For the sake of adding some balance, I won’t mention the third amazing person by name but he knows who he is! It was most certainly a pleasure meeting him as well and getting that life path number! The whole staff is amazing and I enjoy every visit to the fullest! Can’t wait to get a reading soon!

I have been to both stores a number of times. I was always greeted upon entering through the door. Lynn, Tom & Justen have been very helpful in assisting me in the store. They have a little bit of everything here. I was just there the other day and they have a new shipment of clothes and Happy Drums. If you are looking for something magical and mystical, maybe a gift or something for your nature. This is the place to come. They also have a store on 70. Friendly people in magical places.

A very lovely and enlightening shop! I have only visited this store a few times but each time I go I feel better than when I arrived. Shelly and Lynn (the owner) are so very insightful and helpful! Full of inspiration and guidance! (Those are the only two people I have met but I am sure the other employees are great as well) The store has a nice selection ranging from tarot cards, to crystals, to even cbd & delta 8! There’s a bit of everything in there! Definitely check it out, it’s a great place to start your spiritual journey and you will not be disappointed!
Cindy N. rated 5 stars on 1/4/2022
My SIL purchased a reading with Lynn for my birthday gift and I would have to say I am super impressed on how wonderful my reading was. It’s been over 10 years since I’ve had a reading done from anyone, but I truly believe Lynn is the real deal! She is so sweet, honest, and absolutely positive! She is not a faker/scammer like some. She also offers readings over FaceTime. She knows what she is doing and I would highly recommend her! Oh did I mention she also offers life coaching & classes?! Her shop is also very cute and has a wide range of crystals, sages, cards, etc. I will definitely be back!

I moved to the Durham, NC area (near Duke Hospital) in June of 2013. Upon arriving to this new area, my foremost concern was locating and establishing a fitness regiment that would continue to lead to a healthy lifestyle. I quickly became a member of the Duke gym (as my family and I have Duke affiliation), but I was having trouble finding a Pilates studio near-by. Then fortunately, with the help of previous Yelp users, I found Adeline at Bella Luna Studio! Thank you! Not only is Bella Luna Studio the closest Pilates studio (with Reformer, Cadillac, and other Pilates equipment) near Duke hospital, but also Adeline, the instructor, is both knowledgeable and amicable. Adeline has increased my core strength and flexibility; she has also aided in the rehabilitation(movement) of a previous, discarded, (stationary) clavicle injury that occurred several years ago. In conclusion, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Adeline at Bella Luna Pilates Studio! Receiving one-on-one instruction from Adeline is priceless! After every session, I feel better than I did upon arriving. Thank you, Adeline, for your continued expertise and help in improving my overall well-being!

Do you know when someone comes into your life just at the right time? When you feel like you are at the end of your rope? For me, that person was Adeline at Bella Luna Studio. If I could give her 100 stars on this review, I would. I am sorry for what will probably be a long review, but I cannot sing Adeline’s praises enough! When I found Adeline, I was in severe chronic pain and feeling hopeless. I was 3 months out of my second failed back surgery, at home with a two year old, and I had just discovered I was 5 weeks pregnant?!? I needed to get off all of my pain medications, get strong enough to carry a pregnancy, take care of my 2 year old at home, and get out of chronic pain- A tall order.I remember the first day I spoke to Adeline on the phone about my situation. It was the first time I felt like someone actually listened to how much pain I was in and how much I was struggling to get through my days. She gave me my first glimmer of hope, and to top it off, she called me a “warrior.” :)Throughout my pregnancy, I saw Adeline twice a week at her pilates studio. Her studio is quiet, peaceful and fully equipped with pilates machines.Adeline was the first person who taught me how to do real breath work and truly strengthen my inner “corset” muscles. I used to be an athlete, and I thought I knew a lot about strength training and crunches etc. However, I now realize I had no idea how activate or strengthen my inner core muscles correctly. She made sure I was using the proper technique during each individual session and the exercises were gentle enough that they did not increase my pain. Adeline taught me that I did not need to “pound my body into the ground” to get a workout. I could gently strengthen and stretch my way out of pain and back to physical health. Adeline coached me and cheered me on throughout my entire pregnancy. Not only did my pain gradually improve (with no medication), I was strong enough to deliver my daughter naturally after a previous c-section.Before Adeline, I had spent thousands of dollars on copays, coinsurance, physical therapy and prescription medication. I also tried acupuncture, massage, yoga and chiropractic work as well. Some of these things helped, but any relief I got was short-lived because I didn’t know how to sustain it. My physical therapists gave me lots ice and handouts on exercises to do, but I wasn’t doing them right at home. Adeline was the first one to teach me how to walk, stand, sit and be strong in my body throughout the day. I finally learned how to activate my core and tighten the muscles near my spine that keep me out of pain.It has been two years since I began seeing Adeline, and I continue to train with her once a week. She has been a true investment in my health. Adeline’s incredible compassion, knowledge and the ability to educate make her the best pilates instructor around. She is a healer and will help you reach whatever goals you have.My improvement in my pain, my overall health, and my ability to care for my two children is a direct result of my work with Adeline. I cannot thank her enough for helping me through such a difficult time and keeping me strong. I feel so grateful for her, and I give her my highest recommendation, 100 stars!!!!
leilani J. rated 5 stars on 7/1/2010
Adeline Sussman of Bella Luna Pilates Studio is simply the best by far of the many Pilates instructors I have worked with. I made more progress working with her for a few short months than all the work i had done previously combined. My friends ask me how I lost the weight, and the truth is I haven’t, I just look like I did. Adeline knows how to get to the heart of the matter, and meet you where you are, even if you have never done Pilates before. Everyone I have sent to her tells me the same.
Sarah h. rated 5 stars on 1/23/2012
Adeline is more that the regular Pilates instructor: she is an educator. Bella Luna is a beautiful and serene studio where you get real private instruction–there are not 5 other instructors with 5 other students. If you are a person who likes privacy while you work at deeper levels, she is the perfect teacher for you. In an industry with so many choices, Adeline’s years of experience and her gentle, loving spirit is a breath of fresh air. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Led by Misty Pidgeon, an accomplished PT with more than 3 decades of experience. We are known for helping you get results that you haven’t been able to reach with a primary care doctor or chain PT practices. I have had experience twice with NC Center for Physical Therapy. Both experiences were excellent.First, I had plantar Fasciitis a Podiatrist recommended surgery. I decided to give PT a try 1st, I was in pretty bad shape it took about 6 months of treatment but no surgery and no more pain. They did an excellent job2nd incident the ball of both my feet had all numbness no feeling at all. I went back to NC Physical therapy three months later my feet are near normal. This is a great place for PT and to note the owner and the staff are extremely nice, respectful and knowledgeable.I would recommend them.

I turned to NCCPT prior to seeing my MD for knee rehab, from an unresolved pickleball injury (3 months). Everything from scheduling, billing, home program was top notch. I was able to keep up with my home program via a web-based portal which assisted me in remembering both my current and updated therapeutic exercises. My knee got better quickly and areas of weakness and imbalance were identified and targeted. When my knee just couldn’t get past 90% pain-free, Misty recommended I see a MD/PA for a potential injection. She was RIGHT! That Misty didn’t hesitate to refer me to another professional when deemed medically necessary impressed me. My knee has been 100% pain-free for 1 month now, and I am so grateful.

Dr. Laura was excellent. She is one of the best clinicians I have ever worked with. She was an excellent listener and was able to figure out what I needed to reduce my pain and increase my shoulder and neck mobility. I wish all my doctors were as good as her. On top of that, the staff was all really friendly, experienced, and efficient. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I rarely had to wait more than a few minutes. I highly recommend NC Center for Physical Therapy.

From the moment I walked through the door, the staff was welcoming and helpful. While working with Kyle on post pregnancy back issues, he made sure I understood each exercise and didn’t rush me at any point. There was also access to a great app for directions to do exercises at home. Overall, my experience was amazing and I appreciate the help to get me back to myself.

I never thought I’d say this… But I have full range of motion of my shoulders! Not without pain (yet), but I haven’t been able to hardly use my shoulders at all for almost 11 years… I even did six months of physical therapy in 2012 with very little improvement. I was told I likely needed surgery and have been waiting to be able to afford it. I went to see the ortho this year and she wanted to try physical therapy one more time… I’ve been working on my shoulders for under a month and I can finally say that I will have full use of them soon!!When I went in, I could barely lift my arms straight out to the sides (I could *almost* do a t shape).. today I can go all the way up and touch my hands together! I can also go all the way up in front! It’s completely amazing and I never thought I’d be able to use my arms completely again. For anyone near Durham.. NC Center for Physical Therapy is amazing. I keep tearing up when I talk about it.. eleven years.. finally!!

I have been to NC Center for Physical Therapy a couple times and both experiences were great. For the most recent visit I worked with Kyle Edwards and he was awesome. He quickly found the reason for my hip pain and gave me several exercises to do at home. I also did several weeks in office and I always felt very safe from any Covid scares. Each visit Kyle listened to how I was feeling, and made sure I was doing all of the exercises correctly. If I ever experience any type of pain again, I will certainly do my PT here.
Patti P. rated 5 stars on 9/19/2018
I’ve got a long history of joint problems and replacements, and have had years if physical therapy. Misty and her team are the first PTs who’ve treated me as an individual instead of just another person with a new knee. Instead of rote, standard treatment, the exercises and modalities used at this practice vary based on my abilities and pain during a visit. I’ve given them a 5 star review because they are far and away the best PTs I’ve ever had.
S C. rated 5 stars on 12/1/2018
I picked out this physical therapy center because it had the highest ratings online compared to other centers, and those ratings did not lie. When I first walked in, everyone who noticed me greeted me, which was a pattern that continued for every one of my appointments. You can feel and see the sincerely close relationships everyone who works there has with each other. It helped me feel comfortable to ask anyone a question about my form or progress. Colten was my physical therapist, and I recommend him to anyone. He’s so knowledgeable and understanding, and always came up with new variations to make exercises fun and engaging, yet still effective for treatment. When I came in for appointments, it was never a dull moment. It didn’t feel like an average, boring session of “great now I have to work out for 45 minutes so my back will hopefully stop hurting.” I genuinely had fun at my appointments and was always excited to come every week to see friendly faces and learn new techniques to use in my own time to diminish my pain. And now that I have “graduated” from physical therapy and my pain has diminished, I feel grateful that I learned how to take care of my body and practice proper exercise form from Colten and the NC Center for Physical Therapy team. I have not a doubt in my mind about which physical therapy center I’ll go to in the event I need physical therapy again.Thank you for reading and hope you make the right choice when seeking out a place for physical therapy.Sara

Absolutely top notch! Beth is a terrific physical therapist – she’s very kind and very knowledgeable. Professionalism from the minute that you walk in the door. Front desk ladies are very friendly, they handled my health insurance seamlessly, and of course, Beth is the best part about visiting here.In just a few visits so far, she has significantly helped lower back pain that has plagued me for two decades (yes, twenty years). After three useless chiropractors failed to help me after charging me highway robbery, I’ve discovered that PT is the way to go! Highly recommend this office.

After many injuries and being through many therapist Allied Rehab has been great. I have the pleasure of being treated by a wonderful women named Jen who so happens to be the same person that assisted my wife several years ago. Jen is kind and truly cares about her patients needs. If ever there was a person that that was as challenging as myself I believe Jen could break the barriers and help them get better. Now my back has not fully healed to 100% and May never get there but Jen has helped me cope and exercise to a point that I can carry my load a lot better.

Horrible experience with so called owner! The front desk staff have been disorganized with scheduling my child who is on a tight schedule everyday. Tried to speak with the so called “owner” and she was the most arrogant obnoxious person I’ve ever spoken to in a place of business! Tried to explain to her my 4 year (whom I pull out of school to attend therapy) was not able to physically get in the building after I drove 20 mins to get there! It’s obvious he wasn’t feeling well!! She proceeded to berate me as a mother over the phone instead of offering how she or her staff could help! Sessions always started 10 mins late as my child waited to be seen! So essentially he was getting 15-20 min speech sessions instead of the 30 he was approved for!! Stay away if you have children whom have challenges!!!

I have been going to Allied Rehab after having a stroke. Initially, I had no movement or mobility of my left arm. With the guidance, patience, and expertise of Cindy I now have functional movement of the arm and I am regaining strength and muscle. I cannot express how the quality of my life has improved. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to go here. Everyone has always been nice and kind. If any of their services are needed you can count on them for the support and help needed to improve your situation. It’s sad that there is a need for the service they provide, but it a blessing that they are there if needed.

I’m usually the person who joins a gym, or an exercise class, and then keeps finding excuses not to go!! That all changed when I started working with Caitlin at Alexander Pilates. The studio itself is in a little cottage nestled in the woods, it is warm and homey and doesn’t feel ‘gym like’, good news for someone like me!! That’s not to say that the private classes with Caitlin aren’t focused, challenging, and fun! Yes, fun!Caitlin knows how to find the balance between no nonsense and letting me be me. She pushes just enough that I feel it the next day but I’m not in pain. I get exercises to do at home, and she is really encouraging and non-judgmental. Even the days I don’t want to go I end up being happy that I went. I highly recommend the studio and especially the wonderful Caitlin!Oh, and there’s TONS of parking on site!!

I can’t recommend Diana enough as a Pilates instructor. I really respond to her mix of sweetness and ability to challenge me. I leave every session with a smile on my face, feeling lighter and for me with my history of depression and anxiety, mixed with a hatred of exercise, that’s a big deal!!!

I have so far completed 2 private sessions with Heather, and each time have been blown away by her expertise. I am a Pilates instructor (though fairly new to the game), but had never taken a “classical” style Pilates class, so signed up for 2 privates with Heather to check it out. It is evident that she is a true master of the exercises- she thoughtfully selected and modified each exercise according to my body’s needs, identifying areas to improve and offering precise cues to gently correct my form. Heather also let me know about specific exercises that I could do on my own at home to work on particular weaknesses. Both sessions felt like a combination of physical therapy & Pilates, which was just what I needed.

Heather is the best Pilates instructor I’ve ever encountered. I took her group class and I’ve never felt stronger. When I slipped a disc in my low back, doing Pilates with Heather was the absolute best thing I did; it made a huge difference in my recovery. So, when I became pregnant, I went to Alexander Pilates and she was WONDERFUL – she tailored her sessions to be exactly what I needed and kept me moving and strong throughout. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

We have been doing privates for Pilates and I still feel great at 5 months pregnant. I have scoliosis and get lots of back pain when pregnant and since I have been going it is completely gone. Not sure how I will survive when I go on vacation.

Just moved from the area and this review is long overdue. Had an injured bicep from weight lifting and elbow pain from work (mouse clicking!). Dealt with both for years and was only able to go to the gym for 4-8 weeks before pain would stop me. Finally, following other recommendations I made an appointment w/ Bull City and while the diagnosis of the elbow conflicted with what a doctor had previously told me I decided to just go with it and trust them. Turns out they had a much better understanding than previous medical professionals I’d seen. Through treatment and the exercises they gave me to do, which were different than doctors recommendations in the past, I actually saw steady improvement. There were setbacks here and there as I pushed myself in the gym but their physical therapists guided me on “good pain” vs “bad pain” and we adjusted as we went. Now through weeks of sessions with the team at Bull City PT I’m on month 10 of lifting and have put on 20+ pounds of mostly muscle. I didn’t think this was possible without surgery. Highly recommend anyone in pain or being held back by an injury at least get a consultation – could change everything.

Colten is an excellent, personable PT with extensive knowledge of musculoskeletal disorders. He is attentive to changes in symptoms and makes changes to your plan of care accordingly. His manual therapy skills are exceptional, to include dry needling. I’m picky about my PTs, and he ranks right up there. Love having the ability to schedule evening visits.

Colten is great! Easy to get along with and an exceptional therapist. He helped reduce my back pain, and has taught me how to manage symptoms if they begin to return.I feel like I am back in control of my body and my life because of him!

Colten is the real deal! He is a fantastic listener, very smart, and provides a personalized experience. I was looking for a PT that comprehends the impact of a bilateral mastectomy and breast reconstruction on the body/muscles; Colten IS that person as he pleasantly surprised me with his vast knowledge. He is professional and thorough, and I will be recommending him to anyone I know that would benefit from physical therapy!

I’ve been working for over a year with Colten Sullivan, the owner of Bull City Physical Therapy to manage various issues. He’s highly talented and provides personalized care. He’s the best PT I’ve ever worked with – and I’ve worked with many. I highly recommend him to anyone needing physical therapy.

Went here for a full evaluation after numerous recommendations for knee surgery. After multiple tests and measurements Colten formulated a plan of action to improve my knee. I would highly recommend this PT place to anyone looking for relief. Colten spent plenty of time analyzing and figuring out the best treatment for my injury! I no longer need surgery and feel better than I did 10 years ago!

FlowCORPS is by far the best high energy, sweat inducing, fun, music driven class I have ever taken! The studio is so clean and the instructors are very welcoming and ensure you know what you are doing. Walking in the studio could be intimidating to someone who has never worked out before on a reformer or xformer machine, but each instructor works diligently to make the class fun while also ensuring you are safe and feel confident in your workout. I have been coming here since May and have completely fallen in love with the workout! Make sure to take Nicole, Cheryl or Amanda’s class, you won’t be disappointed. They offer 45 minute or 60 minute workouts. Good to know, you have to have “sticky socks” for this machine so you don’t slip and hurt yourself. They sell them or you can bring your own.

I’ve finally found a fitness studio that addresses my various physical issues (ie. Knee, back and postpartum ab separation) and gives me the high intensity exercise I want in a low impact way. I’ve turned to pilates and yoga for years to help address my injuries but I was missing that cardio and strength training component…here we have what I consider a souped-up version of your standard pilates class. The xformer is like a fancier pilates reformer with a few more bells and whistles and the classes give you a full body workout with more resistance training than your typical pilates class. I recommend taking their free intro to xformer class offered on Fridays before your first class so you understand the cues and equipment in class (it seriously helps but still expect to look around trying to understand the instructor in the first few classes). If you’ve never heard of or practiced “Controlled muscle failure” – be prepared. You’ll go at it slow and controlled with small pulses and full range movements that let me tell you – will make your glutes and legs B-U-R-N in the hardest, shakiest and yet most satisfying way. Sometimes you’ll get directed to a few cardio bursts but mainly you’ll find yourself going through different blocks focused on your center core and glutes. Think you’ve done planks…think again! This class will re-introduce the best method of activating your core without dragging your low back into it. Having trouble firing your booty cheeks?? No worries, you’ll be consistently reminded to keep your hinge (The HINGE is crucial) to keep that fire burning exactly where it is supposed to be.This isn’t a class for the faint of heart… you will struggle, you will need to take breaks (which they celebrate) and you will see a major difference in a short amount of time if you’re consistent with it. I found this place at 5 months postpartum and it helped me get back in shape in a matter of weeks. But I was consistently going 3 to 4 times a week, errrr week so don’t expect a quick fix without putting in the work. Can you tell I’m a fan? Oh yes – I love the class, I love the instructors and I love that Nicole (the owner) personally texted me after my first class to check in and offer support and assistance when I expressed my hesitancy with working out again due to my injuries. I highly recommend!! Oh and one last tip… opt in on the headsets – you’ll be able to hear the music and instructor so much better and they don’t really get in the way as I first expected. Enjoy!!

Love this place! Cheryl and Kyle are two of my favorite instructors – always so kind, helpful, and energetic! I feel like I never get the same workout (in a good way) and work muscles/body areas that don’t get much attention otherwise.
