Nicely made Pilates equipment!!!! I tried a reformer and wunda chair at AOC in Stanford Connecticut. The equipment was built to spec and well crafted.

Tried one class yesterday’s but super disappointed 🙁 I’ve been going to pilates studio in west Los Angele for a year now so I’m pretty used to very intense total body work out on the machine. Yesterday class we were basically just stretching out on the reformer, It even did not get my heart rate up for a minute 🙁 I know the machine back in LA they were using is called mega reformer which is different from the one they are using. I just don’t think it’s right that they charge $30 dollars (same rate as in Beverly Hills) for an extremely COMFORTABLE workout. I’m so sad there is no lagree pilates in UIUC area 🙁 Btw the instructor Sarah Blood is very nice though, she is welcoming and corrected my posture.

It has been 4 months since my first Pilates session at Dulak Pilates. I have always wanted to try it for years now and finally I said to myself its now or never. I chose Dulak Pilates because of its well known reputation in town as having the best instructors and a wonderful studio. Kelly is a stellar instructor. There isnt enough adjectives to describe how marvelous she is. She pushes me out of my comfort zone and believe I can do more than I thought I could. My body and mind is changing for the better. After just a few sessions with Kelly, I began to trust in her guidance completely. I feel exhilarated by the challenges in every session. Kelly is a body reader. She has the ability to sense if my muscles is working or not. If it doesn’t (sometimes due to me not working hard enough) she would find ways to modify the exercise so I can feel the muscles Im supposed to be working on. She would often modify the exercise to fit my petite frame or my strained neck muscles. I learn to not short change myself and just tell her if I don’t feel the mind-body connection working. I also learn that I better do it right and not cheat so she doesnt make me redo them (ahem the hug, the one hundred, the teasers, the elephant, the obliques twist and reach). Im pretty sure they will never get easier. Pilates always have a way to make one feel very humble. After a session a week with Kelly, I feel everything! every small intrinsic muscles has been fine tuned (my triceps, biceps, the abs to the obliques to the inner thighs and the glutes to even the back of the legs). I drive an hour once a week to Dulak Pilates Center to take my lesson. I might hate the drive but I have never ever regret a pilates session with Kelly. I walk out of the studio glad that I came, glad I gave it my all and glad that Kelly is my instructor who help me to strengthen not only my powerhouse but also my mental toughness. When I thought I couldn’t hold my power house or squeeze my inner thighs any longer, Kelly would tell me to do it one more time. Thank you Kelly for teaching me that my body and mind are limitless and that I am capable of exceeding my own limit. Thank you for educating me about the biomechanics of human movement, and the importance of taking care of the body especially the core, the spine and all the joints. Thank you Kelly for your patience with me and for your passion for teaching. I recommend taking classes from Dulak Pilates Center because of their high quality instructors. I can attest that not only Kelly has a comprehensive educational training but she has also put in countless hours and energy to become a competent qualified teacher. Pilates is all about the integration and coordination of mind, body and spirit. Try it for yourself! You will fall in love with it like I did! The studio is running an offer for Saturday morning reformer classes for only $30 per class!!!. My only regret is that I wish I had taken Pilates sooner when I used to live in town! I would so go every day.

Pilates is a terrific exercise system. The Dulak Pilates Center is a terrific place to learn this way of exercising the body. The trainers are incredibly well-trained in the most authoritative Pilates routines and so aware of each person’s weaknesses and strengths. The studio is warm and welcoming with excellent equipment. Being a student there has changed my life!

I’ve worked with the teachers here for eight years — and they have helped enormously with various back and neck and should problems I’ve had. I’m much stronger and more secure in my body than I was 10 years ago, Pilates not only makes you look and feel good, it is great physical therapy. These teachers are very precise and careful — highly recommended.

I’m not sure how I was referred to the Mettler Center after a serious wrist fracture, but however it happened, I can assuredly say: Mettler Therapy is as good as it gets. After a broken wrist injury, Jeff Schroder spent countless hours rehabilitating and strengthening my entire arm – which had not only atrophied due to the immobilization during healing, but was also laced with scar tissue. That was back in 2002.Almost 10 years later my wrist still has FULL RANGE OF MOTION. I have honestly not had one single recurring pain after completing my detailed PT program at the Mettler Center, and owe it all to the talents of the founder and his team of therapists, and the brilliant Mettler Release Technique.Pain free full range of motion is important to anyone who has experienced an injury, but as a piano player, it is even more so! Jeff, you probably don’t remember me, but I will always remember you for your dedication and honest concern for my well being, and for helping to restore my wrist to as good as new condition! Many thanks!

Very happy with my recent experience here. I got a 1 hour massage and can honestly say it was one of the best I’ve had. Was happy with covid precautions being taken. I will definitely be making appts in the future!
B V. rated 5 stars on 2/8/2012
This place is nice, always busy (its also a gym), the therapists are friendly, listen well, joke around with you, but really know their stuff. The Mettler Release Technique is freaking magical. I have adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder) and had surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff which may well have caused or contributed to it, and Jeff (mentioned in the review above) decided to give MRT a try. The effects were immediate; keep in mind this shoulder had been affected for two+ years, and suddenly after only a few minutes of manipulation I was able to move it further than I’d been able to before with much much much less pain, and this improvement didn’t go away after a few hours as it often did with conventional massage. I would strongly recommend anyone with mobility issues due to scar tissue who is considering surgical intervention to at least try this first. I was a complete skeptic going in. I’m writing Paul Mettler a fan letter now.

My first experience with physical therapy was at this location, and it definitely left a positive impression! The staff was always very welcoming and accommodating even with my busy schedule. The facility was clean and staff members always wiped down equipment in between patients’ sessions. I am so thankful to have worked with Marcus during my time at Athletico because of how friendly and knowledgable he is! With his help, I was able to fully recover from my injury. Now I know some easy stretches I can do at home to if it were to bother me in the future. My positive experience here actually led me to encourage my mom to consider going to PT. Anyways, I highly recommend this location, especially working with Marcus!

Zaid J. rated 5 stars on 9/21/2016
I’m 26 years old, and recently started having some serious back pain issues and woke up one day where I was completely stiff and couldn’t move my neck in any direction or sit down without immense pain, had to remain standing. I went to see Dr. Alexander the next day per recommendation from a coworker. In the consultation appointment itself, they took x-rays from all sides, Doc examined them and felt all the vertebrae in my spine individually. Found out that I had misalignments going right then left in both my neck and lower back, and multiple nerves were being pinched, causing my shooting pain and numbness and muscle stiffness. He asked if I was okay with getting an adjustment in that initial appointment, I gave consent, and two popping noises in my neck later, I was able to sit again without pain. I had quite a few issues, he put me on a plan for 4-6 weeks with 2-3 appointments each week to monitor the movement range of my spine and make adjustments and perform electrotherapy as needed. It’s been 3 weeks and I’m back to jogging, stretching, light workouts again. His staff is knowledgeable and very pleasant and the services are quite affordable as well. I highly recommend Alexander Chiropractic. P.S. I went to Carle Hospital in Urbana the same day as my consultation appointment here, to get a second opinion. Got a remarkably different and innacurate diagnosis there stating that I had to choose either upper back or lower back because they wouldn’t address both in one appointment, then stating I had no spinal issues at all (without doing x-rays or checking my spine by hand) and that it was surely all muscular and required injections to lessen the muscle stiffness, followed by physical therapy. But had I done that, it might’ve temporarily dulled my pain, but never addressed it, and I would have to keep getting the injections and having no treatment for the cause of the pain.

I got in with Dr. Alexander and let me just tell you by the time I was walking out the doors after red light therapy done on my sinuses and an adjustment I’m back to myself and feeling so much better, all it took was 10 minutes ppl!! Stop the medicines and go see a fab chiropractor like Dr. Alexander you work magic, Thanks again. 5+ star staff very friendly too!

Hands down the best chiropractor around. Dr. Alexander has provided care to my entire family for years. I had seen multiple chiropractors before him, but none other since. I have recommended him to many others as well. Those that took my advice, also remain loyal patients. Dr. Alexander truly cares about his patients and puts their needs first. If he doesn’t believe he can help with your issue, he will provide the appropriate referral. At this office, you and your health always come first.

Within the first week I was sleeping like a baby again without the normal aches and pains that I was accustomed to. I continue to see Dr. Alexander every other week so he can keep me in line. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

i went to impact physical therapy to seek relief from chronic tension headaches. tony was my therapist and i saw him 2x a week for 6 weeks. after 2 weeks, i started to get relief. my symptoms continued to steadily improve until i was discharged. tony’s therapy program included everything from exercises to hands-on work to cupping. i was also taught a series of take-home exercises which i still use for headache relief on a daily basis.although my headaches were atypical, tony’s expertise and knowledge of anatomy provided relief where all other options have failed. prior to going to impact, i had sought help from neurologists, optometrists, dentists, otolaryngologists (ear/nose/throat specialists), massage therapists, acupuncturists, and more. i even visited diamond headache clinic in chicago and was not able to get relief. i only wish that i had found impact sooner. thank you tony and the entire gang at impact, you guys rock!

Personal Performance provides great service! Doug and Sue provide amazing personal training and have helped me rehab healthily from an injury. Laura provides amazing massage therapy. After my massage today, I feel a noticeable difference in areas where I felt pain and tension. Can’t wait for my next massage 🙂

I absolutely loved the staff and care I received at Athletico! Michaela Reyes oversaw my therapy and gave me the encouragement and knowledge to be in charge of my at home care. I highly recommend you give them a try if you find yourself in need of therapy!

I’ve been here twice so far and have gotten excellent results both times. The therapist here are attentive and knowledgeable. One time I was doing a exercise and almost passed out( I have heart issues). They got me back on the table and were taking my blood pressure it had dropped low. The called my heart doctor for further info. After a bit I was good to go home. I truly thank them for their professionalism and will return in the future when warranted!

I had to do two stints at Athletico, one before my surgery and one after. Both times, the therapists that I worked with were absolutely nothing but professional and attentive to my needs. In fact, the entire staff was always friendly and accommodating. I really can’t say enough about how much the people at Athletico helped make something like recovering from shoulder surgery not only tolerable but, even enjoyable! If I should happen to need physical therapy in the future, I will not hesitate to call Athletico!

Great staff. I enjoy going to physical therapy here, they’re very personable and care about the individual lives of each of their patients. They’re good at explaining injuries and paying attention to pain management.

I had an excellent experience at Athletico. I thought the therapists were professional, knowledgable and personable. They did a good job diagnosing my injury and prescribing appropriate exercises. I highly recommend the Champaign location. Heather and the staff are excellent!

The therapists here are awesome. The free injury screening service is very helpful. They explain their diagnosis very patiently. If one doesn’t need further sessions they never try and push them onto a customer. I highly recommend this location of Athletico.

EXPENSIVE!!!! be prepared to pay a lot of money for services here even if you have insurance. for a one day post knee surgery physical therapy appointment that was 1 hour and provided MINIMAL VERY MINIMAL physical therapy, an evaluation (for swelling and checking my little range of motion) and an ice pack. my insurance was charged 600.00! my portion after insurance paid was almost 200.00….. $200.00 for an ice pack and to look at my knee. makes me sick that health care has come to this just so insurance will reimburse the facility. take your money some where else

Exceptional care in a friendly, professional environment. This office has a husband/wife team of chiropractic/physical therapy care. I was looking for a chiropractor who also understands soft tissue issues and was very fortunate to come across Rehab Professionals. They are very reasonable and work with insurance or cash.

My chiropractor was out of town I guess since he did not answer the phone, and I looked up several, but settled on this one because it has the word physical therapy in the title. Although I do not need the physical therapy, I felt reassured that there would be some soft tissue work before actual spinal manipulation would occur. I’ve had it done without soft tissue massage and muscle stretching, and there is no comparison. Hands down, spinal manipulation requires some massage in order for the muscle release to allow the vertebrae to be manipulated back into place. There are different spaces in the clinic dedicated to physical therapy and rehabilitation. Jason was reassuring and meticulous to detail. While stretched out on one of the adjustable exam tables, he was able to feel out the tension points along my spine. After some soft tissue work, he manipulated my mid and upper back into shape. Since my muscles were inflamed from chronic misalignment, he stretched out the neck muscles after the vertebrae were back in place. I was very pleased.
