History: After years as a professional dancer and comedic improv performer, Joyce chose to take a different path in life. She wanted to enter a field in which she could help others instead of a career that was self centered. Joyce’s experience as a dancer (which made her no stranger to injury) made massage therapy an excellent choice for a career. Joyce is especially drawn to clients that are in chronic pain from car accidents or syndromes such as fibromyalgia. Joyce loves being a massage therapist and looks forward to the future of her business.

I was referred to see Joyce after receiving injuries from a motor vehicle accident. As I was very nervous about my first session (since I NEVER had a massage before), she talked to me about my issues and what her plan of treatment was going to be. She seemed very knowledgeable and was extremely pleasant. She made my first session a positive one as I was able to relax and indulge in the moment, although in pain. As one session will not heal you or anyone, who has an injury as I did. But I was looking for relaxation upon my first session and she exceeded that goal. Needless to say I will never fear massage therapy again. As treatments continued I became more relaxed and comfortable with each session. The treatments have been an extremely positive outcome for my healing process. She has giving me many useful suggestions on ways to relieve pain and discomfort on my injured areas. With each session, it seems like the first (except I am not nervous anymore). She assesses how I am feeling physically and what her plan of treatment should be for that session. As I suffer from depression, she previously posted an article on her Facebook page regarding how massage therapy helps with depression. That article is so on point, the therapy that I have received not only has/is helping me physically but also emotionally/mentally.Joyce I am truly grateful, for all the time and patience you have given me, for the knowledge of knowing how to treat my injuries and most of all for listening, not with your ears, but with your heart. You are truly one of a kind. May God continue to bless you in all that you do.

I would reccomend anyone to Joyce, whether for a major medical recovery or even minor chronic problems. I started going for chronic tension headaches, migraines, and neck pain and she blew my preconceptions about what needed to be worked on out of the water. She knew what I needed better than I did! I felt great afterwards and she showed me stretches to do to keep the muscle group from tightening back up. It definitely helped. She was also very flexible in accommodating my schedule and met with me at 7am!I even sent a friend who was undergoing physical therapy after surgery and he also had a positive experience and plans on going back.

I recently moved back to the Capital Region and needed to get some massage therapy after going awhile without. Joyce was fantastic – doing a great assessment of my individual needs and areas to work on. After a few sessions I can definitely feel the difference and definitely would recommend her if you have a specific issue (i.e neck problems, headaches, injury) or just need to relax and get your body back to center.

I have been to various massage therapists around the Capital Region and Joyce is by far the best. Her “tableside” manner is professional, she caters each session to fit my needs and I always leave the office feeling so much better. I can’t say enough about how amazing Joyce is, and I can’t imagine going to any other massage therapist. She has a vast expanse of knowledge about different massage techniques, plus she has a great intuition that not many other massage therapists have. I go to Joyce once a month but would go more often if I could.

About Spirit Conversationalists and Energy Artisans
Rev. Astraea Olwen grew up with a gift that she did not understand. She always had a connection to the spirit realm from a very young age. Imagine seeing someone and being familiar with their thoughts. Going to bed at night not knowing why you are afraid. Hearing conversations that is scrambled and obscure. Envision walking into a crowded room; and being overwhelmed with emotions. Recently she began to understand, and use her gifts to help others. Astraea is very empathetic with an amazing ability to see and feel what others cannot. These gifts and abilities allow her to communicate with the spirit world. Astraea cherishes and values the guidance they give to her on a daily basis. She hopes to show people there is a bridge between our two worlds; that can be crossed. As we look for guidance and knowledge the same holds true for them as well. There seems to be a great misconception about the spirit realm. It is Astraea’s fondest wish to help educate and teach others how to communicate with their world. Being empathetic aids Astraea in her energy work. Her goal is to unite like minded individuals.
History: We bid you welcome and blessings from Spirit Conversationalists and Energy Artisans! You are about to embark on a journey that will truly mystify. Please leave your doubts at the door! You shall be able to pick them up on your way out. Once you step over the threshold, please do so with a healthy skepticism. Are you curious about where our souls go once they leave our physical bodies? Have you ever experienced a sense of knowing? For example: You know what your child is doing when they are miles away? Do you have faith and belief in a higher purpose? Are you, like us seeking answers to questions?

I have had two Tarot readings with Erin, and I plan to have more! My questions revolved around my business, my daughter, and my Spiritual Unfoldment. In her calm and gentle way, Erin explained what the cards represented, and how they applied to me, specifically. Because of her interpretations, I felt supported to make decisions and take actions that are for my Highest Good. I am happy to recommend Erin in the highest terms! I can’t rave about this practice enough. I went here years ago for a hamstring injury and now I’ve been going for a foot injury. They are friendly and kind and do whatever they can to help and try to accommodate all schedules. I in no way look forward to any appointments I have because my schedule with four kids and a full time job is insane – but I make a point of doing what I can to get to physical therapy because not only does it really work, they really know what they’re doing.

Best Physical Therapy Group! On two separate occasions, I have needed the services of the physical therapists at Clifton Park Physical Therapy. The physical therapists have each been wonderful. They are very professional and eager to help in any way they can. Their optimistic attitudes, comfortable personalities and attention to every helpful detail of my treatments over the course of approximately three months have been exemplary. Their specialized training is very evident in the way my treatments were administered to provide maximum relief and recovery. I wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else the the very best!

After breaking my clavicle in five places in a motorcycle accident my DR’s office highly recommended Cliftonpark Physical therapy. I’m very glad I took their advice. Their facility is clean with quality equipment. The staff is top notch, friendly, and they care about you and your recovery. When I started I could barely move my arm when I finished I had 100% flexibility back. I highly recommend these guys for your physical therapy needs.

I’ve been a patient at both locations and had therapy for a couple of different medical issues. Both locations are fine but they have different features. One is within a great gym and the other is smaller and self-contained with fewer people around (an unfortunate but necessary pandemic concern). The former can make use of the gym facilities for targeted strengthening and the latter has its own small gym that has met my needs. I recently made my choice based on proximity to my home; otherwise, they’re equal.I have experience with two therapists, James, the owner, and Tracy. Both are knowledgeable and experienced and have great empathy regarding our aches and pains. I trust both completely. There are other therapists with whom I don’t have experience.Even my ortho doctors have been supportive of my choice to go to LaMarco. They have great respect for their services.Bottom line: I completely trust them and won’t consider any other therapy business unless dragged there kicking and screaming! I’m apparently not the only fan because I find I have to book well in advance to get my preferred time slot.

I had an MRI on my left shoulder approximately 2 years ago. I was told that I had a torn rotator cuff, however it wasn’t at the point of having surgery yet. So I opted for physical therapy. I went to two different physical therapy places over those 2 years, the first one for about 1.5 months. I realized just after the fourth week that I was doing the same exercises at home that I was doing there. Why pay them for the use of their room? I wasn’t getting any better so about 8 months later I tried a different place, same company different location, however it was a carbon copy of the first place. No hands on stretching, just using their room to do what I did at home. I was really getting discouraged, had a cortisone shot which only helped for a short time, and to discourage to try another physical therapy place. That’s when my wife found Lamarco Physical Therapy, I reluctantly said I would give it a try and I am so glad that I did. On my first visit Laura S. took measurements, seeing how much movement I could endure without pain. This was never done at the other 2 places. Now let the healing begin, the stretching bands were still there but now I was introduced to exercise machines that I have never seen before. After that I had the best experience, hands on stretching. My physical therapist was Laura L. She is extremely dedicated to all her patients and excellent at her ability to get me to a point of healing that I never thought that I would ever see.I want to thank the staff again, Laura S., Laura L., and Jim for bringing me back to a place where I believe I would never see again.I hope this helps someone make a decision on where to go for physical therapy, it is a place where your time and money is well spent. If they can’t help you, I don’t believe anyone can. Thanks, Mike

I had a severe tear of my rotator cuff. After the repair, which could not be completed arthroscopically, Larmarco Physical Therapy was recommended to me by a health care professional. I am happy to say, that after months of physical therapy, I am almost completely recovered. I want to commend James (the owner) and his dedicated staff for their care and professionalism. If I ever require physical therapy again, I will return to Larmarco.

I’ve been coming to ACPT for nearly 2 months now for some physical therapy for recurring knee injuries. All of their therapists have been wonderful. I mainly work with Conor, who has been patient and encouraging through the process. I’ve also worked with Joe and Justin and they’ve also been great. The front desk staff is also always friendly and helpful with any questions, rescheduling, billing, etc. I appreciated that at my first appointment they set me up to speak with their billing department so I knew everything my insurance would or would not cover and it showed me they would be on top of it. Overall, I’ve been very happy with my experience here and have seen great improvement in my knees. I would recommend the physical therapy here to anyone in need. I haven’t tried any of their other services (chiropractic or massage), so can’t comment.

Front desk and office staff are also efficient and helpful. Convenient location and hours.

Doctors, physical therapists and office staff are caring, welcoming and helpful. They treat you as a person rather than just a number. Treatments are customized for each patient and condition. I have used both PT and chiropractic services and am happy with both. If insurance stops paying they have reasonable pay as you go rates. Everybody knows their stuff and treatments have been successful. I have been treated for back problems, broken elbow and calf and balance issues. I come in from Delmar- it’s worth the trip

I’ve been running marathons for eight years. In the last three years, every training season I’d get what I call a “rookie” injury of IT band, knee pain, and shin pain in the left leg. I say “rookie” because this happened in the first year or two of running but then subsided. I was quite frustrated when it started up again. Each year of the past three, I fixed what I thought was the problem, whether “too much too soon” or lack of strength training or lack of flexibility. Finally this year I did everything right. I had a perfect training month where I followed everything to the letter, did strength training three times a week, alternated two pairs of new shoes, and so on. I even had what I thought was perfect running form because I changed that back in 2010 to run on the forefoot/midfoot instead of heel striking, and every year I attend form clinics. But still, out of the blue I had the same injury this summer in the middle of training season. I took a week off to heal, and then I went to see Andrew Gaetano. I explained all of the above, in much more detail, and he listened very carefully to everything I said. What’s more, he heard me. Then he diagnosed the problem. He said I was not engaging my glutes or hips because my pelvis was sticking out in the back too much, and that I was using my back muscles to get most of my leg extension, meaning that the area around the knee had extra strain and kept causing me pain. To fix this he showed me how to run with a pelvic tilt, using biofeedback, targeted exercises (and not the usual clamshells), and even a new high-tech running analysis via computer called DorsaVi (I think?) where you run outdoors with sensors and then see an analysis of symmetry/asymmetry. At first it felt weird and I think it slowed me down a bit as I focused on engaging the glutes, which I could feel for the first time during a run. But eventually I got used to it, and I saw him about twice a week as I continued to train for the Marine Corps Marathon, which was yesterday. Not only did I do two 20 milers in training pain free, I completed the marathon under my target time (which was nonetheless slower than usual because it does take time to get used to a new running form after eight years) and at the end f the race, I had no IT band pain or knee pain or shin splints! Instead, my glutes hurt a lot, which meant I was using them. He is the first PT I have seen in all these years who accurately diagnosed the problem and prescribed a solution that successfully prevented this nagging and incredibly frustrating IT/knee/shin pain. Other PTs had given up, saying I probably just had to live with it. If you are willing to try something new and work hard, go see Andrew Gaetano before giving up running. And he practically had to kick me out, saying okay, you’re fine now. :-). In other words, they want to fix your problem, not keep you there indefinitely. The place is clean, staff is friendly, and everyone is always in a good mood.

I can’t say enough great things about Suarez Sport and Orthopedic Physical Therapy. I am a college baseball pitcher and I have had various injuries, including a shoulder injury that many pitchers struggle to play through. Before seeing Pat and Tom, I went to multiple physical therapists and struggled to find a place that was right for me. I am very glad to have found Suarez PT because each time I have seen them, including for my shoulder injury, I have come back healthier and stronger with knowledge of how to protect my body from further injury. They are different from “any other physical therapy” as their modern approach is perfect for athletes who are rehabbing injuries and want to get stronger. Pat and Tom are great guys who are also former athletes and understand how athletes think, feel, and perform. I would recommend Suarez Sport and Orthopedic Physical Therapy to anyone as I will be going to them for any physical therapy need.

The care I was given at the Saratoga office of Capital Area Physical Therapy was very personal and one on one. First I worked with Drew for a pelvic issue and then Kate for my shoulder, both therapists were professional, friendly and knowledgeable about my injuries. They were extremely helpful and I am thoroughly satisfied with my care. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Capital Area PT and will return if I have any other injuries that need physical therapy. Thank you Drew, Kate and Sabrina.Judy NSaratoga Springs, NY

Over the course of many years I have patronized quite a few physical therapy businesses.Frankly, something was wrong about all of them (they canceled appointments on short notice or messed up billing) – until I found this one. Capital Region Physical Therapy is as good as it gets. The owner, Brett Sears, is a master therapist. As noted on their website “Brett Sears, PT is the Expert Physical Therapist on Verywell.com Since 2011, Brett has been writing articles on various PT-related topics.”Brett knows all the proper and correct techniques and utilizes them perfectly. He is knowledgeable, highly skilled, and personable. In short a pleasure to work with. When Brett is on vacation I see another therapist here whose name is Sandy. Sandy has the warmest hands on the planet. Sandy also knows what she is doing and is a please to work with as well. The office’s front desk person Taylor DeLong is extremely polite and efficient. The whole atmosphere here is one of competence and pleasantness. Following is another quote I have taken from their website:”At Capital Region Physical Therapy, we understand that your pain is personal, and your treatment should be. We only offer one-on-one rehab services for people of all ages. That means it is just you and your physical therapist. Always. We have available appointment times early in the morning and late at night. Some PT clinics may have you wait 2 or 3 weeks to make an initial appointment. We offer you an appointment time within 48 hours of contacting our clinic!”Finally, if you need PT this is the place to go. You will most certainly be in good hands!

I’m surprised there are no reviews of this place. I’ve used other physical therapists in the area (I.e., the bone and joint center and another place downtown) and this place so far has the best therapists. I’ve seen 2 physical therapists at this location and they are both terrific. Knowledgeable, kind, and explain everything in a way that a layman can understand. Other members of my family come here for physical therapy as well.

I’ve had both shoulders operated on for rotator cuff issues. If you’ve had that surgery you know how difficult it is to recuperate. Thanks to Brett Sears I’ve done beautifully! He’s not afraid to push you! All therapists should be so talented!!!
