I am so pleased with Moreau PT in Walker, LA. Their physical therapist, Matt Bunch, is a LIFE-SAVER! I am from out of town, I needed to get help with my shoulder pain. I stopped by Moreau PT to see if I could get an appointment before we left (within five days), which I didn’t think I’d be able to. Matt, the Physical Therapist, made the time to talk to me, answered my questions, explained my condition. He gave me a treatment and gave me exercises so I could strengthen my back so I would not need to continue to go to get others to “fix me.” I highly recommend Moreau PT in Walker. They are people who are very caring and are truly concerned about another’s well being. (something many in our medical community lack). An outstanding group of people. I am so grateful.

If you’re looking for good PT, go to Woman’s Wellness. Your PT will actually spend time with you and actually observe your ailments and progress. Going to Moreau’s is like going to a Curves gym. Solo with minimal direction– but someone will help you if you ask. The comments of a welcoming environment that makes you feel at home is not my experience. You feel more like an inconvenience.

I am not a big fan of physical therapy. When I think physical therapy, I think “pain” and “people who love to inflict pain on others” (lol). That couldn’t be further from the truth here. Every was so amazing! You walk in and you instantly feel at home. They are all knowledgeable and know what they are doing. Monica was my therapist and I couldn’t have had a better experience with her. I would recommend this location to anyone needing physical therapy services.

I was never a believer in Physical Therapy until now. The staff is friendly and very down to earth. They really pay attention to your needs and make adjustments to your treatment when needed. Highly recommended!!!!

First rate. Wonderful competent, caring staff! I went in there a few weeks ago experiencing a lot of pain in my leg and hip. Dr. Katie was able to quickly evaluate my problem and institute the needed therapy. Along with Sam and other staff they were able to get me back to normalcy amazingly quickly. Had my last session today and have returned home armed with exercises I can continue to do to strengthen my muscles. My husband used their services for a much longer period of time as he was recovering from hip and knee surgery, and had the same very positive experience.I would highly recommend them.

I haven’t been here as a patient. However I came here for my orientation as a new PT tech. The building is very clean and pretty! It’s very spacious. The girl at the front desk was very friendly. There are locker rooms to change clothes and even showers. They have the Pilates studio next to the gym with an instructor. All the PTs, the PTAs and the techs were so nice. They work great together as a team. Mr. Scott was nice and welcoming. They care a lot about their patients!

This place is absolutely wonderful. After being diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and sent to PT, I was a bit skeptical and worried about finding relief, but the therapists and assistants at this place were truly outstanding. My issues surround my right arm/hand and involve tingling, loss of strength and coordination on that side. These guys are clearly knowledgable and used a series of exercises/stretches to address my problem and balance out strength between my right and left limbs. They are friendly, helpful, and make sure you are comfortable before discharge. I was sent home with detailed institutions to keep up with my progress and will recommend them to anyone looking for help/relief through physical therapy.

A great new bookseller in the city! A large selection of older books and a few new books. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I’ve also brought books in to sell and they make the process so easy. Definitely a place to just broswe and get gifts for your book friends as a good value.

Baton Rouge has a brand new bookstore and more on Perkins Road! It’s located in the same shopping center as Trader Joe’s and Petco. It’s the large space formerly occupied by Pier 1, and they have transformed this into a spacious and amazing media store!2nd & Charles is a subsidiary of Books-A-Million, and like its parent store, they sell lots of books! This includes used books, which have been in short supply in this area since Cottonwood Books sadly closed. However, this store has lots more!I saw pretty much every kind of physical media represented, as well as lots of cards and pop culture collectibles. There were magazines, comics, music (including vinyl, movies, and even some musical instruments! The staff were going about asking customers if they needed assistance, and there was a line of people checking out with their newly found books and other items. Everyone seemed to be happy with this new business when I visited. I’m glad to see new businesses coming into Baton Rouge, especially book-related businesses!
Brett G. rated 2 stars on 8/23/2023
The store is awesome, but the staff treats you like you’re a bother. Waited at the counter for help. Made eye contact with the clerk. He continued to stock shelves, no acknowledgment, no “I’ll be with you in a second”. Very disrespectful & disappointing. I finally just left my book on the counter & walked out. I hate that ‘brick & mortar’ stores are disappearing. But with this kind of treatment, I guess it’s not too surprising that folks are ordering online. Sad.

We love 2nd & Charles so were thrilled to see a new one opening in Baton Rouge! It was very nice, and the employees were kind and helpful. Some things were definitely more expensive there than other stores, but still a great shop with unique finds!

I visited Little Wars to buy a present foe my board game loving family. They had a great selection and were really helpful in picking a new and interesting game for us.There were loads of tables for wargaming and a really nice atmosphere and feel to the place.Would definitely recommend!

VERY friendly and helpful staff and cashiers. Definitely loves Tabletop and Miniatures, I was helped by a woman with purple and blue dyed hair, who helped me pick out this set of metal die that will probably tear through some dice trays, but will be amazing to roll and use in my next few sessions
Ronald C. rated 4 stars on 1/7/2019
It wasn’t that long ago that Little Wars was not that great. Thankfully, that time has passed. Nowadays, it’s the best gaming store in Baton Rouge with something for all the game players in your life. Whether you love MTG, boad games, miniatures gaming or painting, or even a few other things, there’s something here for you. They have events for each of these groups, and personally I’ve enjoyed the monthly Board Game night where you can BYOBeer. These days, the folks inside are pretty nice and knowledgeable. My only real complaint is the tables and chairs are way out of date. They will serve, but they’re not great. Considering the most recent owner has done a lot of upgrades, I’m sure these are on his list to eventually tackle.

Oh, Little Wars… You’re like a wonderful woman I’ll never get to be with…Lemme explain.Since Katrina, there’s been an absolute dearth of game stores in my area (Slidell). So, this past weekend I took the boy and drove an hour and a half to see Little Wars. I got there with no problem, but there was a bit of a parking kerfluffle because there was a vintage auto show going on in the communal parking lot.Once inside, I was downright overwhelmed. Several tables of 40K and Warmachine were going on. To the right of the entrance, an entire wall of board and role playing games for your perusal (with Pathfinder taking up a huge section closest to the window). To the back, a well laid out section for 40K and Warhammer Fantasy.LW was a beautiful dame, but in the end, reality set in.It’s too much of a trek to get to, in my opinion. As much as I loved the place on first sight, it just doesn’t justify three hours on the road to enjoy it. If you live nearby or the time isn’t an issue, this place is frakkin’ great. And in the end, the boy got a Chibi Thulhu and I picked up some Runebound expansion decks, so it wasn’t a complete wash.
Sophia G. rated 4 stars on 5/25/2011
To be honest, I love this place to death. I went in there once and fell absolutely in love with the environment Little Wars offered. It may be a bit nerdy but it’s awe-inspiring to see people that dedicated to an older way to play games. Definitely recommend going here!

I have been a patron of little wars since the late eighties when they were over off college Drive. As a kid visiting this place gave me the same feeling of excitement that Christmas morning did… there was always something new to look at and long for. It was amazing. Then I had kids and stopped hobbying for a while and when I went back to the shop it was a very different place. Shane (the guy that use to run it) was gone, and the whole atmosphere was sort of depressing… almost hostile. I Went back time and again, mainly out of loyalty to something that brought me so much joy during my childhood. Finally I closed the door on that memory and had made up my mind to never visit again. Then a friend told me recently that the store was under new management and that I should give it another go. So I did… and To my surprise the old atmosphere was back… I can’t really explain it, but it feels like the store has emerged out of its own “dark ages” period… I find myself day dreaming about what might be on the shelf or who might be playing what at little wars… just like when I was 12. Very few things bring back the joy of my childhood… and now there is one more.

We have been seeing Terri since November and our family cannot say enough great things about her. She works with my great niece twice a week and we are very encouraged by the progress we have seen. The facility itself is set up so nicely. The therapy areas are so inviting! It truly looks welcoming to enter. While we only work with Terri, we have had sessions where we are in common areas with other therapists and clients and I have always thought they all do such great jobs. I know therapists jobs are not easy and yet these ladies always have a smile on their face and an upbeat attitude to reassure even the most worried parent that they can get through things! That is not always easy when a toddler is crying and not wanting to cooperate. And as that worried Aunt I can tell you it;s nice to be reminded that even when progress is slow at least we are having progress!Thank you Terri and all you great ladies! You are appreciated.

I’ve been battling with a trauma injury from almost a year ago requiring rehab, surgery, more rehab, braces and injections. It’s been a long and frustrating road but I feel like my care team has my best interest at heart and is with me every step of the way. They explain each injury, test, procedure and medicine thoroughly. I know they aim to get me my best quality of life back. Highly recommend Dr. Greene, his PAs Jada and Josh, and the multitude of nurses, med techs, x-ray staff, and surgical team at this clinic.

Dr. Craig Greene is clearly a top notch surgeon and a really smart guy, however even more importantly he is a really really good man. Clear communications on options following a conservative approach to treatment. And when it came time for surgery, the pain relief and ultimately the outcome has been outstanding. He cares and he delivered beyond expectations!
Ronald C. rated 3 stars on 8/28/2018
There is a lot to talk about in this clinic. First off when you arrive, checking in is really very easy. It doesn’t take long before you’re done with your paperwork and moved on to the next part. That next part is visiting the cashier to make any applicable payments. This will also go pretty quick. Next you’ll check into your actual doctor’s area and see if they want you to do any further tests. For me, this meant I needed to get some X-rays. The X-ray area is super organized and fast. So at this point in the process, I’m thinking this will be a 5 star review because everything has gone so well. But the next thing you need to do is wait to be called back by your specific doctor. I have seen 3 different doctors here so I am assuming it’s not just a fluke. The wait here is just way too long. If you have an appointment for 2:30, you shouldn’t be still sitting in the waiting area at 3:30. Now we can expect long wait times at most doctor’s offices, but that doesn’t make it right and these are just exorbitant. Furthermore, of the 3 physicians I saw there, I would never go back to 2 of them. Their bedside manner is honestly pretty terrible. One of them basically offered me nothing to assist with my issues. He just told me “ah, you need to go see someone else here in the clinic, not me.” Well I just spent over an hour waiting to see you because your receptionist suggested I see you for this specific problem. And now we come to the end. All this waiting (and don’t forget the monetary cost) and I still have my same problem. 3 doctors later and the problem isn’t solved. That’s not how medicine is supposed to work. I have given 3 stars due to all the things that “work” at this clinic. But personally I wouldn’t go back to this clinic if I could avoid it.

If I could have the Ether beat playing in the background, I would. I had an appointment at this place as recommended by the claims department at my old job. I went the first time and to be honest, it felt rushed. I felt rushed to fill out the paperwork, and rushed to get out the room. The second time I come in, the girl at the desk didn’t know what I was talking about. She leaves for about five minutes and comes back. She tells me that my appointment was cancelled because my claims department didn’t pay for it. WHAT?? You mean to tell me, I drove all the way from where I live for nothing? I waited an entire month to come back for my back and neck pain. They had an entire month to contact me about this. And it was embarrassing, with all of those r*cist people staring at me. They really need to work on contacting people because not everybody lives in Baton Rouge.I guess I am on my own but had to write a review on this unprofessional business.

Dr. Girod wheeled me out of an OR while still complaining of pain. Months later, still seeking care because I was still in pain, I inquired about it.. Instead of listening to me that my pain was in more areas than they were saying, they decided I apparently needed to be.. pleasured. So when that failed because I was still in actual pain, it got reported. (Found out elsewhere the problem was my cervical spine.)They then threatened to sue me for defamation of character for telling the truth, and then immediately turned around and lied about me and said I could not perform sexually. WTF is wrong with these people?????These are some really horrible people hiding behind the guise of medical professionals. These doctors will definitely do what they can to get out of the room as soon as possible, not actually care for the patient!

I was referred to Dr Bowlin with BROC after I found out I had Carpal tunnel in both hands. An appointment was scheduled for the following week. I was excited I could see him so soon. The clinic is beautiful. They were following Covid 19 protocol. Everyone was super friendly from the lady who took my temperature, to the staff working the front desk. Big smiles, warm welcomes, caring welcoming staff as I am certain I am not the only patient a little nervous to be going to see a surgeon. They were so quick I didn’t even get a chance to scroll through Facebook!! Mrs. Karla at Dr. Bowlin’s front desk greeted me. We ha spoken on the phone & she was just as sweet in person. She brought me to the room and Dwayne, PA, came in to check out my hands. He was great! Funny, nice, understanding. He explained everything really well!! Dr. Bowlin came to meet me and talk about the surgery. He, too, was super kind. We were able to schedule my surgery for Friday, my appointment was Wednesday! Dwayne came back and did a cortisone shot in my wrist, didn’t feel a thing! He’s a master shot giver!! I was a little nervous about surgery because it was only going to be with a local anesthetic but Dwayne pumped me up, explained what would happen, and I wasn’t scared anymore! Day of surgery everyone was super awesome! We even sang some jams together in the operating room! The nurses at the surgical center were wonderful! Surgery lasted less than 1 Alicia Keys song, girl on fire! I only felt a little pressure but absolutely no pain during my procedure. Then I was rolled out m, like the princess that I am, to recovery! I would highly recommend Dr Bowlin, his staff, and Baton Rouge Orthopaedic center to everyone! I can’t wait to get my left hand worked on too!

I went to the After Hours Orthopedic clinic after I injured my knee. The check in was quick, friendly and professional, as was the nurse who took the x-rays. I was in a lot of pain (definitely a 10) and couldn’t put any weight on my knee. I was seen my a Physician’s Asst. Now, as a whole, I like the care of P.A.’s because they seem to be more thorough (from my own personal experiences). This was not the case with this one. I found him to be arrogant and his attitude condescending. All he could tell me was that I didn’t break a bone and that my medial collateral ligament wasn’t torn. That’s it. He essentially told me use it as much as was “comfortable” (IT WASN’T, I COULDN’T PUT ANY WEIGHT ON IT) keep the knee straight, no elevation (I ended up elevating it after a sleepless, pain filled night) ice it as needed (10 minutes at a time throughout the day), take 2 Tylenol or two Advil every four hours and use a cane or crutches, if I had some. IF I HAD SOME! Who keeps crutches and canes if you don’t use them???!!! I had to use the lobby’s wheel chair just to get to the room! I had to be helped into a vehicle to get there! Thanks for the waste of $$$ and time visit. His “diagnosis” was WAY off, by the way. I ended up seeing a specialist who knew exactly what was going on. Proper treatment was given (no, it wasn’t pain pills. I’m not one of “those people”).
