I had eight sessions at Solutions for sciatica nerve pain, as part of a two-pronged approach to therapy. Their combination of exercises, stretching, and manipulation, in conjunction with hot/cold treatments really helped me get past the pain and resolve its root causes. I am two months pain free; I continue to use the exercises and stretches they taught me. Their office and gym space are clean, well maintained, and inspire confidence. The therapy staff are amazing; just as importantly they are backed up by an excellent admin team who handle scheduling and insurance claims with efficiency and professionalism.

I will start with the positive – the physical therapist I was assigned to was very friendly and presumably very knowledgeable. I wish I actually had spent quality time working with this person. The company operates like a factory. Insurance pays for one hour of PT. Here, the therapist only works with you for 30 minutes or in some instances, 20-25 minutes, and then is rushing to get to their next appointment. As such, I had to choose if I wanted to review my assigned exercises or have an adjustment. There was no time to do both. The physical therapists are scheduled back to back to back. You spend the other half of your pre-paid hour with a technician. This person is not a licensed or trained physical therapist. In my case, the technician was assigned to watch me do my exercises. He was not watching. He offered no advice or suggestions nor commented on my form. My insurance company is paying for one hour of time with a trained physical therapist. This is not what I got.Additionally, the set up is very tight. The main area is extremely crowded and there is no privacy. At one point I was lying on a mat and almost got stepped on. Other clients were walking all around and over me. I gave it a few chances but decided it was extremely stressful and not for me. It is truly a factory-like atmosphere.

Don’t use these people. I tried to schedule an appointment and they never called me to set the appointment. I don’t care how good they are i will not use them.

I was referred from my doctor to go to Solutions PT because of a sports injury that made me lose most of my mobility on my shoulder. I had an initial consultation with Natalie, who was fairly new to the establishment at the time. Natalie is extremely knowledgeable, motivated, and approachable when it comes to this practice. She measured my range of motion and checked my strength and saw that both were very limited. I ended up going to PT twice a week and worked with Natalie during the first half of every session, and then the second half would mostly be done with those who assist with the actual exercises. Natalie’s soft tissue work is incredible- don’t let her petite frame fool you! She is a boss when it comes to making your muscles cry and then feel much better during the week. She’s always considerate and asks if anything is painful and if so, she’s always quick to dial her strength back! I’ve also worked with Anthony and Kyler. Both have been such a joy to work with- they really keep the operation going and are great at demonstrating each of the exercises. They are not only knowledgeable, they are approachable, and have great senses of humor. Today was my last session after a few months of PT. I will say, as a patient, you should always be consistent with the exercises you are given. I felt like I improved immensely in a short amount of time, but I also tried to dedicate 30 minutes to an hour each day to do all the exercises I was given by Natalie. That’s another thing to note- Natalie is continuously researching and learning new exercises and will have you try them. She’s very dynamic in her methodology when creating an exercise plan for you, so nothing stays stagnant. While I’m so happy that I have full range of motion back, I am so sad to be leaving Solutions. I’m going to miss Natalie, and the team very much.I would wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone who has any discomfort or pain. There are so many PTs here to choose from and each have their own flair when interacting with patients. I couldn’t be happier to have had Natalie as my PT. I know that if I ever feel less than 100%, I would come back to Natalie in a heartbeat.Thank you Natalie, Kyler, Anthony, and the rest of the Solutions Team. Even those at the front desk. I believe that everyone here deserves the utmost recognition. I am genuinely appreciative of all of your help and support throughout my experience with my (former) injury!

Solutions is the best place to go to for your physical therapy needs. One of my good friends, who is a Pilates Instructor, recommended them to me, and since then, I have been recommending my friends. The receptionists are accommodating and greet you with a smile, and will help you with everything. The workout space is a large L-shaped room with plenty of mirrors and equipment. They also have private intake offices.Everything is cleaned after each session including the equipment .The instructors are all knowledgeable and very helpful and patient. It’s one of those places you actually enjoy going to for your PT sessions. They have their own app, a portal called Strivehub that is easy to download and not only has a written descriptions of exercises but videos that show you how to practice the exercise steps at home!I will miss going for my sessions, now that I am on the road to recovery.

I’ve been coming here for several months for my neck pain and Nicole has been terrific. When I first started I really thought I’d have to have steroid shots to my neck but I gave PT a try. My neck feels much better And I’m now in maintenance mode once a week. Nicole is very knowledgeable and spends a while massaging my neck which really works! Her dry needling was also quite effective.

This practice is a Godsend! Could not be happier and grateful for the care I have received through this practice, especially from Shira Weiss. If you are struggling with TMJ pain and need immediate relief ask for Shira. Two years ago I underwent a craniotomy for a tumor that was found to have obliterated my TM joint and grew into other areas of my skull. I was hopeless and felt like no one would ever be able to help me relive the pain and have a normal life post surgery. I went to a lot of specialists who said that Botox injections were the only way help manage my pain, that’ $500/an injection every 5-6 months. Then I found Shira. Shira not only helped to alleviate a lot of my pain, but she also advocated for me with my surgeons to really find out the cause of my pain and how we could go about treating and managing my TMJ issues for the rest of my life. After undergoing a traumatic event I didn’t know the questions to ask my surgeons during my annual visits. Shira helped me in figuring out what my surgery entailed as I couldn’t really absorb all that happened to me during this time. Shira took that burden on for me and through her advocacy and diligence she found another doctor who might be able to help me with my post surgery symptoms, in addition the magic she was able to perform. Shira’s technique and bedside manners are truly one of a kind. If you are struggling with your TMJ or any other physical ailments for that matter, Shira is your girl. Many thanks to her and to SPT&SM for their professionalism and care they give to their patients.

Compared to other PT places I have been, this place is WAAAY above and beyond expectations. The folks here know what they are doing. I am well pleased. The therapist emailed me my program so that I would know exactly what to do at home.

Danielle and the team have been absolutely fantastic in helping me get back on the go from a recent hip surgery. They push enough to get results while maintaining a very positive and supporting interaction level. I have had my fair share of Physical Therapists, and I plan on continuing to see Dani for all my follow up PT needs.

About Sacred Circle
We carry a full, diverse array of spiritual and metaphysical products. All our merchandise is compassionately selected to be vegan/cruelty-free (no products of animal origin), environmentally friendly, and fair trade whenever possible. We also offer intuitive readings and energy healing sessions by a staff of ethical, experienced professionals, as well as classes and events. We invite you to come in and shop our colorful, eclectic mix honoring all spiritual paths.
History: When we lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, I was a professional astrologer and Tom was in high tech. Then tech crashed in 2001 and Tom lost his job, so we left. We moved to Alexandria in 2002 with several ideas for making a living, but when none of them worked out, I suggested opening the metaphysical shop I’d been thinking about for 30 years. Tom later said to himself, “All I want to do is what the cosmos wants me to do”. In June 2004, he consulted the I Ching about several career options. After receiving lukewarm or negative judgments on the options, he asked about helping me open a metaphysical store. It indicated that this was precisely what he should do and that we would be acting in perfect harmony with the Universe. Sacred Circle opened in 2006 and people came pouring in, expressing a depth of gratitude for the store that amazed and humbled us. Spirit truly cleared the way for us and we learned firsthand what happens when you are in harmony with the Universe. – Anysia

On a quick tour of Old Town Alexandria with my sister-in-law, she wanted coffee and right next door was Sacred Circle. I spotted it and quickly said- I’ll be in there and poof, I disappeared through the front door and became lost inside. It was so quiet upon entering, calm, peaceful and great positive energy. The quiet gave me a feeling of reverence & since I was in town for a funeral, it gave me a pause. As I wandered closer toward the back of the store the silence was broken by soft conversation. I started picking things up- my mind drawn to various things. Husband slipped into the store without me noticing just as I was ringing a singing bowl. He approached and said- of course you are playing. A reminder that he and Kelly were waiting on me. I scanned the cases quickly and found small pottery bottle. I also grabbed a Goddess tealight holder, perfect for Imbolc. A little talk with the store keepers/owners (maybe) and I couldn’t have been happier to find this treasure of a shop. My goodies were packaged up quickly and I left wishing I had more time to get lost in conversation. They have a wonderful selection of books, tarot, Altar pieces, candles, oils, incense and much much more. Energy in a store like this is most important to me & they have wonderful energy!

Love this spot! I come here to get energy work done with the Shaman Deb. Recently had a session with her a few weeks ago. Deb is amazing at what she does and makes you feel heard and comfortable throughout the process. Also bought these rings and Sacred Woman book by Queen Afua! Anytime you come in and are getting a service done, you get 10% off the entire store.

They provide a wide variety of many things such as books, healing crystals, jewelry, bookmarks, candles, foods such as jam, and much more. I’ve only visited Sacred Circle once but I definitely would come again. On my first visit I got a book, a bookmark, and an eye of horus pendant and I love them all. The store provides a quiet/calm environment, I visited around 4pm on a Friday and there were only about 6 other people in the store besides my friend and I.

I was looking for a few stone bracelets and crystals and found this place on Yelp. There is a ton of insense but the stock and variety of bracelets and crystals is low. I assume the man and woman that were there are the owners. They both watched me like a hawk the entire time and spoke snappily to each other and two of the workers. The vibe felt super tense and low. That will probably be my last visit. I stumbled upon Om Tibet not a block down the street and wished I found it first.

Yesterday, I’ve went to Sacred Circle for the first time. There were only two people working in the store, and it was a little busy. I had my list of Crystals to purchase that my Wonderful Chakra Healer provided. I stood quietly in front of the crystal case, to let someone know I’m waiting for assistance. The Older Sales Lady was assisting another Customer, who was sharing her story of losing her Mother to Cancer. I listened to the conversation, and I thought about my Grandmother, who raised me, lost her battle with Breast Cancer. I thought about how I took care of my Grandmother. Then the Sales lady look over to me, and said, “I appreciate if you Practiced Patience”, in a Condescending manner. I replied, I didn’t say anything, I’m just waiting. Then the Older Lady said, Thank you for your Patience. Just thought about her actions, and walked out of the store. I’ve worked in the Customer Service Industry for over 20 years….at a 5 star hotel as a Manager, a Flight Attendant for a major airline, etc. Now, I work for the Military. I have never told a Customer to “Practice Patience”. I don’t want to pull the Race Card, but I was the only Black Person in the store. I’ve traveled all over the world, and I have never experienced such Rudeness, in my life. The Sales Lady couldn’t see my face, I didn’t make any sounds, My body language was relaxed, and poised. Why make such an appalling statement. Sacred Circle is supposed to be a place of acceptance and healing, which I did not get. I will be sharing my story about my experience at the Sacred Circle.

A few years ago, I had a major bout of insomnia. I tried everything! It was so bad that I decided to go to Sacred Circle to see if there was anything they could do to help.I ended up leaving with liquid sage (smokeless which was perfect for my little apartment), and two stones that they said would help promote sleeping. I was skeptical, but I was desperate. That night, I had the most restful sleep I had in months. I’m not sure if it was the sage or the stones or a combination of both but it totally worked (this was several years before healing crystals became en vogue). In fact, constant insomnia is no longer an issue that I deal with on a daily basis. I’m a true believer! The store looks a bit different now than when I first visited but it is just as user friendly and beautiful to browse around. As my spiritual journey grows I can always find something that speaks to me. The staff is friendly and helpful as well!

I have been here once or twice with two different friends and each one states how the vibe or energy is way off inside. No one ever says hello or greets you at all. It carries candies, jewelry, books, stones and gems and what nots but it’s a bit overpriced. I prefer Terra Christa in Vienna VA. Two stars because it’s close and has what I need.

i’m going to get right to the point. If you want to pay more for the item you buys and still be treated like a 2nd class citizen, if you wish to spoken to in a “you peasant or Underling” type of manor..then continue to go to this place.if you want to pay less for MORE ITEM and still be respected and talked to as a HUMAN ADULT BEING…..Crystal Fox is where you need to be…311 Main St, Laurel, MD 20707not sure what’s so “Sacred” about this place…but they don’t have the best customer service demeanor at all. My friend bought a item and left…only to discover that the item was defective…she was 4 block away. She called back within 15 mins of leaving and was told “oh…oh well…sorry”this place is a no for me

My Starlight is AMAZING! Anya is THE person to go to for a reading. I have been telling my friends and coworkers all about her. I will admit I am a bit biased because this was my first reading I ever had. BUT truly she is phenomenal with the work she does. I only told her my name and date of birth then she started providing me with insight and guidance. Initially I was afraid that I would get too much information or that I would feel lost after the reading but that was not the case at all. Anya was spot on with her reading and she made sure to provide me with resources to help me through my journey. I will definitely be back for future readings.Other pros include: *reasonable price*personality (she is genuinely interested in helping you and guiding you)*great response time (she followed up and responded to my questions via text promptly)If you need a reading, Anya will not dissapoint.

I did not like the unprofessional environment of the townhous (someone was cooking) Plus she asked too many questions to be a “real” psychic. I been to many reiki masters /medium/ psychics, but never had an experience like I did at My Starlight. Anya is amazing at what she offers. Very professional and kind. I went once just to check her out because a friend recommended her I’m her regular client now. I have recommend her to my family and friends. Since She is been working with me things been changing for better in my life. Prices are reasonable she does not over charge like others I been to in the VA area. She is the absolutely the best I highly recommend her.

Anya is the only person I trust with all my life endeavours. She’s one of the wisest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. I can not reccommend her enough!!!!I’ve had my doubts about tarot card readings because I’ve heard it can be a frightening experience. However, she was the complete opposite. Her presence alone is so comforting and calming. She was very honest about what she pulled and we talked through all my options. She was able to get to the root of what has been hurting/bothering me. Truly life-changing. Anya also does reiki which I so desperately needed. Ever since our last session, I feel at ease and so positive about everything. Money is definitely not the motive Her purpose was to help people and it shows through her work.

I am not a deep believer in this but I scheduled just to explore and who knows it was a tremendous and amazing experience with her!!! She is a honest reader, not only tells you what she saw but also provides you suggestions and life advice. It was very helpful and I honestly feel better after my session with her! I will definitely go back to her and I recommend you give a try!

Anya’s gentle guidance was just what I needed during a time of uncertainty. She brought things to the surface that I was unable to reach on my own. Her combination of an intuitive reading and energy work allowed for healing to take place on so many levels. Very grateful for our session!

I must’ve begged Anya to give me a bs response to my question and each time was brought back to my intuitive knowing. She isn’t for the faint of heart, you must have a certain level of conscious awareness to receive what Anya provides. She’ll gauge your level of readiness so be prepared to receive the truth, the whole truth and nothing but it. Seriously a very spiritual and intuitive being, she even gave me a free cleanse at the end of our reading which she felt compelled to do by her guides. I enjoy having her in my network and will make sure to see her actively as she definitely reaffirmed the areas in life I truly need to heal, discover, and build upon.

I feel so fortunate to have found The Physical Therapy Zone in Alexandria, Virginia at a time when I was in tremendous pain and needed immediate help. The owner, Dr. Lori Alexander (MSPT, DPT), fit me into her team’s busy schedule where other physical therapy facilities said I needed to wait for an appointment 3 or 4 weeks out. Lori and her team are professional and excellent physical therapists who listen carefully and provide therapy that is personalized to meet their clients’ needs at each session. It is not just a standard flow of exercises given to everyone. I worked with Dr. Olivia Seeley whose skills relieved me so much after my first session that I could walk and sit without the excruciating pain that brought me in the door. I noticed that everyone working there has the same compassion and professionalism that Lori and Olivia showed me. I recommend, with highest praise, The Physical Therapy Zone in Alexandria.

Contacted/ saw multiple therapist (think the big ones in Alexandria area) prior to arthroscopic knee surgery. Lori was great w/ the pre-surgery assessment/ testing and telling me what to expect. Have been working w/ Esteban since the surgery and I couldn’t speak more highly of him.

I cannot say enough positive things about this business. Sheri took care of me during my time there which involved a few months of sessions to build weak muscle groups that were causing me pain in other parts of my body. I am amazed at how she was able to pinpoint the root causes and develop an exercise plan to keep things balanced. Thank you for improving the quality of my life!

I literally went from not being able to walk to running a half marathon in 7 months, all thanks to Lori and her team at The Physical Therapy Zone. In July 2019, I had MPFL replacement surgery for a chronic dislocating patella. Lori and her team provided individual care to meet my needs. It was always easy to schedule and reschedule sessions. She provided me with at home exercises to complete and she pushed me while I was there. I can’t thank The Physical Therapy Zone enough for giving me my freedom back and helping me to recover from my first surgery!

This is best physical therapy place I’ve ever experienced. Lori does such an amazing job, and she is a wonderful person as well. I highly recommend this business.

I’ve never had physical therapy before. I went yesterday evening for my first session at The Physical Therapy Zone and worked with Caitlyn and Janae (sorry if my spelling is incorrect). They are wonderful–I felt like I mattered to them. All my questions were answered, I understood everything they shared with me, and I left feeling encouraged and determined to do the easy stretches/strengthening exercises Caitlyn showed me (I have a complex tear of the medial meniscus in my right knee, along with osteoarthritis). They even offered to show me how to use a TENS unit I bought two years ago and have never taken out of the box. I’m looking forward to my next two visits and to having much less pain in my life. I’d recommend this business to anyone.

**For future DPT applicants**My sincerest thank you to you, Lori. For the past several weeks, you were kind enough to permit me to shadow you as part of my observership requirement for my application to DPT programs. During my time with you, I saw myself one day as a practitioner, supporting and educating patients in their rehabilitation. I admired the way you cared for your patients, and showed interest in their lives outside of the clinic, asking about their vacations and commiserating on current events. But the most enlightening events were our final conversations, when you decided not to support my applications with feedback required by the schools. This decision, and the reasoning and advice behind it, have inspired me to no longer pursue physical therapy. Of course, I can’t give you all the credit for my decision, but I find it hard to believe you couldn’t have given me some evaluation, positive or negative, even after personally requesting it. Saying that I wasn’t employed by you is not feedback. Even if you told me that you didn’t think I was an appropriate fit for PT, that would have been at least some sort of feedback. In conclusion, I’m glad to have had this experience, and I am truly thankful to have met you. All the best.-Dana

Fabulous pre natal yoga classes! Great instructors and helpful guidance. Nice calm space. Note you must pre book on MINDBODY app as there is no check in desk.

Moved to Del Rat recently and thought I would try the introductory offers for all the studios on the avenue. Mind the Mat was my first and I haven’t bothered going elsewhere. Ive always been pretty resistant to group exercise and do more solo weights, but dabble in yoga. Every class ive taken here has been great and has motivated me to try and go at least 2-3 times a week! Ive tried one barre class and am hoping to try pilates but this review is mostly about the yoga classes. Ive liked some instructors more than others in terms of challenge level but they are all fabulous. You can tell people are regulars and they foster a community here.

I come here just for the Pilates classes. This studio is the only one in the area that offers a hot mat Pilates class – something I tried in CA once and loved (and prefer to the reformer machine). It’s a tough workout that will leave you sore and get your heart rate going. I only wish this place was closer to my house!

I discovered Mind the Mat at this year’s Well Ray event and purchased the 4 class passes for $40 to try them out. I’m going to say right now, I don’t intend on purchasing a monthly pass ONLY because my best friend needs a place with childcare and I’d prefer going where she does, but if they offered childcare or my friend’s schedule allowed her to go here, I’d be a forever member. All four classes I took were FANTASTIC with really excellent instructors, a clean space, and doTerra products. While you’re asked to bring your own mat to most classes and your own towel to the Hot classes, they have several items in studio for you to use (hand weights, Pilates balls, yoga blocks, etc.). I tried Flow Yoga I/II, Yoga Barre, and Pilates Barre, and would easily recommend them to anyone and everyone. I understand with their particular space restraints, childcare just isn’t really an option, and I’m disappointed I won’t be returning (for now). If you are childfree or have a schedule that allows you to make it to a class or two during the week, then you should absolutely check out Mind the Mat!

I survived my first yoga class, it was pretty awesome, the space was peaceful, the teacher went at a great pace and being able to sign up and pay for my class online was very convenient. I was a little nervous going into this, coming out I feel great. Fast forward 3 months in and I love this place more and more, I’ve taken numerous classes with several different teachers, although I do have my favorites, all of the teachers and classes are fantastic.I can’t say enough great things about this place! 5 stars, namaste.

Fantastic studio with wonderful customer service! Verveine of the customer service team is a true asset, and super polite even when I accidentally called her “Valerie”. So sorry! Deborah’s class is one of my favorites – she guides you through a truly relaxing and centering experience. Couldn’t be happier with Mind the Mat!

Love their hot yoga studio. I have been to many hot yoga studios where tou just feel gross, sweaty, and suffocating even before class starts. MtM studio feels just right and I can breathe… i definitely sweat more than regular flow, but it doesnt feel disgusting. The floor is clean and the studio itself is a very cute place. I really enjoyed Georgia’s class at 9:30 am with her hands-on assists and guidace. Her voice is very soothing and super encouraging. Although it is a 75min class, it does not seem that long, even in the heat. There is a lot of parking in the back and tons of classes to explore.

I worked with Kris after having shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum that I dislocated playing basketball.Kris is an expert when it comes to shoulder injuries. Not only did he come up with a comprehensive plan to rehabilitate my shoulder without re injuring it, he also spent a lot of time going through what I should be doing at home. Kris was always re-evaluating my treatment and treated the other muscles in my back that were not “firing” properly after my surgery. The Jackson Clinics are set up as a team format. You spend half an hour 1 on 1 with your therapist and then half an hour with Jonah (or one of the other assistants). Jonah was also very helpful and knowledgeable and the system worked extremely well for my injury.I would recommend Kris and Jonah to family and friends.

Without making a good faith effort to collect bills from their clients, they wait until the right time and then, with their attorneys, sue their clients. All of our bills were paid, and somehow, a balance of $161 was left. We were sued for it, and when we asked their attorney, he charged us $327.82, which included 18% interest, attorney fees, court fees, and a credit card processing fee. After looking at other reviews, it seems they intentionally target minority and immigrant communities, thinking that such individuals might not have the means to fight the lawsuit and will be frightened enough to pay whatever this business decides to charge them. We highly advise you not to do business with such an unethical entity. Thank you.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about the team at Jackson Clinic in Merrifield. I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my hip and referred for physical therapy. I googled around a bit and selected Jackson Clinic. Emily was my physical therapist and I worked with exercise specialists Jimena, Olga and Candy. After a thorough assessment, I went for therapy twice a week and was given exercises to do at home. After four months, my hip pain was significantly abated. Emily always had time for questions and provided so many helpful suggestions. Jimena, Olga and Candy encouraged and supported me along the way.SUCH a great facility, I highly recommend!!
Valentina D. rated 4 stars on 8/2/2017
The main distinguishing feature at Jackson Clinics is that they pair you with a physical therapist for ~25 minutes to massage your injured joint/limb, and once your joint/limb is loosened/relaxed, you’re paired with a sports therapist for 30-60 minutes of working that joint/limb out. This is in contrast to most PT facilities which assign you to a therapist (shared with others) for 45 minutes of exercise (and no one-on-one massage time). You do share your sports therapist for 2-3 other people, but in my experience, this hasn’t been a problem because you’re usually occupied for a few minutes performing each exercise before returning to the sports therapist for a new exercise. Prices depend on your insurance, but for me (with 90% of the negotiated rate covered), I paid about $12 a session. It is a little frustrating that the price varies each session, depending on whether they’ve educated you or not, and how long you spent with the sports therapist, but the price does work out close to their initial estimate. Their administrative aspects are excellent. Hours accommodate people with jobs in DC (opening at 7AM), and they’re open until 7PM Monday through Thursday. You get an email notification 24 hours before your appointment, and the staff (especially Jonathan) is on top of things. When my PT prescription was close to running out, they called my doctor for me to get a new prescription without even bothering me with this administrative issue. Also, the first day you show up, they provide a sheet with an estimate of how much you’ll pay each session (which has been pretty accurate for me).I had a good experience at the Jackson Clinic in Merrifield, but one thing that might matter to others is that the staff seems to be on the younger side – you won’t see anyone with grey hair here. I didn’t feel like I lost out on anything, but figured I’d mention that in case you’re one of those people who wants to work with someone that has decades of experience.

I sprained my ankle twice while hiking down a mountain summit at night in the middle of March 21. It wasn’t until 4 months later that I started physical therapy and was recommended to Jackson Clinics in Fairfax. Logan and Bryan worked with me for 3 month to strengthen my ankle with various exercises. I noticed an improvement after working with them for the given amount of time and am much more comfortable moving around now when I’m outdoors, compared to when I first started PT with limited mobility. They’re fantastic! Logan is very perceptive and is patient with working with your injury while listening to any concerns related. Definitely recommend her. Bryan is wonderful – he’s able to guide you through exercise routines ensuring that you’re doing them properly. Ask for them if you ever visit. You will not be disappointed.

GRADE: F – (based on their cancellation policy)Long story short, I started PT following surgery. People raved about The Jackson Clinic and their knowledgeable kind staff. But did it live up to the hype? Depends how you look at it. While MOST of the staff was indeed nice– I experienced a few “displeasing” incidents. Like the time their male receptionist called me, as I was on my way to the office, to inform me that I was 15 minutes late– with a cold tone in his voice, might I add. But in actuality, and I had a printout, my appointment was 15 minutes later than he proposed. He knew he had messed up because when I arrived he apologized after seeing the printout and quote on quote said “now I feel like a complete (insert the A word here).” Either way, was that a way to speak to a patient? No sir, it was NOT.But the biggest issue I have– considering I’ve worked in many doctor offices before — is the lack of understanding their cancellation policy takes into consideration. Or should I say the Office Manager? I work for a media outlet and my schedule has required me to adjust my appointments super last minute. That’s just how the media world works– we can’t control breaking news! But their “Office Manager” does NOT take that into consideration, despite my constant communication with the team. Instead, they’re quick to slap that “No Show Fee” because forget your problems, they don’t have worries since you’re still paying them via NSF. As if I already don’t have other bills to pay post-surgery. Yes guys, make MY life easier by throwing in MORE worries. Nothing say’s “I care about your health” more than a doctor’s bill does. If you’re looking to make an appointment here, GOD FORBID you have a last minute emergency at work/home because you WILL be reprimanded for basically having a life.Like I said, I’ve worked in many doctor offices before and I’m happy to say ALL the locations I worked at ALWAYS found some way to work with billing and their patients– unlike the Jackson Clinic.

Went there with full 50% tear of rotator cuff to try to avoid surgery. My two primary therapists were Conor & Adam, and both were great. They worked in tandem to get the most out of each session. Doctor decided that after about 12 sessions PT should take a back seat to exercising at home (& using a couple machines at the gym) since my range of motion had improved significantly. Not sure how that will play out in the future, but I would not hesitate to return if needed. And a shout out to POTUS the therapy dog.

because of these women and gentlemen, I love yoga, after always being told because of my body type that I wouldn’t look good or fit in certain things or look good doing certain positions at my very first yoga studio the universe led me to one of the best studios. I believe there are around now I have checked out other studios since I’ve been to Haas there’s no environment like us as small as intimate. The instructor wants to be inviting the instructor wants to relate no matter what instructor you have I thoroughly enjoy Simone ‘s class on Saturday mornings and I’m truly eager to get back to them next week if you are looking for that sweat and then shit check out cats class I believe it’s Tuesday morning. She does a few more throughout the week but that chick right there that talk about being snatched she’ll get it done for you. all seriousness Hass yoga is a really really legit judgment free zone. It’s move at your own pace and assistance if you want it.I appreciate Haley for inviting me when she did. It was the perfect opportunity and I sister moment again check out HAUS Yoga on eighth Street whatever your schedule fits I promise you any and every class you walk into at the end of it you’re gonna love it and you’re gonna want to come back and try a new cost to get to know more people Really really great environmentThank you are you lovely instructors in host has yoga, you guys freaking rock !!!

Great spot for some spicy sweaty yoga. I was craving a new studio post Covid and birthing two humans and stumbled upon this place on google maps. What a gem! Studio owner is a delight. Studio is well maintained. Mats are included so I don’t have to lug mine on my half mile hike to the studio. Good vibes. Thrilled to have a place like this in the neighborhood. A+. Five stars. Give it a try!

Great rocket variation yoga classes for experienced yogis. Instructors offer variations and assists. They have cubby holes, a large rest room, and a mat storage room. If you are fatigued with every local yoga class catering to either beginners or acrobats, try this studio. That said, Haus definitely takes time for arm balances and headstands. They just do a slightly better job at integrating them into the class, rather than declaring: now, it is handstand time! They did not offer a studio tour. It appears that mats are free, no filtered water available, no showers, non cork yoga mats. You have to leave your shoes outside of the studio on the landing. Another DC studio priced to favor membership without offering a lot of classes. So one class is $25 (without promos or deals), but a monthly unlimited option is around $116/month with 2 weeks notice to cancel. A woman made a homophobic remark to a small group, including an instructor, on our way out of the studio. May not be an LGBTQIA friendly studio, may just be that woman really really wanting us to know she is not queer.

People often ask me, “do you believe in this stuff?” I get it. I’m an attorney and a social scientist. I like facts and evidence. And also, there is no definitive way to prove or disprove “this stuff.” There is, however, significant evidence, that I have witnessed on multiple occasions, that meaningful, discrete/proprietary, and uplifting information is consistently conveyed through Cheryl. “This stuff” is powerful and can improve your life in meaningful ways. Here are some facts. A little less than a year ago, we did a family reading in an attempt to connect with my late father. He came through with a personalized message for each my mother, siblings, and me. Next, my maternal grandmother came through. She referred to making pineapple upsidedown cake with my mom as a little girl, which was specific and completely true and special between the two of them. Here’s where it gets really cool. She indicated that my mom has a different biological father than the father who raised her and urged my mom to check the online DNA databases. My mom decided to submit a DNA sample. My brother helped her do some digging. Low and behold, my mother does have a different biological father! And, three half-siblings, cousins, and grandchildren she had no idea about until a few months ago. If it weren’t for our session with Cheryl, she still would not know about them. This past weekend, my mom got to meet one of her half-brothers. They look so much alike it is mindblowing. Our hearts are full with the potential for getting to know these warm and wonderful “new” family members. The DC Medium, Cheryl, is the real deal. Her gift is true and her heart is good.

The first 50 minites was spent on spirit guides who resemble famous people, and the topics all related to sex……..Information given was totally off the wall and wrong on so many levels. I could have opened YouTube and watched a comedy show for free. I feel bad for my friends who paid $400 to connect with loved ones, just for us to leave shaking our heads…….

Today, our family had the pleasure of having Cheryl meet with us to give a reading and communicate with our loved ones. We were simply amazed at the very special gift that Cheryl has to connect with spirits and angels! For example, Cheryl described our mother’s personality, that she was very chatty, had a cat (Lyle) with her, and had a unique physical characteristic that only our family knew. Also, Cheryl described our father in that he loved to work with his hands, was a veteran, was very direct, had a problem with one of his legs and was very nauseous/sick to his stomach before he passed. All of this was right on!! Cheryl also described my daughter in law’s grandmother to a tee where she was very proper, liked to get her nails done, loved her rose garden, and passed very quickly. We were thrilled to know that these loved ones came to us thru Cheryl and it gave us much needed peace and happiness. We loved their messages! Cheryl also took the time and shared what our spirit guides wanted us to know about our futures, such as retiring, careers, expecting more children, health, communication, etc. This afternoon was truly enriching and we loved knowing our loved ones were with us in spirit! Cheryl is a lovely, warm, and engaging medium who I strongly recommend to anyone who wants to connect with their loved ones. She is patient and kind. She knew things that we were surprised to hear. We recorded our session and can’t wait to listen to it again! Don’t hesitate to make an appointment. You will be so happy you did.

With all due respect, I was not impressed. I don’t think she said even one thing accurately. So much has happened in my life and If I had really connected with my loved one, there’s no way that they would not talk about all these things. I was not impressed. Sorry I really wanted to believe her and wish it were true. 🙁

My first experience with a medium. I got more than what I could have asked for. I drove to her from Laurel, MD after just feeling a good connection with her just over email. She was very nice, welcoming, willing to answer any questions I had. I really got a lot of answers that I feel as though I needed. I will probably come see her again in a few months or so.

I didn’t really know what to expect but I got more than I bargained for. I have never been to a medium like her before so I didn’t really know what you could or could not do. She was able to accurately describe how some people in my past have died. Some stuff she did get wrong we’re appearances but she was accurately able to describe a lot of their personalities and stuff that made sense to me. She said that my uncle who had recently pasted said that there was something wrong with his gravesite like something was messed up with it. We had to reorder his headstone because the wording was wrong. She gets signs and symbols some of which don’t make to much sense to her so you have to kinda figure out what they are trying to show her. It’s not going to be point blank answers but the stuff she said no one could have known.

My dad, Stanley, was a psychologist and incredibly complicated. He loved us deeply, but he was a habitual liar, even about innocuous things that were easy to dispute. Our small family of my mom, younger brother and I used that to our advantage and he became the scapegoat for our family. That said, we always knew he loved us. When he came through in our reading, he mentioned his “banana nose.” He was very good looking and had a rather large, Greek nose. In the cartoon, Charlie Brown, Snoopy received an award “banana nose dog of the year” and that’s how dad got his nickname. The allusion to a ‘banana,’ demonstrated his love for us and that it continues. He acknowledged his lack of transparency and honesty (albeit not really apologetically) but understood the impact he had on us. And we had the opportunity to tell him how much we really did love him as well. Knowing he could still joke with us about his “banana nose” showed us while he isn’t perfect, he is still dad and always will be.

For those looking to connect with a loved one who has passed on, I totally recommend Cheryl! She helped me connect with my mother and grandfather. She also gave me valuable information on my children and divine ‘advice’ for my future. Her reading along, with a newfound awareness of life after physical death, has changed my life for the better! I have never been happier and more understanding of the meaning of life and its challenges. I have sent all of my friends, including my daughter, to see her and she has helped them too. She is down to earth and possesses, in my opinion, a true gift from God. She is the real deal folks! No doubt about it!!!!

I just want to say a big thank you to all the staff. I remember coming in with so much pain. I thought I was hopeless and felt like I wasn’t getting better, but with time and following instructions during Physical therapy and implementing instructions outside of physical therapy, I started to see improvement. These physical therapists are masters of their craft. I want to thank Dan, Ben, Stephanie, and Tammy for all the hard work they have put in to help me get better. I was coming in 3 days each week for 6 months. I worked mostly with Stephanie and Ben, they both are awesome! Dan is the man! Everyone was awesome, nice, cool, and fun to talk to.Even though it took 6 months to get better, but when you have nerve damage at, that’s what it takes to get better. I’m so thankful and grateful.

Best PT I’ve received in my life. I’ve seen 3-5 different PTs & Chiros for my shoulder pain and I can’t say enough about the quality of care I have received from Alliance Physical Therapy. I’m a 4.5 tennis player and have been dealing with severe shoulder and elbow pains during the past several months. Been taking 600mg of Ibuprofen before going to bed because I kept on waking up from shoulder pain and arm numbness… but after a few hours, I still struggled to find a good night of sleep. I changed rackets several times, grips, ways to stretch, etc. but nothing worked. Then finally met Rachel and Magda at APT. Not sure if you’ve experience relief from just talking to someone who understands your pain but Rachel knew exactly how I felt and where the problem was. She squeezed several trigger points from my forearm, biceps, shoulder, neck, and back to identify the problem. She introduced me to dry needling, which at first, sounded intimidating so she took the time to explain the process thoroughly. After the first session of dry needling, I felt sore for a few days as if I had been lifting heavy weights but realized soon enough that the initial pain from the tight muscles and sensitive nerves were nearly gone. Rachel’s confidence and skills were clearly validated by how my shoulder feels now and I cannot thank her enough. I’ve also been seeing Magda who has been performing manual therapy on the same parts of my upper body and those sessions have really changed the quality of my sleeps. I used to wake up 2-3 times at night because of this horrible pain and that is now history. All the other staff members are constantly working hard while keeping a high quality of care for their patients (shout out to Gabby). APT has redefined therapy for me. Thank you!

I’ve been going to Alliance Physical Therapy (Fairfax) for several months and I can’t say enough good things about my experiences and treatment here. I’ve never been in physical therapy a day before in my life, so I was nervous and not sure what to expect. I was sent to PT by an orthopedic doctor after I sought help for chronic lower back pain. I’ve dealt with it for 5-6 years but a 100% telework schedule due to COVID kicked it into high gear. It was debilitating and got to the point where I would just lay down and cry because of how much it hurt. They’ve done a great job of making patients feel safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Everyone wears masks and hand sanitizer is widely available throughout the office. The front desk has an acrylic partition and they’re great about using hand sanitizer when they collect your payment. All the staff are constantly cleaning equipment. Now, onto the physical therapists themselves. I first met with Dr. Hiral Naik. She did my initial assessment and then gave me some at-home exercises to keep up on. She then gave me a deep-tissue massage which HURT but I felt great afterwards. I had no idea I had so much tension.I started working with Dr. Josh Summers after that. He’s a fantastic instructor and got me working on a regular round of exercises at the office. I’m now more aware of my body and know how to work out safely. Form is everything! Dr. Rachel Odom is now my regular PT and let me tell you – she changed my life. During our first session together, she identified issues with my hip/pelvis alignment and corrected it. This whole time, I thought I had issues with my spine!! The relief was immediate and I spent the rest of my week gliding around, amazed that I was no longer in debilitating pain. I see Rachel regularly now, once per week, and she’s great about regulating my pain, guiding me through new exercises to strengthen my muscles, and follow-through on what I’m doing at home. Posture, stretching, minding your alignment, and strengthening. Everyone has always been friendly, professional, and they genuinely care about your pain management and health. For years, my friends and coworkers were saying that I was exaggerating my pain or that I was “too young” to have back pain. Josh and Rachel immediately knew something was wrong. It was incredibly validating to know that I wasn’t crazy and that yes, my pain really was that bad. They have done everything in their power (and continue to!) to treat me. I have a long way to go before I think I can graduate from PT but my qualify of life is so much better. My pain is now at a manageable level and I’m more aware of my body than I was before. Scheduling my appointments are easy – the front desk staff has always been friendly (Chris and Tammy). I have a weekly standing appointment and regularly receive text message reminders. I pay up-front, sign, and schedule my appointment for the following week then and there. The location is super easy to get to and parking is plentiful. Be aware of tight corners around the parking garage, it can get a little crowded during peak hours. Overall, can’t recommend this place enough!

I have been going to Alliance Fairfax for about seven months now and have nothing but wonderful things to say about everyone there. I have used almost all the therapists, Josh, Herol, Magda, and Kelly and Tammy regularly help me out. This group is really the best. They have helped bring me back to a manageable shoulder situation after I had worked for months without being able to lower the pain. Now, I finally feel like I am getting to a place where my shoulder is functional and I wont have to deal with a chronic issue like I thought I would have to. I have started being able to get back to physical activity without any pain or struggles. One of my favorite thing is that they use ALL the tools, manual therapy, stretching, machines, cupping, electric stimulation, really I feel like they give me all the magic that I could need to heal my body. I am also always impressed with their knowledge and ability to answer my questions about why they are doing one thing and how that impacts my body. Ive also always appreciated their willingness to work with me on my own schedule and their nonchalance at me sometimes having to bring in my kids with me to therapy. They also have been able to help my husband with his back with a chiropractor that is readily available. Really, i have nothing but fantastic things to say. Thank you!

Dr Rachel Odom could be a private medical provider for the stars or senators or Olympian’s or billionaires only and make a killing. She is THAT good. She is the best medical provider I have had throughout a traumatic experience of developing two rare physically debilitating diseases since March: Parsonage Turner Syndrome & Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. I was an otherwise healthy young attorney before I got struck by lightning with these diseases in March after receiving the Covid-19 vaccine. Rachel is excellence embodied. In the beginning of the onset of my diseases, I went to more than ten medical doctors and three physical therapy places (including Ortho Virginia and Ortho Bethesda, GW specialists, Inova specialists, Inova ER). Rachel examined me in my first Evaluation and knew I had elevated ribs and thoracic outlet syndrome, and muscle spasms and nerve pain all over my back, shoulder, arms, and hands. All the highly rated doctors I saw in the DMV area just did their narrow tests and kicked me to the next specialist and said oh well, there’s nothing I can do. It was outrageous. One orthopedic surgeon who Rachel was kind enough to speak to on the phone and give her recommendations to dismissed both of us and said that that me having TOS would be the chances of one in so many thousands, and he refused to prescribe me flexeril which would target muscle spasms but instead just gave me unhelpful Valium. Guess what? I was that one in many thousands. Months later he acknowledged that and apologized. In my experience, Rachel knows better than the “medical doctors”. I was misdiagnosed and ignored again and again. I had all the privilege in the world to have great insurance to keep going to top doctors to help me but none of them did. Only Rachel Odom felt my body, examined it with the utmost care and attention to detail, and knew what the hell was going on and how *SERIOUS* it was immediately. She NAILED IT from the FIRST evaluation. Everyone else poo pooed me for months during the acute stage of my sickness. Studies show that if I DIDNT receive the right therapies/treatments from the beginning I could have lost my ability to move my arms and my muscles could have atrophied. I didn’t get prescription relief until May, when I had to fly to Miami to see a neurologist specialist who reviewed all of Rachel’s notes, and did agree with Rachel’s medicine prescription recommendations, and diagnosed me properly for the Parsonage Turner Syndrome as well. Through it all, Rachel’s physical therapy and *DRY NEEDLING* gave me the relief to survive. I don’t use “survive” lightly. She is a former marine and she is strong and grounded as hell. If you are a man – fear not – Rachel is so strong and she has so many male clients literally lined up waiting to see her. She balances empathy and compassion with strength and pushing you to strengthen yourself. She knew I was capable of mentally being able to handle my pain and calm my body down despite the agonizing pain so that she could needle me in the areas that needed relief. At first, she couldn’t even touch me without me crying. She would coach me through calming down and breathing, surrendering to my situation, reminding me that the more emotional I became, the tighter my muscles would tense, the more pain I would be in. The dry needling was something I never heard of but I trusted her to do it in all of the places she saw fit and I always felt a release and my body always felt so much better. She even needled the scalenes in my neck and the base of my head- everywhere- though I am a risk averse attorney. At this point I’ve had hundreds of dry needles and trigger point releases. I trust Rachel with my body because she 100% knows what she is doing. I would text my family that “Rachel did it again!” after every session where she would revive me from the dead hell I was in. And I still do after two dry needling/PT sessions a week as I am still in recovery. I cannot overstate Rachel’s excellence and her knowledge of anatomy. She knows how everything connects- even in places you wouldn’t expect to affect other places. When you’ve been through the level of pain I’ve been through, and continue to live and work through a debilitating disease every day of your life, you can’t explain to others how valuable relief of pain and progress really is. Rachel looked me in the eye in the toughest part of my life and held onto my hand and told me I was going to make it through. I believed her and kept box breathing through the agonizing pain because she was there with me directing me through it all. She released tension and pain in my body again and again and again and again. Every session. She listened and adjusted and focused on different areas to let them release. If it weren’t for her, I don’t know what I would’ve done. She has been my rock in my recovery and I am forever indebted to her. For healing, there is no better person in the world than Rachel Odom. Take it from me.

I’ve had nothing but great care from Alliance Physical Therapy in Falls Church. Over the years, I’ve seen them for a few different problems, and during that time I’ve worked with three different therapists and they were all thoughtful and professional and worked as well with my doctors office as they did with me, which is much appreciated. I changed insurance in the middle of my treatment, and the front desk staff made that process remarkably painless. I highly recommend them.

I have a chronic pain issue and am in constant pain. I have been to physical therapists since I was 7 years old and I am now 23. Never before have I had such an amazing experience with a physical therapist. I have been a patient here since August and it is currently November and I go twice a week. Ben has been the only one to ever use Traction on me to help with my joint alignment and he is continuously trying to new exercises to make me feel better. I leave every appointment feeling a bit sore, but also 100x better than when I went in because for a solid two days, I don’t have anywhere near as much pain as when I first come in. He is a great listener, he remembers where I have my pain, he works hard to use the best approach for my body, and he also teaches me exercises and stretches to manage my pain between appointments. I trust him so much and I have continuously recommended him to friends. The front desk is amazing, the atmosphere is inviting, and the scheduling is quick and painless. They are also extremely flexible. Some days, I wake up and I can’t make it to PT because of my chronic pain and I am able to reschedule without penalty, or even move an appointment the same day.Overall, I couldn’t recommend this place often enough.

If you want a place where someone micromanaged you from the first visit till months later, then this probably isn’t the place for you. What I love about this PT is they stick with you every step of the way till about a few weeks out and then let you guide yourself through the exercises. There’s always someone there watching if you have any questions. It’s one giant room so if you’re shy you might not like that. They have a ton of equipment, their staff is very friendly and highly trained, easy to schedule/reschedule appointments, and they provide the best exercises and stretches for your injury type. I was in a car accident and have been working closely with them for 2 months now. I will miss them when I’m gone but they have truly helped my neck and back when I didn’t think I’d feel the same again. I highly recommend this place!

One negative that is the therapist cannot focus on you only, he might train other people and lose the concentrate on you. However, this place helped me recover my knee and ankle injury. The therapist is well trained and he knows what exactly is he doing. Also you can simply find the great time for your schedule. So far, I would recommend you to go and try their therapy.

Both OT and PT works well with a variety of conditions. They will try to understand exactly what you need, and then create therapies for you.
