I am a regular at Jen’s Gentle Yoga class, have seen her for Reiki, Body Wisdom as well as attending a couple of meetup meditations. She creates a very peaceful atmosphere that along with her gentle leading and wisdom leaves you renewed and uplifted. We all need to give ourselves the gift of good care of our bodies, minds and spirit,I highly recommend Jen’s classes/sessions as a great way to do that.Chris L.

I’ve been going faithfully to Jennifer Shope at Zen Path Healing Arts to attend the guided meditations and chakra work. I’ve been so pleased and surprised at how much I’ve experienced at her sessions. I love it! I’d recommend it for anyone looking to work on their self-healing and to achieve a more focused center. In this day and age, we need all that we can get, in that respect. I look forward to the day where I can utilize what she offers in the way of instruction in Reiki. I’m fascinated. She makes the meditation easy and especially, for anyone a little timid or shy about going, it is a breeze with Jennifer. Again, I recommend Zen Path Healing Arts for anyone.

I can truly say that Jen is an excellent Reiki practioner and also Yoga teacher. Jen has an uncanny ability to”see” what’s going on with you. I have had this happen to me on both Reiki sessions with Jen. Her yoga classes were always popular and well attended everywhere she has taught. She has quite a following due to her yoga knowledge but also most importantly her connection with her students. She can certainly read the level of energy in you in a Reiki session and a yoga class as well. Highly recommended.

I discovered Pilates 3 years ago. It has changed my life mentally and physically. I am going into my second year with Laura. She is the owner and the instructor of this Pilates Studio. She has several different types of Pilates equipment . The equipment and her instruction will challenge you and help you achieve your fitness goals…whether you are looking for strength, stamina, toning or flexibility….Laura will get you there. I credit Laura for helping through my rehab after my ACL reconstruction surgery! She did more for me than the physical therapy I went through. She was the next step in my rehab and helped me achieve the goals I set for myself. Got back problems? Since I started Pilates 3 years ago, I have not been back to my chiropractor! She is a certified master Pilates instructor. She is excellent at both private and group sessions. I am blessed to have her in my life! You won’t be disappointed…I promise.

I wanted to wait to write my review after having taken a months worth of classes. I am happy to say that my opinions of the studio have only improved because my experiences this past month solidified the positive first impression I had on the day I walked in after seeing a sign posted outside.I have taken a range of the beginner classes, including gentle yoga, intro to yoga, yoga basics, and the amazing restorative classes, which are offered several times a week. I could write pages about how much I love this place, but I will try to keep this brief. First of all, the studio is a warm, cozy, inviting environment, and I always immediately become more relaxed by just walking in. The front area has tons of yogi apparel and accessories for sale, and I love the convenience of that. Both of the practice rooms are tastefully, yet simply decorated and the dimmed lights and candles give the rooms a vibe or relaxation and quiet focus. I have taken classes with Melissa and Tricia and I hope to get around to taking classes with the other talented instructors at the studio. The real star, however, is Debbie. As the Brian mentioned, Debbie is one of the warmest, most friendly, genuine people I have met and she welcomed me with such kindness to the area and to the studio on the day that I happened to walk in. She truly cares about each and every person who walks into the studio and she takes her time to make sure you are properly aligned and doing each move correctly when you take her classes. She makes you feel comfortable with trying new things, but she is respectful of personal limitations and varying levels of expertise within any given class. I always leave Lifesource with a renewed sense of calm and relaxation and I am excited to make this place a part of my life here in Akron. I will certainly be extending my membership.
Eric S. rated 5 stars on 8/2/2018
Excellent studio, though the soft-ish flooring is kind of odd. Also have never been in a studio where it seemed acceptable for people to come in a few minutes late for a session. But they have great instructors, ample props including very nice bolsters, a clean restroom big enough to change in, and ample parking too. Definitely will be back — not taking points off for the floor since that’s a very personal viewpoint, and not taking points off for the staff letting people come in late since it’s a little annoying but not worth complaining too loudly about (forgive yourself and others, right?). (Also would be good for them to have an electronic sign-in process when arriving, but again, these are all very minor complaints and I will absolutely return here. Stacy in particular was an excellent instructor. My only other suggestion would be for them to incorporate more pranayama and mindfulness meditation (for example, I like when instructors advise setting an intention at the beginning of the session, or positive affirmations, or speaking about the value of letting go… all would make nice additions to their classes, unless you prefer more functional and less spiritual/thoughtful yoga practice).

I’ve taken a few yoga classes here and there, but never at an actual studio. I was expecting a bunch of stuffy rich people with designer yoga clothes that were going to turn their noses up at me for being the new person but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The lady at the desk was so kind and gave me a tour of the place, as well as told me exactly what to expect as far as classes, where to put my things, and even recommended other classes to me based on my skill level. The following two things about Lifesource impressed me the most, and they are the reasons I will continue to go back:1) the quick response I got when I emailed the owner with questions – she was happy to hear from me, and cared about my concerns. Not too common these days.2) the variety and quantity of classes they have that meet my schedule! I don’t get home until 5:15 and still have at least 3 classes to choose from every evening, not to mention the weekend classes.Highly recommend!!

On November 30, 2011 I took a class an intermediate level yoga class at Lifesource Yoga in Akron Ohio. The instructor for the class was Kim Butash and the class was from 6:00 pm to 7:15. Overall I though Kim was a good teacher, because of the elements she brought into the class. Her tone of voice was strong, yet friendly. She seemed very approachable from the second I walked into her class. When Kim went through the asanas, I think she did a good job at balancing out the time to stay in each posture, this is extremely important to me, because I think its crucial that you spend an equal time on both sides of your body when working out. When she instructed the pose she would first do them to demonstrate to her students how they looked, but would go around the make modifications if a student needed them. The way she corrected your posture was helpful but not intrusive. She really stresses how students should go to their limit, not the limit of others. One thing in particular that Kim did that I really appreciated, as a student was she gave alternative poses for poses that were difficult like inversions. I truly enjoyed this aspect because I do not like when I am in a class and everyone does headstand, but I have to sit out because of my neck, by having an alternative pose to do I felt like I was able to participate a hundred percent. What I did not like in Kim class was the music she played. I found it to be distracting. For example, she played songs by Envouge and would sing along during some parts, which made it very hard to concentrate. Another thing that I did not like was when she closed the class in sivasana, she did not do the traditional corpse pose, instead she lets students pick their poses, which create movement during a time that is traditionally silent. Overall I enjoyed her class and would take another class from her at some point

Tom and his staff are amazing! I had such terrible lower back and sciatica pain that I could not sleep in bed and for 3 weeks I slept in the recliner. After a few weeks of therapy, Tom’s program helped so much that my pain is just about gone and I’m sleeping in bed again! He was able to localize the pain and gave me exercises to bring healing. They are all so kind, considerate, professional, and are very much interested in your well-being. Thank you so very much!J. Dickey

Visited connecting touch for the first time yesterday, 11/19/21. I was impressed with everything: cleanliness, decor, temperature of the room, and my massage itself. Scott found every knot and sore muscle and I’m feeling much better today.I was lucky to have a gift certificate because I am a veteran, so I only had to pay for a half hour for an hour massage. BTW, the owner is a proud Vietnam veteran. I highly recommend Connecting Touch and will definitely be a regular customer. There is a massage package deal available until 12/30/21.

I am 64 years old and had never had a professional massage, so my son gave me a gift certificate for Christmas. I had my first-ever massage yesterday at Connecting Touch, and am thrilled with the outcome! I have had pain and stiffness in my neck and shoulders for years, and Tylenol, ice, and physical therapy had provided only minimal relief. But I could feel the knots and spasms in my muscles dissolve away during the course of my 30 minute massage. I feel better than I have in years. I will definitely be a regular customer going forward.

I’ve tried many places in the area and nothing compares to Connecting Touch. The friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness, the actual massages and the price. Can’t beat it. I feel grateful to be be able to come here. After both chair massages I’ve had here I felt amazing for days after too. Awesome place.

There is nothing better than walking into a place and having a warm wrap placed around your neck while you wait. That sets the tone for the rest of the appointment. This is a non-tipping facility that I checked out on recommendation of a friend. This isn’t a fancy spa, and you see the difference in the price. The massages at this facility are wonderful, very consistent and yet not pricey because it’s not a spa and there’s not that expectation. The staff is incredible and very understanding.

I went to Crystal Clinic when the 2 other doctors would not help me. My boyfriend took me to Crystal Clinic and I was recommended to Dr.Stachowicz, Rafal Z., M.D.” I had a mass the size of an orange on my elbow and was in extreme pain. Dr. Stachowicz was very kind, he listened to me instead of zoning out and pretending to listen like most other doctors I’ve been to. He took one ultrasound and had me scheduled for surgery. There were a few hiccups in the healing process but Dr. Stachowicz and the staff at Crystal Clinic (including the physical therapy staff) were AMAZING. I would happily recommend Crystal Clinic to anyone.

As a local Family Physician, I have referred many patients to the PT Center. I have had the opportunity to follow the progress of my patients and I have been a patient myself. The “hands-on” physical therapy delivered by Kevin Outwater and his colleagues has been superb.
Sydney S. rated 2 stars on 6/24/2015
Pros: very kind and knowledgeable athletic trainers and therapists.Cons: the therapist spends about 10 minutes out of the 1-2 hour appointments with you. The quoted price on the phone for visits (~$75/visit) is false and I was charged over $200 per visit– I continuously asked what my appointments would cost at the time services were rendered and was told “don’t worry, we’ll work with you”. I can tell you that is false- they don’t work with you; when I asked to speak to the owner regarding this, the billing person (unfortunately I cannot remember her name-Deanna maybe?)said no. Since I had moved out of town, I couldn’t resolve the issue in person. Also, they charge different prices for different body parts? I’m a physical therapist and know that this is NOT standard practice. A therapeutic exercise charge is a therapeutic exercise charge, and insurance reimbursement does not differ depending on body part, so don’t let them persuade you otherwise.I’d highly recommend looking elsewhere for care. The lack of professionalism when it comes to the validity of their quoted prices and dealing with the billing representative makes me sad to work in the same field.
Brett D. rated 2 stars on 9/28/2016

After dealing with a back problem for the last five years, and having multiple bouts of therapy with two previous therapists, I have thankfully found the PT center. Nathan and Ron have shown real interest in getting to the bottom of the issue and work hard to keep me functioning at the highest levels. In addition to great therapy and results, they have gone to bat with my insurance company, who was refusing visits, and somehow got my treatment extended. Great environment during sessions as well. Very motivating place. Thanks!

I have been very happy with this facility. I have quite a few very well qualified orthopedic doctors. Unfortunately I’ve had to see a few. One for my hand one for my shoulder one for my back one for my knee and one for my hamstring. I hit 55 and my body seems to be having problems now. Lol everyone I’ve seen has been exceptional. I usually do research who is the most qualified for my problem at the moment And I prefer the younger doctors. I wanna specifically mention Dr. Laskovski And Dr. Scully, I found to be above and beyond. I also want to mention Max and Physical Therapy and doing dry. Needling has been amazing. The receptionist in Hudson for the orthopedic doctors. I believe her name is Cheryl is exceptionally kind and friendly. Unfortunately, the receptionist in the Physical Therapy are not so kind and friendly or helpful.
